[Overview]

Delibird is not a very good Pokemon, I think everyone knows that, but it does have some good moves surprisingly, and with those moves, a good held item, a bit of prediction, (and sometimes luck), Delibird can be somewhat good, although it's a very specific type of good. It's not good as in "an amazing sweeper" or a "one hit killing machine" no no no, i'm talking good as in "Taking out a certain Pokemon thats annoying to deal with, a Pokemon thats a very big threat to your team, or just a Pokemon thats completely broken and should be banned and never used. But with a cost." When you're going against a Pokemon that is very hard to deal with, Delibird will try their best to try and make you feel better by taking out that Pokemon for you.. or die in the process, but it's the thought that counts.

[Set]
Name:
Move 1: Ice Beam / Blizzard
Move 2: Endure
Move 3: Memento
Move 4: Destiny Bond
Item: Custap Berry
Ability: Vital Spirit / Insomnia
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpA

[Moves]

Ice Beam or Blizzard is for when you're going up against a Pokemon that you know isn't going to immediately kill Delibird, or when the Pokemon you're going against a Pokemon that is Burned, (specifically a Physical Attacker that is burned) Paralyzed, Asleep or Frozen. It's safer if you go against a stronger Pokemon with Delibird if they're specifically Frozen or Asleep, but it's still risky, so you need to be certain that you won't faint to the Pokemon you're going against if you're planning on doing direct damage with Deibird. The rest of the moves of this set is what makes this set fun. Endure is used to guarantee that Delibird won't faint to whatever it's going against, and it's a good substitution for a Focus Sash. It's actually better than Focus Sash, because if you land on an entry hazard, get hit with a weak move that wouldn't KO Delibird, etc, Focus Sash would be gone, and Delibird would just be a waste of a spot in your team, and Focus Band isn't wasted when you get slightly damaged, but do you really want to risk that? Of course not, so Endure is the best thing to use for this strat. Now, Memento would seem like a useless move for this set because you have Destiny Bond, so why lower the opposing Pokemon's attacking stats instead of killing said Pokemon? Well, say you're going against a Pokemon that doesn't have any set up moves, obviously the person you're going against will want to switch said Pokemon, so on the turn he uses to switch Pokemon, you can set up with Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Trick Room, etc. And Destiny Bond is obviously for killing a certain Pokemon that can threaten your team, or if the Pokemon is just annoying.

[Set Details]

You can probably already tell what this set is about, but if you don't: The point of this set is to take out or weaken a Pokemon that is a threat to your team, say for example: Any Legendaries or Broken Pokemon. So if you're going against, say.. Heatran, you can use Endure, so when they use... basically any move, you'll live on 1 HP, and then since you're below 25% HP, your Custap Berry will activate, and you can use Destiny bond. And if you're going against a Pokemon that you can keep alive (because you have another Pokemon that can deal with it) and you haven't set up Stealth Rocks or Sticky Web, or you want a free turn to Swords Dance, Nasty Blot, etc, you can use Memento
Max HP and 200 in Defenses is to make sure that if you're going against a weak Physical Attacking Pokemon, so you won't have to immediately use Endure and Destiny bond and you can put that 56 points in Special Attack to good use

[Checks and Counters]

Priority Moves: Priority Moves completely ruin this set. Moves with higher priority beat out a regular priority move after Custap Berry, since Custap Berry only raises a moves priority by 1

Multi-Hit Moves: Multi-Hit Moves don't care about Endure. Most of the time Delibird will faint to Multi-hit Moves, especially if the move is Rock Blast. Rock Blast will destroy you.

Hey! I'm really glad to see your enthusiasm for analyses, but unfortunately, there are a few issues: those being that you need to make a reservation before making a thread and that we only accept reservations of Pokemon that are listed in the "unreserved" section. This being said, sadly, holiday cheer isn't enough to save Delibird and pull it out of unviability, meaning it will likely never get an analysis the tier anyway (or at least not a serious one).

I'll be locking and moving this; if you have any further questions, please message either me or Ruft.
