Damage calculator not correct?

I was nuzlocking Pokémon crystal and I found myself with a snorlax lvl 50 against lance's dragonite lvl 47. The dragonite hit with twister (non crit) and hyperbeam (crit) and killed snorlax. When I use the damage calculator it appears that even on high roll, Minimum Evs on snorlax and máximum on dragonite shouldn't kill snorlax but It did. I don't know what happened.

If you're using the Pokemon Showdown damage calc, then the DVs that you set to 0 are the equivalent of IVs, not EVs. Stat Experience is the gen 2 equivalent of EVs, and the showdown calc doesn't let you edit it, because there's no reason to not have max Stat Experience in a competitive battle. This calc I found does let you change Stat Experience, and if you have a Snorlax with minimum DVs and Stat Experience and a Dragonite with maximum DVs and Stat Experience at the levels you specified, then a Hyper Beam crit kills on its own.
