Aiight guys so I've been messing around with lots of teams recently.. and I've finally found one that works well. Basically, I formed it around the power of Infernape as a late game sweeper and built it based on that. Here it is:
Lead:
Hyperion (Dragonite) @ Focus Sash
Mild
252 SpA, 252 Atk, 4 Spe
Draco Meteor
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Extremespeed
Dragonite is an amazing Anti-lead. With the use of extremespeed, He can 2HKO just about anything with focus sash (Im talking to you Azelf). EV's are to maximize Power and with focus sash/extremespeed, lack of speed means nothing. Have to thank my friend Ray for this one as he was the one who created this monster.
Problem Leads:
Tyranitar: Sandstorm renders my focus sash useless. I usually just EQ and let Dragonite die and then bring in Swampert to set up rocks
ANY GHOST LEAD: extremespeed doesnt effect ghosts... :(
Wall/Entry Hazard Set up:
Neochanna (Swampert) @ Leftovers
Relaxed
252 HP, 216 Def, 40 SpD
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Roar
Ice Beam
Swampert is and will always be one of my favorite walls to use. With his massive bulk he can shrug off any neutral attack. Also, he has been great to just roar out pokemon trying to sub or DDance up and not allow them to sweep. I chose him basically to provide type coverage to Infernape and Celebi and I needed someone to set up rocks due to my lack of a regular lead.
Wall-Stopper/Physical Sweeper:
Poseidon (Gyarados) @ Leftovers
Adamant
156 HP, 72 Atk, 96 Def, 184 Spd
Dragon Dance
Taunt
Waterfall
Stone Edge
I have come to appreciate the power of a Bulky Gyarados. With faster pokemon like Infernape and Jirachi on my team, I didnt really need the standard DDance set with full EV's on speed and attack. I have been able to sweep teams with him using the combination of Taunt/DDance when the given wall switches out. Also, he provides great type coverage to Infernape (can you see the trend).
Physical Wall:
Iris (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP, 220 Def, 36 Spd
Leaf Storm
Recover
Leech Seed
Earth Power
I have come to really appreciate the wall capabilities that Celebi has. He is able to take down the wall that gives Infernape the most trouble (Vaporeon) which is HUGE to allow Infernape to sweep. I used Earth Power over popular choice like HP Ice because Infernape and Swampert both have ice-type moves and this way i can take down a Heatran (carefully).
Choice Scarfer/Revenge Killer:
Delta (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Jolly
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 SpD
Iron Head
Thunderpunch
Fire Punch
Zen Headbutt
Alright so almost every non-stall team NEEDS a choice scarf/priority move user in order to effectively revenge kill weakened Pokemon. I choice Jirachi because of its Base 100 Speed and also because it worked well typing-wise. I chose Zen Headbutt over Ice Punch because again, i already have 2 ice-users on my team that can outspeed most dragons.
Late Game Sweeper/Mixed Attacker:
Darwin (Infernape) @ Life Orb
Naive
64 Atk, 252 SpA, 192 Spd
Close Combat
Fire Blast
Grass Knot
HP Ice
Like I said before, Infernape was the creation of this team. From it stemmed Swampert, Celebi, and Gyarados; all of whom counter Infernape's Weaknesses. Since he is able to outspeed almost everything at the end of a battle, he is an effective sweeper, especially with SR out. EV's are to provide more power for Close Combat, and the lack of speed usually doesn't hurt me.
Well, that's it. i would appreciate any suggesting/comments as I usually am not very good at criticizing my own work (who is?). Also, I find that you guys are able to find problem pokemon very easily. Thanks!
