dancing in the sand

ok since 5th generation came out there were so many pokemon and strategies i wanted to experiment with...after trying out the majority of 5th generation pokes and all kind of teams(stall, offensive, weather etc) i came with this team that helped me rise in top 20 of pokemon online server until i changed my name and had to battle all the way again...
----------------------------------------
TEAM BUILDING:
from the beginning i knew this team should be centralized around my favorite new pokemon doryuzzu and helping it sword dancing and sweeping the enemy team...

then i needed sandstorm to double my sweeper's speed since i had been using hippo for a while i decided to go with t-tar for a change...

then i needed a lead to prevent enemies from laying down entry hazards as well as inflict some heavy damage and being able to come later in the match to scout or score some ko's...so here comes kojondo...

then i needed two pokemon to cripple my opponent as well as take some hits for the team and also tanking and annoying my opponent...so here come burungeru and nattorei...

and then i realized i needed a special sweeper to take out physical walls and severely weaken my opponent team to prepare dory's sweep...also i lacked a fire type user so here comes the always wonderful heatran...

after some matches i realized that my team was an easy sweep for roobushin n brello as well as at some point rankurusu...so i needed something to stop them cold....and the i came with a pretty weird counter that i'llexplain later how it functions...so here come the all time favorite GENGAR!,in favor of which i had to sacrifice my kojondo...

-----------------------------------------------------

Ok so now let me explain how this team works...
First of all since the sacrifice of kojondo i needed a new lead...since i want stealth rock on the field as well the extra damage of sandstorm i decided to lead with t-tar...
20100403124909!248Tyranitar.png

Tyranitar@lum berry
sand stream ability
brave nature
Evs 252 hp/88 sp.atk/168 sp.def
stealth rock
crunch
fire blast
superpower
ok after testing with various sets and different ev spreads i found this ev spread to be really effective in this generation...the given evs allow it to even survive focus blasts from some gengars as well as put a huge dent with fire blast at enemy nattoreis...
20100912012536!530Doryuzu.png

Doryuzzu@ballon
sand strength ability
jolly nature
Evs 4hp/252 atk/252spd
swords dance
earthquake
rock slide
brick break
what to say about dory...it can sweep almost every weakened team late game...it can revenge kill...it can force switches...all i have to say is that balloon, jolly and brick break exist for enemy dorys...all the others i believe are obvious...swords dance when you have the chance and then sweep...i just have to be careful to remove counters priority users and overall bulky pokemon...but actually this is the job of the rest of the team...
598Nattorei.png

nattorei@leftovers
iron thorns ability
relaxed nature
Evs 252 hp/60 def/196 sp.def
0 speed ivs
leech seed
substitute
gyro ball
power whip
ok so here comes the first member of my defensive core...this freaking...ufo! exists to annoy the opponent, wall and even force switches with leech seed...ok the strategy is rather simple:send nattorei in to wall a hit, then substitute on the switch and proceed to leech seed...if the opponent pokemon is a grass type either i gyro ball or switch to heatran to wall it to death...since i play wifi most of the time i don't have to worry about shadow tag shandera...the particular ev spread help take special hits better and still maintain high defence...ok if someone wonders why i don't use spikes is because i have tried it in the past and didn't find it necessary to sacrifice a moveslot for spikes or any other move(ok i am talking about thunder wave and explosion...)
20101218012526!593Burungel.png

burungeru@leftovers
water absorb ability
calm nature
Evs 252 hp/196 def/60 sp.def
recover
boil over
toxic
evil eye
ok so burungeru is the second member of my defensive core...it pairs up brilliantly with nattorei when each other helps wall most opponents...i don't think i need to analyze once more about how burungeru absorbs hits aimed at nattorei and vice versa...the given evs help for a most balanced overall defense, even though defense is still quite low...i am actually thinking of changing a mve for will-o-wisp but i can't decide which one and even if i really need that move since boil over has such a great burn rate...
20090805142207!485Heatran.png

heatran@balloon
flash fire ability
timid nature
Evs 4 hp/252 sp.atk/252 spd
nitro charge
fire blast
earth power
hp ice(30 speed ivs really hurt)
so by this point you must be wondering what this guy's job is...well it provides a free switch to ground and fire type moves, as well as toxic,
it uses its devastating fire blast to open holes at the opponent's team as well as it functions as a counter to most dragons, dorys, garchomp, gliscor, and most importantly skarmory and ground flying genie who stop doryuzzu cold...i just need to maintain my balloon to guarantee that none of the previously mentioned can ohko me(apart from the rare hammer arm genie(who is actually taken care of other members of my team and doesn't really ohko unless it carries an attack boosting item...)actually i believe that heatran is the most valuable and important member of my team, even more than dory...

ok and here comes the secret weapon of this team that guarantees its success:
094Gengar.png

gengar@life orb
levitate ability
timid nature
Evs 4hp/252 sp.atk/252 spd
Shadow ball
focus blast...and
protect
destiny bond
ok so here is the general idea behind this set...shadow ball and focus blast are pretty obvious choices for the raw power and perfect neutral coverage... all that matters lies in the two last moveslots of this set...as i mentined earlier with my previous team i couldn't go past several counters...so i decided to change my lead kojondo with a lo gengar...the three particular pokemon i noted earlier were roobushin, breloom and rankurusu, the first two mach punching dory into oblivion and the latter surviving a hit since i have decided to use brick break over x-scissor and ohkoing with focus blast...all of them are taken care of with gengar...breloom,after stealth rock damage, is killed by a boosted shadow ball...roobushin,who is bulky enough to survive a shadow ball and capable of ohkoin with either stone edge or payback is countered the following way:first i protect to scout for its move and then i use destiny bond to take him down with me...now for rankurusu,if it is within ko range i just go for the shadow ball or else, especially if it has used some calm minds i just go for the destiny bond...anyway destiny bond is one of my favorite moves that really rarely lets me down...

so this is my team i am open to suggestions and i will probably add an extensive threat list when i have the time...
