[SET COMMENTS]
Dragon Dance Roaring Moon is an extremely powerful late game cleaner, boasting a great offensive typing, wide ranging coverage, good mixed bulk with a defense donation, and both extreme attack power and speed thanks to Dragon Dance. Roaring Moon fits best on balance and bulky offense teams that can wear down its checks so that it can boost itself up and finish them off. Knock Off is a very strong STAB move that can 2HKO common defensive pokemon after a Dragon Dance such as Arceus HP Rotom Wash after Stealth Rock, Arceus HP Corviknight, and Defensive Zapdos, while also removing items such as Leftovers and Heavy-Duty Boots, making walls easier to wear down and remove later on. Acrobatics hits Fighting-types that resist Knock Off such as Great Tusk, Zamazenta, and both Urshifu forms, as well as benefiting from Booster Energy by doubling in power after it is consumed. Earthquake can OHKO Steel-types such as Excadrill, Heatran, and Iron Treads where Knock Off wouldn't, while also hitting Iron Hands super effectively, for it is otherwise neutral to Acrobatics. Alternatively, Roaring Moon can forgo this coverage in favour of Outrage, a devastatingly powerful STAB move that will OHKO or 2HKO the majority of neutral targets with a Dragon Dance; Outrage is risky however, as it allows Fairy-types to switch in for free. Finally, Dragon Dance gives Roaring Moon its ability to sweep teams late game, granting it its aforementioned attack power as well as the ability to out speed the entire unboosted metagame. Tera Flying boosts the power of Acrobatics, notably allowing Roaring Moon to OHKO 0 def Great Tusk before a Dragon Dance, and Dauntless Shield Zamazenta after a Dragon Dance. Alternatively, Tera Dark makes Knock Off nearly impossible to switch into. The Adamant Nature maximizes Roaring Moon's attack, however, it can instead run an EV spread of 36 HP / 220 Atk / 252 Spe with a Jolly nature to cause Protosynthesis to boost speed instead, sacrificing power so that Roaring Moon can act as a revenge killer.
Roaring Moon can receive defense from gods such as Arceus, Necrozma-DM, and Groudon so it can use its great mixed bulk to reliably set up Dragon Dance. However, Roaring Moon's offensive stats are already great naturally, so it can function fine in any slot, allowing something else to use the defense donation. Roaring Moon is vulnerable to priority users such as Lokix and Comfey, so it appreciates Pokemon that can switch into them such as Heatran, Moltres, or Skarmory. Roaring Moon also struggles to beat Unaware users such as Clodsire, Clefable, and Dondozo, so it appreciates the presence of strong special attackers like Choice Specs Hydrapple, Electrode-Hisui, and Choice Specs Volcanion, who can KO them or put them in range to be KOed by Roaring Moon. Roaring Moon has an easier time scoring KOs with entry hazard support, so it appreciates Stealth Rock setters like Landorus-T, Great Tusk, and Skarmory. Finally, pivots such as Slowking-Galar, Rotom-Wash, and Landorus-T can get Roaring Moon on the field safely so it can set up.
