Set Description:

  • Dark Judgment Offers excellent mono coverage (no immunities to it as well as hitting many Ubers for SE damage)
  • Refresh is used in order to render any Status move (and Toxic Spikes) obsolete.
  • Calm Mind Boosts its Special Attack while also increasing Special Bulk.
  • Recover allows Arceus to heal back its health allowing it to obtain multiple Calm Minds.
Additional Comments:
  • Focus Blast to hits Steels who can have an easy time with this set (Lucario, Kobaruon, Scizor, Heatran etc)
  • Substitute can be used to Block Dark Voids from Darkrai but opens Dark Arceus up to Toxic Spikes
Teammates & Counters:

  • Steel Types are able to take Dark Pulses with ease and retaliate. Skarmory can set entry hazards and phaze you away. Fortress can Set up hazards and explode, Scizor can U-Turn, Lucario and Kobaruon can Close Combat
  • Tyranitar can easily switch into Dark Pulses and hit with a CB Stone Edge
  • Wobbuffet can give Arceus a free set up opportunity with Encore
  • Giratina-O can switch into Fighting and Bug type attacks aimed at it
  • Entry Hazards give Dark Arceus an easier time sweeping

Wow, this thread is old. I have also found Will-o-Wisp to be an effective option in the third moveslot, allowing it to take physical attacks like a champ and potentially set up on things that like to attack physically as well. Also, Arceus-Dark has surprisingly good synergy with Groudon because of Groudon's ability to summon sun for boost Arceus-Dark's Fire Blast (an excellent offensive option alongside Judgment), to set up Stealth Rock (a good idea in the sun), and to dish out strong physical attacks.
