Hex can be used on sets packing Will-O-Wisp to deal massive damage to burned opponents, including OHKO'ing Slowking at +1 after burn chip, while Shadow Ball is a more reliable option to allow Skeledirge consistent damage early game. Will-O-Wisp allows Skeledirge to slow down physical attackers such as Lokix and Donphan, while Earth Power can hit Heatran for large damage while also forcing Fezandipiti to expend a Roost, allowing Skeledirge to safely get in teammates. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Skeledirge to ignore its otherwise ruinious Stealth Rock weakness. The ev spread allows Skeledirge to take on a wide variety of both physical and special attackers, for example it has good odds to live 2 Gastrodon Earth Powers and has a chance to live 2 Revavroom High Horsepower. Tera Fairy allows Heatran to take on Dark-types such as Lokix and Zarude, while also giving it an immunity to Latios's and Hydrapple's Draco Meteor. Tera Poison gives Skeledirge an immunity to Toxic from both Fezandipiti and Toxapex, while also letting it check Ogerpon-C and Greninja and helping check Dark-types such as Lokix and Hydreigon. However, Tera Fairy makes Skeledirge unable to check Revavroom while Tera Poison leaves it unable to check Latios. Both Tera types also mean Skeledirge can no longer block Rapid Spin from Excadrill and Donphan in a pinch.

Skeledirge primarily fits best on a variety of playstyles ranging from bulky offense to stall teams, who appreciate Skeledirge's ability to soft check a wide array of Pokemon such as Thundurus-T, Latios, and Revavroom. Knock Off absorbers such as Skarmory and Fezandipiti are great for Skeledirge, as they can take on Pokemon such as Zarude and Lokix that Skeledirge may not be comfortable switching into for fear of losing its Heavy-Duty Boots. Water-type switch ins such as Slowking, Hydrapple, and Rotom-W are perfect partners for Skeledirge, as they can take on the opposing Water-types such as Greninja and Keldeo that Skeledirge might struggle with, while in return, Skeledirge can take on Pokemon such as Thundurus-T that said Water-type switch ins might struggle against. Flying-types such as Skarmory and Tornadus-T are great for Skeledirge, as they can take on Ground-types such as Excadrill that Skeledirge may not be comfortable switching into, while in return Skeledirge can check Pokemon such as Thundurus-T said Flying-types can struggle against.

Hex can be used on sets packing Will-O-Wisp to deal massive damage to burned opponents, including OHKO'ing Slowking at +1 after burn chip, while Shadow Ball is a more reliable option to allow Skeledirge consistent damage early game. Would be nice to mention its (hex) also just a much more powerful move to put a lot of pressure on Pokemon like Rotom-W/Torn-T trying to pivot around it once you have the burn off Will-O-Wisp allows Skeledirge to slow down physical attackers such as Lokix and Donphan, while Earth Power can hit Heatran, Fezandipiti, and Tyranitar for super effective damage not that fussed about the latter 2, especially as you'd much rather not stay in on fez and ttar takes very little, would rather word this as allowing it to check and hit defensive Heatran and can briefly mention that it better forces roosts from fez to pivot around it ig?. Tera Poison gives Skeledirge an immunity to Toxic from both Fezandipiti and Toxapex, while also letting it check Ogerpon-C and Greninja. Mention the downsides of each tera briefly and why it has to be careful of doing it in games when its used to defensively check things: tera poison makes it unable to check Latios at al for instance. (Noteable that Tera Poison also helps with the Darks u mentioned?)

Skeledirge primarily fits best on balance and stall teams, tbh fits fine on some BOs too, can just say a wide variety of teams who appreciate Skeledirge's ability to soft check a wide array of Pokemon such as Thundurus-T, Latios, and Revavroom. Absolutely mention that Slowking/Rotom-W can also help you spread status around to make Hex more powerful. Would like a mentio nof something that gets Skeledirge in for opportunities to pressure Pokemon like Skarm, Torn, Slowking etc, could mention pivots like Scarf Zarude and Torn and link these into your previous writing perhaps.
