Day 2

I created 2 days in to my competitive career after realizing how ineffective all my offensive orientated teams were. Its as stall team, although each poke is able to do a decent amount of damage, and it's main points are getting stealth rock and spikes set while spreading paralysis.

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Stealth Rock

Heatran is the only true offensive pokemon in my team and is usually used as my lead. The main purpose is to set stealth rock for the damage done by phasing later but its able to OHKO many common leads, although Smeargle gives him trouble. The fully invested speed and timid nature allow Heatran out run other Heatran leads and OHKO them with earth power, and the air ballon is used to stop this from happening to it. This also allows it to outspeed many common threats and surprise them with HP Grass.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 236 SDef / 20 Spd
Calm Nature
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- U-turn
- Thunder Wave

Celebi is the main status causer of the team and is able to come in and paralyze. It also uses u turn to scout, although when is is a good attacking option I have the abillity to go back and forth with it through Jirachi. With reliable healing and natural cure is is very self sufficient.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 236 SDef / 20 Spd
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Body Slam
- Wish
- U-turn

Jirachi functions much the same as Celebi, having the same stats and EV spread, but it does this in a more offensive way. With Serene Grace, Iron Head and Body Slam have a 60% chance to Flinch or paralyze respectively. Once paralyzed the high flinch rate and the possible immobility of the paralysis make it difficult to get off a hit. Wish is for support, providing Heatran and itself with a way to heal.

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Impish Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Waterfall
- Roar

RestTalk Gyarados is possibly the most useful poke on the team. Waterfall is the only attacking option but it works well with the set and roar switches out its counters racking up hazard damage, and allowing for a chance to rest because more often than not a team only has one Gyarados counter. This spread is very bulky and its not often 2 or even 3HKO'd. This gives it plenty of time to wake from rest and reliably attack or phaze

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Def / 32 SDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Taunt

Skarmory is the secondary hazard setter, main phazer, and the only solid physical wall. Once Spikes and Stealth Rock have been set Skarmory is helpful to start the main part of the phazing and rack up dammage. Without Skarmory this team is unable to beat dedicated walls, as generally Taunt takes away their ability to recover. This set is very effective but if taunted it is forced to switch since it has no attacking options. It's been a bit of a pain to not have any form of offence, as skarm is often my last poke and more often than not I don't use him.

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave

Chansey is the strongest special wall, and with evolite a good physical wall. She also acts as the cleric of the team, a necessity for this type of team. Unlike Blissey, Chansey has no way to damage outside of Seismic Toss but the added bulk makes up for it. Her biggest problem is that she is crippled by Knock Off and Trick, much more than Blissey who loses leftovers so I have been considering switching.

Although this team has trouble with more dedicated stall teams(especially those who use Slowbro if Celebi is gone) it is still generally able to come out on top. There is no rapid spinner or spinblocker but most teams forgo setting them up against this team. The main hazard that has been used was Toxic spikes but since every poke either has a steel typing or natural cure this is not a problem.

This is my first decent team and really want to see it do better so any advice or changes would be very appreciated.
