Hex can be used on sets packing Will-O-Wisp to deal massive damage to burned opponents, including OHKO'ing Slowking at +1 after burn chip, while Shadow Ball is a more reliable option to allow Skeledirge consistent damage early game. Will-O-Wisp allows Skeledirge to slow down physical attackers such as Lokix and Donphan, while Earth Power can hit Heatran, Fezandipiti, and Tyranitar for super effective damage. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Skeledirge to ignore its otherwise ruinious Stealth Rock weakness.
Tera Fairy allows Heatran to take on Dark-types such as Lokix and Zarude, while also giving it an immunity to Latios's and Hydrapple's Draco Meteor. Tera Poison gives Skeledirge an immunity to Toxic immunity from both Fezandipiti and Toxapex, while also letting it check Ogerpon-C and Greninja.
