Ability: Protosynthesis
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Knock Off
- Outrage / Acrobatics
- Earthquake

[SET COMMENTS]

Roaring Moon serves as a devastating sweeper and progress maker due to its outstanding offensive capabilities, namely, its coveted access to Knock Off paired with exceptional coverage as well as a unique typing that grants it various setup opportunities. Devastating Drake hits phenomenally hard after a Dragon Dance, picking up the OHKO on Great Tusk and Multiscale Dragonite while dealing immense damage to Landorus-T and Alomomola. As an alternative, Acrobatics makes for excellent synergy with Attack Booster Energy and complements Knock Off by hitting Fighting-types like Great Tusk and Zamazenta for super effective damage. Earthquake nails Mega Diancie, Toxapex, and Steel-types like Melmetal and Kingambit.

Offensive, balance, and hyper offensive structures love Roaring Moon's ability to be a dangerous wincon that can soft check Ogerpon-W as well as Mega Charizard Y and put immediate offensive pressure on the opposing team. Additionally, Roaring Moon excels at both making progress and cleaning late-game for various teammates. Bulky Gholdengo likes Roaring Moon switching into Hisuian Samurott and Heatran, and in return, Gholdengo can repeatedly switch into Fairy-types that deny Roaring Moon from making any progress such as Clefable. Iron Valiant can help chip shared checks with Roaring Moon such as Alomomola and Landorus-T. Volcarona is able to deal with bulky Steel-types like Melmetal and Ferrothorn, and in return, Roaring Moon can threaten significant damage to Volcarona's checks such as Garchomp and Ting-Lu using Devastating Drake.

Ability: Protosynthesis
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Atk / 232 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Roost

[SET COMMENTS]

When utilizing U-turn, Roaring Moon leverages its unique defensive attributes, namely, its high Speed tier; access to reliable recovery; and helpful typing, to become an effective offensive pivot. Roost allows Roaring Moon to patch up damage taken from checking various attackers such as Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y. Earthquake is a necessity to threaten Heatran, Raging Bolt, and Mega Diancie, while also procuring more chip damage versus Melmetal. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Roaring Moon to continuously switch in and pivot despite any entry hazards on the field, while Protective Pads ignores contact punishment from the likes of Zapdos, Rocky Helmet Landorus-T, and Ferrothorn. The given EV spread allows Roaring Moon to outspeed Iron Valiant while avoiding the OHKO from Mega Charizard Y's Focus Blast.

Various team structures, ranging from bulky balance to offense, can make use of the pivoting that Roaring Moon provides. Wallbreakers such as Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y, the latter of which also provides sun for Roaring Moon's Protosynthesis, appreciate Roaring Moon inviting in Ground-types like Great Tusk and Steel-types like Ferrothorn, respectively. These wallbreakers also benefit from Roaring Moon's tendency to remove items with Knock Off, which—when paired with entry hazard setters such as Great Tusk and Heatran—can help remove the opposing team's Heavy-Duty Boots and ensure their checks get chipped. Defensive teammates like Gholdengo and Zapdos can switch into threats such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Zamazenta, and in turn, Roaring Moon can chase away Hisuian Samurott and Heatran.

Please use the sets given on the dex; the pivot set should have protective pads slashed. Also, at a glance, the teammates section of the second set is a little short

QC 1/2 on both.
As a feedback, please do not use casual terms like 'fatter' or 'tanky' for analyses.

[SET COMMENTS]

Roaring Moon serves as a devastating sweeper and progress-maker due to its outstanding offensive capabilities such as a unique typing, exceptional coverage, and its coveted access to Knock Off. Acrobatics when used with Booster Energy becomes incredibly strong, pairing with Knock Off to make for excellent synergy by hitting the otherwise resisted Fighting-types like Great Tusk and Zamazenta for super-effective damage (Rephrase this part since it kind of gives a meaning of how Knock Off hits Fighting-types for SE damage). As an alternative, Dragonium Z when paired with Outrage hits phenomenally hard when boosted, picking up the OHKO on Great Tusk and Multiscale Dragonite while dealing immense damage to Landorus-T and Alomomola. Earthquake hits the few resists or otherwise physically tough opponents such as Mega Diancie, Melmetal, and Toxapex. (Steel types?)

Hyper offensive structures love Roaring Moon’s ability to soft-check Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y and put off immediate offensive pressure. Thus, Roaring Moon excels at both making progress and cleaning late-game for various hyper offensive teammates. Specifically, Swords Dance Iron Valiant appreciates Roaring Moon chipping down shared checks such as Landorus-T and Alomomola, while Gholdengo likes Roaring Moon switching into Hisuian Samurott (sacred sword?) and Heatran, and in return, can switch into Fairy-types such as Clefable and opposing Iron Valiant. Volcarona is able to deal with tanky (too casual for an adjective for analyses) Steel-types like Melmetal and Ferrothorn, and in return Roaring Moon can threaten significant damage to its (who's checks? specify Ghold here I'd say) checks like Garchomp and Ting-Lu using Dragonium Z. (can also mention about other partners like M-Scizor and Volcarona. Also could mention about DD Moon's role on more Balance / BO oriented teams)

[SET COMMENTS]

When utilizing U-Turn and Heavy-Duty Boots (Talk about Pads here too and how they help effortlessly pivot out of switchins like Helmet Landorus-T and Ferrothorn and how you can freely click knock off without Helmet / Barbs chip), Roaring Moon leverages its unique defensive values to become an effective offensive pivot. Roost allows Roaring Moon to patch damage taken from checking various attackers such as Ogerpon-W or Mega Charizard Y. Earthquake is a necessity to threaten Raging Bolt and Mega Diancie, while also procuring more chip damage versus Melmetal and Toxapex. The given EV spread outspeeds Iron Valiant while avoiding the OHKO from Mega Charizard Y’s Focus Blast.

Various team structures ranging from fatter (again, too casual adjectives for analyses) balances to offense can make use of the pivoting that Roaring Moon provides. Breakers such as Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y appreciate Roaring Moon inviting in Ground-types like Great Tusk and Steel-types like Ferrothorn, with the latter also providing Sun for Roaring Moon’s Protosynthesis. Defensive teammates like Gholdengo and Zapdos can switch into threats such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Zamazenta, and in turn Roaring Moon can chase away Hisuian Samurott and Heatran. (This section is quite short, you would probably want to elaborate on other teammates as well. You can also talk about how Moon lures pokemon like Ferrothorn, Landorus-T and pivots out on them to bring in breakers like Iron Valiant and Ogerpon-W)

Roaring Moon serves as a devastating sweeper and progress-maker due to its outstanding offensive capabilities such as a unique typing, exceptional coverage, and its coveted access to Knock Off. I don’t think this really sells Moon’s capacity as a sweeper, I think I would mention its threatening coverage first and then its defensive typing letting it fit on many HO teams and granting it many setup opportunities. Booster Energy boosted Acrobatics makes for excellent synergy by hitting the Fighting-types like Great Tusk and Zamazenta for super-effective damage that would otherwise shrug off Knock Off. As an alternative, Dragonium Z when paired with Outrage hits phenomenally hard when boosted, picking up the OHKO on Great Tusk and Multiscale Dragonite while dealing immense damage to Landorus-T and Alomomola. Switch the previous two sentences, if Dragonium Z is slashed first why does the analysis mwhtion Booster first Earthquake nails Mega Diancie, Toxapex, and Steel-types like Melmetal and Kingambit.

Hyper offensive structures love Roaring Moon’s ability to soft-check Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y and put off immediate offensive pressure, while balances and bulky offenses also appreciate Roaring Moon as a dangerous wincon. You mention balance and bulky offense, but then mention almost exclusively HO picks. I would either delete that last part or actually mention bo/balance staples Thus, Roaring Moon excels at both making progress and cleaning late-game for various teammates. Specifically, Swords Dance Iron Valiant appreciates Roaring Moon chipping down shared checks such as Landorus-T and Alomomola, while Gholdengo likes Roaring Moon switching into Hisuian Samurott and Heatran, and in return, can switch into Fairy-types such as Clefable and opposing Iron Valiant. Kinda GP thing but this sentence runs a little long, maybe split into two sentences, ine about synergy with Ival and one about synergy with Gholdengo Volcarona is able to deal with bulky Steel-types like Melmetal and Ferrothorn, and in return Roaring Moon can threaten significant damage to Volcarona’s checks like Garchomp and Ting-Lu using Dragonium Z.

2/2 good job

ok im done with both, specified bulky gholdengo in the first analysis as i was referring to its defensive values being beneficial to rmoon. this also applies to volcarona but i didn't feel the need to clarify twice

hihi, amgp floating in
might be bad at my job so waiting for coach to arrive is highly recommended (!)

Roaring Moon serves as a devastating sweeper and progress-maker due to its outstanding offensive capabilities such as its coveted access to Knock Off paired with exceptional coverage with a unique typing that grants it various setup opportunities. Dragonium Z when paired with Outrage Devastating Drake i didn't think the "Dragonium Z" itself could be mentioned as boosted, but I'm unsure if a mention of drag z + outrage is still needed coach. a rewrite would probably be best here tho hits phenomenally hard when boosted, picking up the OHKO on Great Tusk and Multiscale Dragonite would maybe swap out dnite mention, but I'm pretty sure abilities aren't mentioned while dealing immense damage to Landorus-T and Alomomola. As an alternative, Booster Energy boosted Energy-boosted Acrobatics makes for excellent synergy with Knock Off by hitting the Fighting-types like Great Tusk and Zamazenta for super-effective super effective damage that would otherwise shrug off Knock Off. moved it to the front so the synergy idea isn't lost. btw coach should booster energy even be mentioned here at all, since you don't run acro without booster? Earthquake nails Mega Diancie, Toxapex, and Steel-types like Melmetal and Kingambit.

Hyper offensive offense structures love Roaring Moon’s ability to soft-check Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y and put off immediate offensive pressure, i think that's already covered by the soft-check part but am unsure while balances balance and bulky offenses offense also appreciate Roaring Moon as a dangerous wincon. Thus, Roaring Moon excels at both making progress and cleaning late-game for various teammates. Specifically, bulky Gholdengo likes Roaring Moon switching into Hisuian Samurott and Heatran, and in return, can repeatedly switch into Fairy-types such as Clefable that often can deny any progress. i'm pretty sure a lead-in is needed prior to the Iron Valiant/Volc mentions, but am unsure how to do that. "Teammates like Iron Valiant-" (?)

When utilizing U-Turn, Roaring Moon leverages its unique defensive values attributes such as a high Speed tier, (AC) with reliable recovery, (AC) and a distinctive typing to become an effective offensive pivot. switched out values for attributes, values makes me think of numbers. also reworded for clarity Roost allows Roaring Moon to patch up damage taken from checking various attackers such as Ogerpon-W or Mega Charizard Y. Heavy-Duty Boots allows allow Roaring Moon to continuously switch-in and pivot despite any entry hazards on the field, while Protective Pads ignores ignore contact punishment from the likes of Rocky Helmet Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, and Zapdos. items are singular, also I'm unsure if contact punishment is the right terminology or if there's something else for this? Roaring Moon serves as a devastating sweeper and progress (Remove hyphen) maker due to its outstanding offensive capabilities, (AC) namely, (AC) such as its coveted access to Knock Off paired with exceptional coverage with as well as a unique typing that grants it various setup opportunities. Dragonium Z when paired with Outrage Devastating Drake a mention of drag z + outrage [isn’t] needed hits phenomenally hard when boosted (to get these OHKOs, are boosts needed? if not, remove that. if so, how many? replace this with “after a Dragon Dance” or “after x Dragon Dances” where x is the number of boosts needed, like two / three / etc.), picking up the OHKO on Great Tusk and Multiscale Dragonite while dealing immense damage to Landorus-T and Alomomola. As an alternative, Booster Energy boosted Acrobatics makes for excellent synergy with Attack Booster Energy and complements Knock Off by hitting the Fighting-types like Great Tusk and Zamazenta for super-effective super effective damage that would otherwise shrug off Knock Off. (i reworked this to include the Booster Energy & Knock Off info while making sense) Earthquake nails Mega Diancie, Toxapex, and Steel-types like Melmetal and Kingambit.

Hyper Offensive, balance, and hyper offensive structures love Roaring Moon's (ASCII apostrophes are used over the curly ones) ability to be a dangerous wincon that can soft (Remove hyphen) check Ogerpon-W and as well as Mega Charizard Y and put off immediate offensive pressure on the opposing team (RC) while balances and bulky offenses also appreciate Roaring Moon as a dangerous wincon. (i grouped them all together because i’m unsure why this should be separated, since it’s causing confusion at the moment. contact me if i lost info, tho.) Thus Additionally (there’s no cause & effect, so there’s no need for “thus”.), Roaring Moon excels at both making progress and cleaning late-game for various teammates. Specifically (RC) Bulky Gholdengo likes Roaring Moon switching into Hisuian Samurott and Heatran, and in return, Gholdengo can repeatedly switch into Fairy-types that deny Roaring Moon from making any progress such as Clefable that often can deny any progress.
