ORAS OU Death by geology!

Just because I can this introduction will be very brief:
Hi, this is my team.

First off I wanted to use a Scizor because it is a great option for offensive teams because it is able to stop Weavile, wall & wallbreak stall with swords dance and roost and allows pivoting. I feel like if I wanted an offensive team I would benefit from something that could provide me with momentum, priority, and a way to wallbreak pokemon I couldn't naturally kill.

Scizor @ Scizorite Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
Now since I would need to get rid of Heatran, or Charizard-Mega-X but also would like to gain the benefit or Scizor's typing I felt as if Garchomp would answer these threats and make use of Scizor's ability to defeat pokemon like Weavile, or Mega-Altaria. I decided that it could also set up hazards along with handling these threats. I gave it an offensive hazards set except I decided that the focus sash in combination with dragon tail could allow it to switch in on a pokemon's faint and force out opposing sweepers and ahem stealth rock.

Garchomp @ Focus Sash
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast

Zapdos and Mega-Manectric threatened me with ice and fire coverage, and because of my lack of rock I still could not handle pokemon like Talonflame. On the flip side I wanted a special attack as well as a defogger, and it seemed to me that Latias could do the trick both ways. An offensive support set fit my team well.

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish

Tornadus-Therian really seemed threatening, but I didnt want to open myself up to an ice weakness throughout the team. After a while I came to a conclusion that it would most easily fall to something it wouldn't expect, a choiced scarf Terrakion, which has gotten much less popular. I gave it all it needs #NeededARevengeKillerToo.

Terrorkion (Terrakion) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Slide
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
I needed to wall break Skarmory, and I didn't mind having a sweeper weak to rock, nor an ice resistance. Volcarona seemed kind of good here. Although I would still need to answer Azumarill. Magnezone was another good option, Rotom-W also seemed appealing. I decided that the answer I was adapting to was Magnezone because it simply did the most of it along with another way to gain momentum plus it had a choice specs set for wall breaking something my team lacked.

Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature

- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

I needed one more pokemon and it could only be one thing... a stallbreaker because we all know how annoying stall is... so I thought heatran wasn't quite necessary it didnt put much new on the table. Mew did, it gave me a way to provide major issues to physical attackers, cream stall and wreck choice and eviolite users with knock off.

Now any way i can get a cleric?

Seems like a solid team! However, offensive teams don't usually need a cleric. Your team seems to struggle with Mega Sableye, Particularly the CM Variant is really threatening to this team, as there isn't really anything you can do to it. I'd recommend dropping mew for Stallbreaker togekiss. It's a solid stallbreaker that can break Mega Sableye as well as be a cleric for your team, if you really wanted it. I think It would do your team some good, since you have it's weaknesses covered by your team.

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 4 SpD / 176 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave/Heal Bell/Fire Blast
- Roost

This stallbreaks in a slightly different way, but it should get the job done. Hope I helped, and good luck in future battles!

hi

so this is a pretty well built team, but you have a big weakness to well supported Mega Lopunny and Talonflame by what I see and Serperior seems really problematic. Your team also has a large amount of redundancy in your team choices. So first to help your your Mega Lopunny weakness I suggest you run Bulky Garchomp > Sash Garchomp. Bulky Garchomp gives you a valuable way to circumvent what Mega Lopunny and other physical attackers do through chip damage, while also giving you another bulky mon to fall back upon. My second suggestion is to run Stallbreaker Heatran > Magnezone. Magnezone isn't neccesarliy needed as with Terrakion and Heatran you don't really need a trapper and Heatran gives you a way to beat Serperior lacking HP Ground and if they do run it Scizor can beat them. Finally as for Mew < Thundurus would be a decent change as you really struggled with water-types despite having Magnezone who is just too slow to really have an impact on what they can do and provides a secondary method of speed control as well as a wincon so you don't rely too much upon Terrakion and Scizor.
Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet

Thundurus @ Life Orb

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Nasty Plot
- Thunder Wave
hope I helped!
I feel like most of this would be helpful but sash garchomp seems a bit more helpful when it comes to a boosted Zard-X. Plus Terrakion can RK Mega-Lopunny. Thanks.

I really like Thatwackycruton's suggestion of stallbreaker Togekiss over Mew, I think that is easily one of the best options. However, another possible change here would be spdef Talonflame. This lets you take on Serperior and Mega Sableye, which your team has a huge weakness to. Furthermore, you can taunt SD Gliscor and beat it with Bulk Up for a secondary check to it. It also works as an effective stallbreaker with Taunt + BU.

Sash Garchomp as a check to boosted zard-x is not really very effective, as with SR you can't maintain it, I agree with the change to bulky garchomp. You also have a terrakion to RK zard-x, so that is not that large of an issue. If you can maintain sash with Garchomp, you can prob maintain Terrakion staying alive more easily, tbh.

Also Talonflame provides you with priority so you can RK low HP charizard if you are desperate, rather than giving it an extra opportunity to set up with Mew.

So I noticed you are a bit weak to serperior, sableye, and a bit weak to zard x

Stall breaker tran
Scarf Terrakion is an interesting revenge killer but cant do much to lando-t and once it is locked into a move it is easy to switch into. You said you wanted something that can handle torn and be an ice resist Heatran does the job well, as well as allowing you a chance to break sableye, Stall breaker heatran will help the team by being able to help break stall and more importantly solar beam manaphy rotom quagsire gastrodon and keldeo to assist the scizor in getting an easier sweep

I noticed that your team does not pack a water resist besides latias and stall breaker mew seemed like one of the weak links on an offensive team like yours. Mew is a cool mon but can not break stall if it has mega sableye and struggles to be able to help vs diancie. Instead im suggesting another creative option that is able to damage stall and can also beat offensive teams. Scarf rotom-wash can trick chansey which will help with your match vs stall as heatran can eventually wear down a chansey that is choice locked, once chansey is choiced scizor gets a free switch in on it every time and get get u turns off. Rotom-w does great vs torn and will help you by surprising the opponent. 2 choiced mons is not the best for most teams but mag and rotom can just volt switch out and rotom can trick away its scarf. Anyways gl with your team.
