Regidrago is an offensive threat with great damage potential thanks to the combination of Dragon's Maw and its amazing Dragon-type STAB options. Draco Meteor gives Regidrago a powerful single-target burst option, being able to do massive damage to a majority of the format. While Dragon Pulse is weaker, it deals consistent damage over time, making it better for situations where the power of Draco Meteor is not necessary. Earth Power brings solid coverage into Regidrago's moveset for opposing Steel-types at the cost of not doing great damage due to it not being STAB- or Dragon's Maw-boosted. Tera Blast pairs well with Tera Ghost to threaten Ghost-weak Pokemon such as Calyrex-S and Gholdengo. Life Orb helps increase Regidrago's damage output to insane levels, with the drawback of making Dragon Energy weaker over time; Dragon Fang, on the other hand, sacrifices higher damage output for the lack of recoil, giving Regidrago's Dragon Energy and bulk more consistency. Tera Dragon pushes Regidrago's damage even further, allowing it to pick up KOs on extremely bulky Pokemon like Calyrex-I with Draco Meteor and Helping Hand-boosted Dragon Energy, as well as Amoonguss and Incineroar with Tera Dragon Dragon Energy. Tera Ghost provides Regidrago with a Fake Out immunity, helping in its hyper-aggressive gameplan; it also has the extra benefit of removing its weaknesses.
Regidrago's biggest weakness is Fairy-types such as Flutter Mane and Zacian-C, as well as Tera Fairy Pokemon like Calyrex-S and Raging Bolt. Faster Pokemon like Miraidon, Koraidon, and Chien-Pao are other huge threats for Regidrago because they can outspeed and OHKO it. Zacian-C is a great partner for Regidrago, utilizing its typing to threaten Fairy-types. Terapagos is another good partner Restricted Pokemon, being an alternative spread move attacker that can punish opposing Tera Fairy Pokemon that Regidrago would struggle against. Tailwind setters like Tornadus and Whimsicott cover for Regidrago's middling Speed tier and provide it with the ability to outspeed faster threats, drastically increasing its snowball potential. Indeedee-F and Farigiraf are other great partners, blocking priority moves like Fake Out and Sucker Punch with their abilities, setting up Trick Room to help against certain matchups like opposing Tailwind teams, and using Helping Hand to make Regidrago stronger. Indeedee-F is especially helpful thanks to its access to Follow Me, providing redirection support for Regidrago.
