OMPL Champion
[OVERVIEW]
* Deoxys-A has excellent 180/180 offensive stats, allowing it to deal heavy damage in both spectrums.
* Its high 150 Speed allows it to outspeed crucial Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Gengar, and Mega Beedrill.
* Its low Defense stats allow it to threaten Imposter more effectively than Mega Mewtwo Y.
* Due to its minuscule bulk it is KOed by almost every move, forcing it to rely on safe switch-ins or a Focus Sash.
* Its Psychic STAB doesn't hit a lot of targets, so Deoxys-A heavily relies on coverage moves to break past bulky Pokemon such as Giratina, Primal Kyogre, and Zygarde-C.
* Deoxys-A faces competition from Mega Mewtwo Y, who has higher Special Attack, and Mega Mewtwo X, who has higher Attack and a secondary Fighting typing, as they have much higher bulk to be played more aggressively or a secondary STAB to help break past resists.

Moves
========

* Shell Smash is the preferred setup move as it boosts both offenses by two stages, and also powers up Power Trip significantly.
* Photon Geyser is the STAB move of choice, can go both Special or Physical depending on the nature, and ignores abilities like Sturdy from Shedinja, Unaware, and Fur Coat.
* Power Trip is very strong after a Shell Smash, and provides coverage against Psychic-types such as Cresselia and Necrozma-DM. It also is the strongest move against Pokemon such as Giratina and Aegislash.
* Moongeist Beam is an alternative for hitting Psychic-types, and has the advantage of not requiring boosts to deal significant damage.
* Close Combat hits Dark-types and Steel-types such as Mega Tyranitar and Registeel that resist Photon Geyser.
* Stored Power and Psystrike are options over Photon Geyser for dealing more damage and hitting specially defensive Pokemon hard, respectively. However, Stored Power lacks initial power, while Psystrike doesn't ignore abilities. Both should be run with Moongeist Beam to hit Sturdy Shedinja.

Set Details
========

* 0 EVs and IVs in Defense and Special Defense makes Imposter users much less bulky, allowing Deoxys-A to OHKO them easily after setup or deal large amounts on the switch, even OHKOing with unboosted Moongeist Beam. The loss of Deoxys-A's own bulk is not significant, as its bulk isn't great to live hits anyways.
* Mild nature boosts Deoxys-A's Special Attack and sets Photon Geyser as a Special move, allowing it to OHKO physically bulky targets such as Primal Groudon after a Shell Smash.
* Alternatively, a Lonely nature sets Photon Geyser as a Physical move, and boosts the damage output of Power Trip and Close Combat, which helps net KOs on Pokemon like Primal Kyogre and Mega Slowbro.

Usage Tips
========

* Deoxys-A is ideally used as a cleaner after the opposing Pokemon are weakened and their setup checks removed.
* Prankster Pokemon such as Giratina and Zygarde-C can shut down this set, so remove them before attempting a sweep.

Moves
========

* Bolt Strike is barely weaker than Psychic, and hits physically frail Pokemon such as Primal Kyogre and Mega Mewtwo Y. It also serves as the strongest move against Pokemon that are neutral to all the moves.
* Earth Power hits Steel-types such as Registeel and Dialga. Unlike Blue Flare, it cannot be blocked by Flash Fire. It also OHKOs Mega Gengar and Primal Groudon after a little bit of chip.
* Focus Blast is a much stronger alternative that also hits Fur Coat Chansey, but it has shaky accuracy.
* Ice Beam hits Dragon-types such as Giratina, Zygarde-C, and Mega Rayquaza.
* Moonblast is an alternate option that trades the OHKO on Zygarde-C and Mega Rayquaza for hitting Mega Mewtwo X hard, allowing Deoxys-A to revenge kill it after a bit of prior damage.
* Sludge Wave hits Fairy-types like Mega Audino and Xerneas.
* Shadow Ball hits Psychic-types such as Cresselia and also hits Mega Mewtwo X. It should be used alongside Focus Blast.
* Bug Buzz serves as a strong option to 2HKO Cresselia, but doesn't do much else.

Wouldn’t it make sense to use Ice Beam over Moongeist Beam on the Dazzling Smash Set?

Photon Geyser already handles Shedinja, Gengar-Mega, and Ice Beam would handle Giratina. Moongeist only hurts opposing Psychics while Ice Beam can take advantage of its Dazzling to KO Rayquaza-Mega, which still threatening Zygarde-Complete and Yveltal.

If you want to avoid RegenVests on Zygarde and Yveltal, you can opt for Ice Hammer or Icicle Crash and that can allow you to use Lonely and not have to debate which Nature is better, since Imposter would have the lower Defense if your attacks are all Physical. Icicle Crash + 10% = 93.5 Base power, and can cause Flinch.

While Hazards can break Sash, you likely have hazards removal if you pack Sash in the first place. This enables Reversal over Close Combat. Obviously Close Combat can be used prior to using up Sash, but with such frail defenses and HP, it’s not likely to matter unless it’s the very first turn out against something like Tyranitar.

I would consider Ice as a slash, and Reversal for other options.

Stored Power is too vulnerable to set up, and limits you to Moongeist for Shedinja. Power Trip is the same. Without Mold Breaker, Unaware would just Force it out, and Deoxys-A wouldn’t be able to ever set up again if it’s Sash is already broken.

One option might be Spectral Thief. With Focus Sash, whether it’s Imposter, where you can steal boosts after you set up if you still have Sash (like slow pivoting in against Shedinja so you can force it out and Shell Smash on the switch). Or slow pivoting in against an Unburden Belly Drum Kartana, Deoxys-A can serve as a one time check that also steals the boosts.
Now imagine a +6 Atk, Dazzling Deoxys-A.
