Dark Team

Many of you have seen Moe's Ground team. Well I'm another competitor in the Elite Four challenge mentioned in his thread. I am using the Dark type, obviously, and would like to know what everyone thinks.

The Dark Nine

A Special Tank
Spr_4p_442.png

Spiritomb
Type: Ghost/Dark
Nature: Modest
Ability: Pressure
Item: Zoom Lens
EVs: 252 SpA/ 126 Def/ 126 SpD

Move Set
Dark Pulse
Ominous Wind
Hypnosis
Dream Eater

Spiritomb is built to withstand attacks and deal serious damage against many opponents. Its speed is only 98 so I use the Zoom Lens to boost accuracy. DP and OW for STAB, Hyp and DE for recovery.

Tyraniturne- Pt 1
Spr_4h_248.png

Tyranitar
Type: Rock/Dark
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Sandstream
Item: Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Att/ 4 Def/ 252 Spe

Moveset
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Thunder Fang
Crunch

This particular Tyranitar is meant to outspeed most opponents while dealing heavy damage. SE and Cr for STAB, TF and EQ for coverage. Sand Stream to set up for Cacturne(see below). This is the second Tyranitar I made and it seems to work a lot better than the last.

Tyraniturne- Pt 2

Cacturne
Type: Grass/Dark
Nature: Modest
Ability: Sand Veil
Item: Brightpowder
EVs: 252 SpA/ 252 Spe

Moveset
Dark Pulse
Leech Seed
Giga Drain
Energy Ball

Meant to be evasive and annoying, Cacturne combines Sand Veil and Brightpowder to really dodge those pesky super effective moves, while setting up Leech Seed then GD-ing if hit, or DP-ing to flinch. EB for power. All for STAB.

Flying Ace
Spr_4p_430.png

Honchkrow
Type: Flying/Dark
Nature: Naive
Ability: Super Luck
Item: Choice Scarf
EVs: 100 Att/ 152 SpA/ 252 Spe

Moveset
Night Slash
Superpower
Heat Wave
Air Cutter

This was the last Honch of 5 I made trying to find the right one. I haven't tested this one yet, but I am hopeful. It should outspeed most non-Scarfed opponents, while able to hit physical and special. NS and AC for STAB and to utilise Super Luck, HW and SP for coverage.

Shiftreon- Pt 1
Spr_4d_275_m.png

Shiftry
Type: Grass/Dark
Nature: Timid
Ability: Chlorophyll
Item: Heat Rock
EVs: 252 SpA/ 252 Spe

Moveset
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Giga Drain
Dark Pulse

This was my second Shiftry as my first was a Physical sweeper that was an utter failure. Then I had a pretty good idea with this one. Heat Rock to make SD last. SD to boost Spe, no charge for SB, and to setup for Umbreon (see below). GD to recover and DP for flinch and STAB.

Shiftreon- Pt 2
Spr_4h_197.png

Umbreon(fav)
Type: Dark
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Synchronize
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 252 Att/ 152 Def/ 100 SpD

Moveset
Curse
Payback
Sucker Punch
Moonlight

My personal favorite on the team. Switch in after Shiftry if possible. Curse to raise Att, Def and lower Spe to set up for Payback. Sucker Punch to finish the job, Moonlight to recover lots with the sun out. Umbreon withstood 3 hits of Icicle Spear from Cloyster with Life Orb, Cursing twice then Moonlight to go back to full health. One more Curse for good measure and then Payback to kill.

Spr_4d_342.png

Crawdaunt
Type: Water/Dark
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Shell Armor
Item: Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Att/ 252 Spe

Moveset
Night Slash
Aerial Ace
Crabhammer
????

Not sure what to add to round off the moveset. NS and CH for critical and STAB, AA for no miss. Meant to outspeed foes and hit hard (I'm sensing a pattern here...) Advice on the fourth move would help greatly.

Spr_4p_461_m.png

Weavile
Type: Ice/ Dark
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
Item: Life Orb
EVs: 252 Att/ 252 Spe

Moveset
Night Slash
Aerial Ace
Ice Punch
Metal Claw

Meant to outspeed and hit hard(I think I've heard that before). NS and IP fot STAB, AA for no miss, MC for coverage.

Skuntank
To be adjusted

I also have a Sharpedo and Drapion. Possibly switch for Crawdaunt and Skuntank respectively. I hope to hear from lots of people ready to give their two cents about my dark team.

Thanks.

This team needs quite a few changes

Spiritomb - take it out of the lead position and give it the standard CM restalk set of Rest/Sleeptalk/CalmMind/DarkPulse with 252HP/252Def/4Sdef and a Bold nature @ leftovers you now have a strong special attacker and status absorber and good overall wall.

Put tyranitar as your lead with an ev spread of 252 HP / 32 Atk / 224 SpD and a adamant nature Holding a chesto berry with a moveset of StoneEdge/Payback/Rest/StealthRock. This gets your sandstream up early to help cacturne along with the all important Stealth rock which you team was lacking.

cacturne can be a useful pokemon but with your current move set its not using its best ability to sub(sucker)punch with s Ev spread of 252Atk/252Spe/4Sdef. and a adamant nature with a moveset of Substitue/Focuspunch/SuckerPunch/(Swords dance or leach seed) holding brightpowder he can be a deadly force with suckerpunch and focus punch can cause real damage.

( may continue later but have to go out)

1) your descriptions are lacking;
2) you need to provide complete and tested sets.

PM me the fixes to your OP and I'll unlock this thread.
