DANCING IN THE RAIN
INTRODUCTION
I started out this team by asking a buddy of mine how I could make a specially offensive dragonite effective, and he showed me a set where he was specialized in SpAtk with Hurricain! So I decided to make a rain team around dragonite. But like charizard in my previous team dragonite will only serve as a revenge killer but occasionally as a sweeper. And this team would actually be specialized on stalling and then finishing with dragonite or my other pokemon J
TEAM BUILDING PROCESS
So like every rain team I started with a politoed and obviously my star pokemon was needed
Here to help dragonite I needed to have two Twavers that were bulky to stall and allow dragonite for a late game sweep, with hurricain or draco meteor.
In the end I also needed two in game sweepers and also a rapid spinner so starmie was an obvious choice and my brother told me about lapras.
After testing the final team It worked for a while but for some reason that I do not recollect, lapras kept on dying L so I decided to replace him with toxicroak and found a pretty good combination with the Twavers J but I will go into that in depth

So this is an obvious member of the team since it IS a rain team. However he does not only serve the purpose of weather inducer he is also a great support character since he is a good switch in , he allows dragonite and celebi to escape safely from ice attacks, but not only that! He is great against sun teams because even if he is against a sunny day ninetails he resists a solarbeam , because as you can see he is quite the bulky pokemon J with his Ev spreads in HP and SPDEF . Techniques like perish song permits him to force the enemie’s pokemon to switch , and thanks to protect he gains 1 turn , and I get a free switch, also with protect politoed gets a portion of his life back with lefties.

DRAGONITE!!!! My favorite pokemon! He is the reason why I created this team J I have always wanted to play a weired version of dragonite that no one usally uses . Do not be folled , thinking that physical dragonite is better this guy is a fuckin BEAST! So dragonite here , just like charizard in my sun team is gonna come in to revenge kill the pokemon that comes in, also he serves as a good late-game sweeper with the help of my two Twave supporters , celebi and ferrothorn which will serve to slow down the opponent. Even if dragonite isn’t fast multiscale allows him to survive and hit the opponent hard.

This guy is the MAN! (or you know… the plant XD) so basically he is also good like politoed he will let me switch in thanks to his great DEF bulk . Other than him being a good switch in he allows me to the paralyse most of the opponents team especially if I switch in to a outrage user , this will allow me to force the opponent to switch and paralyse the incoming pokemon. He is also a pretty good counter against fast pokemon thanks to gyro ball , all choice scarf pokemon are scared of ferrothorn.

Here celebi will have the same role as ferrothorn, to Twave the opponents team. Celebi , according to my friends is the “most annoying f****** pokemon in the f****** world” because he is bulky and thanks to the rain his fire weakness disappears and thanks to his access to giga drain and recover he lasts a very very long time. Celebi is usually the pokemon I use to switch in after politoed’s perish song to Twave the opponent.

Here you have the basic starmie Ev spread with high speed and spatk and is basically a in-game sweeper and is also my rapid spinner he is quite a good pokemon because he abuses of the rain with thunder and with his life orb ,STAB, rain enhanced hydro pump he is a real beast in the rain! Starmie is usually the pokemon who is a suicide sweeper , he might not kill every pokemon but he weakens all other pokemon until toxicroak comes in the game and finishes them off.

Toxicroak is the greatest asset of my team , he is the point behind all the thunderwaving. Basically If toxicroak is against a paralysed pokemon under rain, I will first sub and the opponent will probably destroy it , but I will regain the life I lost thanks to rain dish and black sludge , then I will keep on subbing until the opponent is unable to move thanks to paralysis then I will use swords dance , and this process will continue until I get 3 swords dances .Then the opponents team weakened by dragonite or starmie or even celebi will all perish under the wrath of Toxicroak’s 1866 atk and a stab drain or sucker punch.
ONE LAST LOOK AT THE TEAM
