* This Ogerpon-W takes a more defensive route thanks to its decent bulk and access to Counter in order to flip otherwise losing matchups, such as against non-Triple Axel Meowscarada.
* Power Whip hits Water-type Pokemon such as Primarina super effectively and is Ogerpon-W's best option against neutral matchups like Sylveon.
* Ivy Cudgel threatens Fire- and Ground-type Pokemon such as Skeledirge and Landorus-T.
* Counter is the main focal point of this set, allowing defensive Ogerpon-W to retaliate against physical foes that would threaten to KO or feel that a physical attack is their best move against offensive Ogerpon-W sets, such as non-Triple Axel Choice Band Meowscarada and opposing Ogerpon-W. Alternatively, Knock Off may be used to remove Custap Berry from Pokemon such as Skeledirge.
* U-turn is Ogerpon-W's best option against non-defensive Hoopa-U, which gets OHKOd by U-turn. Custap Berry Sylveon. (you 2hko and sylv 2hkos back, it's a 50/50 regardless, imo remove this mention or find a better example.)

* U-turn is Ogerpon-W's best option against Hoopa-U, who is OHKOd (0 Atk Wellspring Mask Ogerpon-Wellspring U-turn vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def Hoopa-Unbound: 280-332 (77.5 - 91.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO, not always, maybe say something like "...most Hoopa-U," but eh.)

Defensive Ogerpon-W won't have the firepower to threaten Pokemon like Fast Choice Specs Porygon-Z or Ursaluna (since bulky band hoopa isn't ko'd by u-turn in the defensive sets, might as well add it alongside fast specs pz and ursa.)
