Currently, 'unrecognized' Pokemon have a ?-mini-icon but have a glitchy looking failed image Sprite in-battle.
It'd be nice if PS! had a failsafe sprite for these Pokemon, especially for Pet Mods which often introduce new Pokemon. Additionally, there's even precedence for this in the games: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ten_question_marks !
