ORAS Ubers Defensive ditt0 & ill Zoroark

Hey, today I'm going to be showcasing the SECOND Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire team I built after they banned Mega-Rayquaza. Of all the new released mega evolutions Mega Salamence has always been the most interesting to me due to its amazing stats and the factor that ditto has always been one of my favorite pokemon of all time, that made me wanna try it in Ubers even more. There's not many achievements I got with this team, I just used it on the ladder for a while and gave it to a few people (who were successful using it). There's another factor that forces me to make this RMT, I've seen a lot of people who I don't even know on the ladder with it or very, very, similar builds. My huge ego leads me to believe that many people are getting the idea of Ghostceus / Salamence sun from this team which doesn't bother me at all, I just want people to know where the idea was originated. Now I have talked enough and now lets proceed to the teambuilding process.

Now let's get into the in-depth analysis for each pokemon.

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
Thunder Wave
Earthquake
Lava Plume

Groudon got buffed a lot in ORAS, now that it has that Fire typing that it needed to be a much better offensive pokemon, it has an ability that allows it to be immune to Water-moves, which makes his only weakness, Ground.Support Primal Groudon's main niche is that it can now check Geomancy Xerneas, resisting Fairy is huge as it forces Xerneas to run Focus Blast or Hidden Power Ground to land some big damage on it. As for the moves, Stealth Rock is pretty much needed since it keeps pokemon like Ho-Oh and Mega Salamence in check, which is important. Lava Plume is a great support move that hits common switch-ins like Landorus (which is being suspected), Gliscor and Lati twins, it has a good chance of landing a burn on them which is very appreciated. Thunder Wave helps me phaze pokemon like Geomancy Xerneas and incoming Primal Kyogre to just paralyzing it and bringing on a pokemon which could wall it or if it has less hp then it would obv. rekt by groudon-primal. Earthquake is a very strong Ground STAB move that should not be underestimated as Groudon has a base attack stat of 180.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spe
Bold Nature
Roost
Whirlwind
Toxic
Spikes

Skarmory has always been a mixed bag in Ubers. It boasts the same Defense stat as Groudon and a unique and dangerous Steel / Flying defensive typing that gives it ten resistances and two immunities. Skarmory also has access to multiple entry hazards; however, unlike many other Steel-types, it boasts reliable recovery and the ability to shut down other hazard setters and Defoggers on the switch-in with Taunt. Sturdy is another situational benefit to using Skarmory; the ability enables it to stay in versus something that could otherwise OHKO it at full health, such as Mega Blaziken or Geomancy Xerneas, and proceed to phaze it out or attack it. Skarmory even has decent versatility, being able to viably run both a specially defensive set to mess up support Arceus as well as a physically defensive set that walls a decent number of prominent Ubers even more effectively. However, Skarmory's unique defensive typing can also prove to be its downfall. While it may shut down some notable things such as Extreme Killer Arceus, it is massively threatened by other physical attackers such as Ho-Oh and Zekrom. Additionally, 65 HP / 70 Special Defense is simply too weak to sponge hits from the plethora of special attackers in Ubers; it goes without saying that a specially defensive spread alone will not let Skarmory check things like Kyogre, Arceus-Electric, and Palkia.Rocky Helmet is also a good item to help with Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Mewtwo X, and Extreme Killer Arceus, as well as get chip damage on the random physical attackers that Skarmory loves to switch in on.Conclusion-helps in hazards.

Zoroark @ Focus Sash
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
Sucker Punch
Knock Off
Low Kick
Swords Dance

Zoroark has a decent signature ability in Illusion, which allows it to play mind games with opponents, though Zoroark's frailty limits its usability. Zoroark also has great mixed offenses and a decent movepool with moves such as Swords Dance and Nasty Plot. Furthermore, Zoroark has a good Speed tier which allows it to outspeed and beat Pokemon such as Chandelure. However, Zoroark is quite frail, meaning it can easily be revenge killed, and it is also more or less walled and beaten by common Fighting- and Fairy-types. Furthermore, Zoroark faces competition from Hydreigon and Mega Houndoom as a mixed attacker, as they have better movepools and superior offenses, though Zoroark has higher Speed and access to Illusion. If you noticed that I have Low Kick and you are confused that why do i have so guys, don't worry it is there to tackle problems like Ferrothorn. Conclusion- You 'CAN'T' say Zoroark as bad!

Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Modest Nature
Geomancy
Moonblast
Aromatheraphy
Thunder

If you read the teambuilding process part you'll know that I picked Xerneas so I can sponge Dark and Dragon-type moves with relative ease. The reason that why I chose Geomancy Xerneas is simple to kill pokemons which high HP(100%) and that mon cannot be killed by xerneas which is not upgraded with geomancy and there is no point to have xerneas will full speed so I made it defensive so that it will tackle pokemons bravely. For those reasons and some more I figured I should use the defensive, that would not only allow me to check Dark-types pretty well but it also helps me check Mega Salamence in a much easier way and another thing I really like about upgrading xerneas is that it allows me to not be a coward against status with Mega Salamence, I can take out Klefki with thunder after it paralyses me then moonblast if it has low HP and then Aromatherapy with Xerneas. The moveset is pretty too good, Moonblast is a strong STAB move that OHKOs stuff like Yveltal and Darkrai and a good thing it has fairy aura which increases moonblast's power!. Aromatherapy helps me heal my pokemon when status'd. Rest is Xerneas' only reliable form of recovery.

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
Leech Seed
Substitute
Encore
Stun Spore

Leech Seed is Whimsicott's only form of damage output. Getting priority from Prankster, it can rack up a lot of residual damage while keeping Whimsicott healthy. Prankster Substitute helps rack up Leech Seed damage; the cost of making the Substitute is compensated by the recovery from Leech Seed and Leftovers. Encore is a very useful tool when augmented by Prankster, letting Whimsicott lock opponents into non-attacking moves that can be capitalized on by switching into relevant teammates. Stun Spore has shaky accuracy, but this is mitigated somewhat as Whimsicott will often find opportunities to use the move from behind the safety of a Substitute. Alternatively, Taunt shuts down many defensive Pokemon such as Blissey, Giratina, and Lugia, although one must watch out for Aeroblast from the latter. A couple of other options are worth mentioning for use in the last moveslot. Memento is a viable choice on offensive teams, allowing Whimsicott to weaken the opponent to ease setup for a teammate, albeit at its own demise. Knock Off is also worth a mention as removing an opponent's item is always useful; it also has a chance to 3HKO Mega Gengar. You guys are too smart that I don't have to give conclusion and its understandable about whimsicott.

Ditto @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
Transform

THE HERO OF THE STORY ALWAYS COMES IN THE END! and this is the hero of my team. While I was making my team i had thought to make a team around ditto and ditto is too strong but it has less HP and def. as well so I gave sitrus berry and made it too defensive but when I got to ladder with this idea it was of no use and I feel to hit myself and afterwards I gave him choice scarf and nobody could beat my team.I had a good progress only because of ditto so no more talks now and now I'll tell about its moveset. What should I tell you about its move because it has only 1 move Transform and as the name says it will copy stat changes so a TIP from me just wait for your opponent to maximize the opposing pokemon's stats like calm mind and swords dance and then bring on your ditto to kill it and to take tour revenge :P.

Threats: There is no threat until and unless you have ditto. So your main motto should be to safe your ditto till end.Don't lose your focus while playing.

Objectively, I believe this team is as optimized as stall can be in ORAS Ubers. No need to thank me, I am sharing this team out of the goodness of my heart!

Hello parivard !

Unfortunately, this RMT is currently not following the rules which can be found in the RMT Resource Thread; specifically, this thread violates rule #4, because you lack sufficient descriptions for each Pokemon on your team. As such, I am afraid that I will have to lock this thread for the time being. If you would like this thread to be reopened, feel free to PM me with your updated RMT, and I would be happy to reopen this thread for you. If you need help making an RMT up to the required standards, I recommend that you carefully read the RMT Resource Thread and check out other RMTs from the Team Showcase and RMT Archive for some examples.

Good luck with your team, and have a nice day!

EDIT: Reopened!
