This team has been rated by Marriland, now on to smogon! I have always loved the way pokemon battles work. I imagine it as a game of chess, where each person chooses his or her move. It requires good prediction and skill. I’m good with chess. So it’s only natural that I’m good in pokemon too XD. But why care for this speech? Let’s begin with the show!

Moltres
Moltres @ Choice Scarf
Abilty: Pressure
Nature: Modest
EV’s: 40 Def/ 252 SpA/ 216 Spe
Moveset:
~ Overheat
~ Hidden Power Ice
~ Air Slash
~ U-turn
Moltres has been in my heart forever. And she still will be. She packs such an unknown power. Not many people know about moltres’ moveset, and will be shocked when they’re OHKOed by her fearsome Overheat. She is my lead pokemon. She’s been a pretty good lead, since she can take out most of the starters, some main ones include Bronzong, Forretress, and Gengar. They can be taken out by a simple attack from moltres, or I can just U-turn My way out of here. It’s a simple lead, but can take out many of those who aren’t aware. I chose moltres first in my team, then Built a team that supported it.

Gyarados
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Abilty: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
EV’s: 216 Hp/ 16 Atk/ 176 Def/ 100 Spe
Moveset:
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Substitute
Ahh…. Gyarados. Many newcomers get 6-0ed by this guy. I send him in on something like milotic, who will either stay in and try to hypnosis, or switch out. If Milotic stays in, I get a free sub ^_^. If she switches out, it doesn’t matter. I would’ve already set up a sub to shield myself with, for the next victim. The reason I have Gyarados than any other bulky water is for his type resistances. He has a nice resistance to many things with his water/ flying type. I have substitute than Taunt, Because I don’t mind roar. Most of my team are resisted to spikes, toxic spikes, and stealth rock. But I’ll be sure to take out skarmories before hand (which should be easy with some fire moves in my team). Gyarados is impossible to love! Even Gyara haters will soon love it! (Just like Misty in the anime series!)
Stonewall
A.K.A
Bronzong
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Abilty: Levitate
Nature: Relaxed
EV’s: 252 Atk/ 152 Atk/ 6 Def/ 100 SpDef
Moveset:
- Hypnosis
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
Bronzong is literally a stone wall. But it’s steel, even tougher! I can’t believe how many resistances this guy has! To help with that, it has only one weakness! Even most fire moves can’t OHKO this. This guy is mainly a supporter, as it helps with the outraging garchomp, which I can just set up Stealth Rocks and Hypnosis the beast. Since many moves that really attack bronzing are fire type moves, I can just switch to heatran and wola! A fire boost! (It’s even better if the pokemon is scarfed.) Bronzong was a big assess to my team. It has been a major part of all my battles.
Heatwave
A.K.A
Heatran
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Modest
EV’s: 252 Hp/ 96 Def/ 100 SpA/ 60 SpDef
Moveset:
- Earthpower
- Lava Plume
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
I didn’t want to go with the rest + Lseep talk thing, since I already have Machamp. (I can change it if you convince me to.) This guy is my phazer. It’s a pretty helpful guy, with lots of resistances. Lava plume will help with the burning, which will really damage income attackers that come in on heatran (the most popular one is garchomp). It’s like the choice scarf version, But as a tank. He deals with ninjask and scizor nicely, who can be a big problem if I predict wrong.
PureSoul
A.K.A
Metagross
Metagross @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Naughty
EV’s: 252 Hp/ 188 Spe/ 70 SpAMoveset:
- Bullet Punch
- Grass Knot
- Brick Break
- HP Fire
Metagross was a nice pick for this team. It has loads of resistances, with above average defences. This set will be a surprise to many people out there. I felt like Metagross was dieing to soon to use explosion. This set will provide much more type coverages. I added Pursuit in there to get rid of celebi, who could wall this team easily. I got rid of earthquake because I was sure that it was not needed. I would be only using it for heatran, Who I’m sure gets OHKOed by brick break anyways. I have 16 Spe EVs to outspeed skarmory, wi\hich is always a pain for this guy. But skarmory is not that hard to beat with this team…
MachoMan
A.K.A
Machamp
Machamp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: No Guard
Nature: Jolly
EV’s: 252 Spe/ 252 Atk
Moveset:
- Ice Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Dynamic Punch
- Pay Back
Machamp will confusy you! I’ve always hated machamps against me. So I’m returning the favor. Nothing can really counter against machmp, execp for slowbro (which is unpopular these days). That’s what I like about it. It basically has no counters. If I just come in on Ttar, it will send him flying. And I would probably confuse the next victim that switchs in. This guy is my status inducer. He serves the purpose as a bulky sweeper. I would have to say that machamp is my favorite fighting pokemon, it’s strong and
“confusing” to the opponent XD
Problems
Starmie
Slowbro
Considering
-Making Bronzong my lead with Lum Berry.
- Moltres in for A starmie killer, preferably a Celebi. Who can also take out dragons with hidden power ice.
