Due to this, it is usually better to use the aforementioned Pokemon over Emboar to prevent one's Fighting team from struggling against common threats like Primarina, Azumarill, and Toxapex.

Iron Valiant greatly benefits from Emboar consistently handling checks to it like Galarian Weezing and Corviknight, allowing it to create holes in teams with its various coverage moves and powerful STAB moves. Setup sweepers like Hisuian Lilligant and Urshifu-R also appreciate the weakening of Pokemon like Gholdengo and Amoonguss, which otherwise prevent them from sweeping. In return, Emboar enjoys the removal of Ground-types like Gliscor and Hippowdon from Urshifu-R and Water-types like Alomomola and Swampert from Hisuian Lilligant. Sneasler also benefits from the elimination of bulky Pokemon like Tornadus-T and Zapdos, which otherwise make it difficult for it to sweep teams. Emboar, in turn, greatly appreciates Sneasler's ability to KO Pokemon like Indeedee and Roaring Moon that otherwise threaten it. Alternatively, a Careful nature with 44 Speed EVs can be used instead when using Flare Blitz over Fire Blast, as Emboar will no longer be utilizing its Special Attack stat and enabling it to outspeed Skarmory.

(Expand on this please) Setup sweepers like Hisuian Lilligant and Urshifu-R also appreciate the weakening of Pokemon like Corviknight, Gholdengo and Amoonguss (Corv only really runs Brave Bird on SpD Bulk up sets, which cannot come in on them at +1 anyway) who otherwise prevent them from sweeping. (Would also be good to mention how Emboar appreciates them removing Ground-type threats and how Lilli-H deals with Water ones) Revenge killers like Sneasler also appreciate having a bulky core to fall back on when they finish their job and are forced to switch out. (Expand on this please) Add Iron Hands as a teammate for dealing with Water- and Flying-types please.
