[SET COMMENTS]
Dragon Dance Kommo-o makes for an excellent sweeper, using its defensive capabilities to give itself opportunities to set up and smash through opposing teams. Thunder Punch 2HKOes Tornadus-T outright as well as 2HKOing Azumarill and Slowking after a boost. Dragon Claw can be used over Thunder Punch to improve the matchup against opposing Kommo-o, Hydrapple, and Latios while still hitting everything bar Azumarill for solid damage. Taunt allows Kommo-o to put a stop to defensive answers wanting to use status moves to hinder its ability to sweep, preventing recovery and status-inflicting moves from Toxapex, Zapdos, Rotom-W, and Skeledirge. Leftovers grants Kommo-o very useful longevity and, when paired with Drain Punch, allows it to keep itself consistently healthy to defensively answer Pokemon such as Excadrill, Lokix, and Ogerpon-C, though it must be wary of the latter's potential Play Rough. Soundproof blocks opposing Clangorous Soul Kommo-o's Clanging Scales and Boomburst and Skeledirge's Torch Song. Tera Electric is used to flip Kommo-o's matchups against the Flying-type Pokemon it fears such as Zapdos and Tornadus-T, letting it defensively check the two of them; Tera Electric also helps Thunder Punch to 2HKO Toxapex, Slowking, and offensive Zapdos after Dragon Dance.
Dragon Dance Kommo-o typically finds itself on bulky offense and hyper offense teams that love its defensive abilities and offensive potential. Partners that can break through the opposing team like Azumarill, Hisuian Arcanine, and Excadrill are great choices, making Kommo-o's job of sweeping much easier by removing Skeledirge, as well as loving its ability to take Ogerpon-C's, Lokix's, and Greninja's STAB options defensively. Other sweepers like Lokix and Greninja appreciate Kommo-o's wallbreaking capabilities, which help them take the opposing team apart by weakening it. Hyper offense staples such as Iron Crown and Ogerpon-C pair excellently with Kommo-o, working together as strong offensive partners that can easily break apart the opposing team so that it can sweep. Entry hazard setters such as Tinkaton and Sandy Shocks complement Kommo-o's sweeping and wallbreaking roles, bringing Pokemon like Hisuian Arcanine and Ogerpon-C into Drain Punch's OHKO range letting Kommo-o 2HKO opposing Tinkaton and Iron Crown after a Dragon Dance and Spikes damage. Pivots such as Zapdos, Tornadus-T, and Scizor are excellent teammates, giving Kommo-o setup opportunities against defensive Pokemon like Slowking, Rhyperior, and Cobalion while also handling some of Kommo-o's biggest checks like Hydrapple, Okidogi, and Metagross. Scizor also functions as an additional wallbreaker and sweeper that appreciates Kommo-o's ability to break through bulkier Pokemon like Toxapex and Zapdos for it, giving it free entry on them and helping take on Hydrapple.
