Devastating Pit (#1)

5jzm2sjpg-1.png

Alright I made a RMT not so long ago so this is a new one I decided to make a new team for all those people who crave for power. This team is created by three things (Raw: Power :Devastation) Some people under estimate this team and they find them some grabbing their shit as soon as I put major pressure on them. This team is way better than my other teams, Why? Because this team doesn't need much revenge killing to win or too much switching this team is built to take all your smart attacks then pressurize you to the point you find yourself losing. This team doesn't care about Status inflictions because this team loves Status problems. I made this Team with help from my friends and some people on this forum and they really helped me loads.

Ok so Here the team

jirachi-1.png

Jirachi @Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs:252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe - SpA)
~ Iron Head
~ Fire Punch
~ Ice Punch
~ Trick

This thing annoys every one when it Iron heads with amazing speed than can out speed DD Mence I can Flinch It to death for a late game sweep or a revenge kill. To Reach Jirach's full power I have added many Mixed move to give it a bit more momentum. Ice punch OHKO every Dragon. Fire Punch OHKO all the Ice/Steel types around the metagame and Trick is to annoy Boost Set pokemon. This thing has great synergy with. Latios and they help each other for hits.

This thing totally takes care of all weather types and can really help other members of the team clean up the job.

tyranitar.png

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Atk / 180 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)

- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Fire Blast
- Superpower

Tyranitar is well known for having devastating offensive power as well its impressive defensive prowess. Coupled with a colossal movepool he can fulfil a multitude of roles from support to all out offense. However the imperative aspect he offers is his automatic summoning of Sand. Sand not only allows fellow team mates to function the way they need to, but also gives Tyranitar that 1.5x boost to its special defence, making him the special wall he is renowned for being. Like all good Pokemon Tyranitar comes with his hindering qualities. The most noticeable is his abysmal speed, which is a fundamental quality for most attacking Pokemon. The second is the crippling 4x weakness to Fighting moves as well as the introduction of a smorgasbord of brute fighters. However Tyranitar has still found its niche this generation as one of the most reliable weather inducers.

Tyranitar’s existence is vital for Excadrill to clean up the opponent’s team late game, once all counters are gone. His appalling speed could be seen as a grace or a hinderance. On one hand he is unable to even outrun Skarmory to ensure a 2HKO. However on the other hand his speed ensures that Sand will be up and not Rain or Sun. Tyranitar is a pivotal piece on the team playing many tasks to ensure my team has an easier time applying pressure. The first and foremost is Stealth Rocks. This limits the amount of times the opponent is able to switch and in turn makes the opposition play a more erratic game. Fearing to switch out to many times and instead trying to play a hyper offensive style, which is very different to those not accustomed to it, means that the opponent is unnecessarily sacking their Pokemon. You may think I’m over exaggerating but you’ll notice how hesitant the opponent becomes to constantly switch. Tyranitar also plays the part of tearing apart defensive cores. He handles the infamous Chansey / Skarmory / Slowbro core as well as the new and improved Jellicent / Ferrothorn combination. These basic cores prove problems for most teams, and if unable to break these cores teams will find themselves losing momentum. Having lost momentum it is really hard to regain it. Luckily with Tyranitar on this team he is able to crush these cores with ease and pass on the flow of momentum for the rest of my team to abuse.

latios.png

Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Thunder Bolt

Latios’ amazing 130 special attack and his formidable 110 speed statistic makes him one of the most frightening Pokemon in the OU metagame. With one of the best offensive typings and movepool Latios has a plethora of possible sets to abuse from the standard Choice Specs to the obscure Dragon Dance set. His typing, while offering amazing resistances to common attacks, gives him one of the worst possible weaknesses to Dark types. More specifically the move Pursuit, which when used by Scizor or Tyranitar, leaves me with the option to linger in the presence of the aforementioned or switch and die. However if played properly Latios has the ability to decimate teams.

reuniclus.png

Reuniclus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 192 HP / 64 Def / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)

- Trick Room
- Recover
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball

Reuniclus superb special attack and acceptable defences may seem perfect but when attached to a lacklustre speed statistic one may see Reuniclus as unappealing. However Reuniclus is the dark knight and has proven itself a threat to all teams unprepared. While Calm Mind sets are seemingly the epitome of Reuniclus it can’t be ignored that Trick Room sets work just as well. While most are prepared for Calm Mind variants many are actually ill capable of handling a Trick Room set. Reuniclus has pretty good synergy with Conkeldurr and because of this he is able to also switch into Trick Room and destroy threats to Reuniclus inflicting some major damage. Tyranitar can also abuse it but I prefer to keep him in tip top condition just in case a weather war breaks out. Reuniclus shares the same dire weakness to Pursuit which can be a bane, especially since I’m not running Focus Blast for Tyranitar or Scizor. Luckily he isn’t OHKO’ed by either so so he might get the chance to Trick Room and Recover after his counter has been removed.

534___conkeldurr_by_merum_sb_blueolimar-d32otjc.png

Conkeldurr (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- Bulk Up
- Mach Punch
- Drain Punch
- Payback

Conkeldurr is known for that killer attack statistic, period. Without it Conkeldurr wouldn’t see as much usage as it has. With generation 5 came the almighty Fighting types. Fighting now has the same status as Dragons as the feared, all teams carrying at least one Dragon and Fighting resist. The fact that Fighting types are weak to uncommon types (Flying + Psychic) makes it insanely difficult to take down, especially if they’re carrying a form of recovery in their arsenal. Conkeldurr was also blessed with Guts which makes him the perfect candidate to switch into Scald from bulky Waters and wreak havoc. Conkeldurr still has its troubles with Flying as Psychic types seeing as how he has to rely on the shaky accuracy of Stone Edge to handle them and also the fact it only comes with 8 PP. However luckily for him most Psychic and Flying Pokemon (with the exception of Sigilyph) tend to be rather fragile and easy to handle.

530___excadrill_by_merum_sb_blueolimar-d3ab1hg.png

Excadrill (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- X-Scissor

Excadrill is a staple on any sand team, and I can’t disagree with that. In sandstorm with an Adamant nature he sees himself hitting attack and speed levels of 405 and 550 respectively. With his overwhelming speed statistic I thought that I wouldn’t see any threats besides fellow Jolly Excadrill’s, whom Conkeldurr handles pretty well. He is able to break through his so called “counters” with this set and cleans up late game pretty well. He relies largely on Tyranitar to be around so that he can do what he is known for doing. Unfortunately Excadrill wasn’t awarded a vast movepool, which left him with his only moves being STAB moves. Also his typing left him with weaknesses to various weaknesses to commonly used priority attacks, such as Mach Punch and Aqua Jet. Finally his feeble defences mean that he isn’t going to take any hits easily, especially with the brute force Pokemon where blessed with this generation. However Excadrill has still found its way to being the King of Sand, and with due reason.

This is the amazing Sand Team that has great coverage for every thing.
Though I don't really have much faith in it yet but I am sure I can recover this faith by some nice Feedback.

Looks like a nice team.
I do have some small things that i (looking from my own team) can say could be bettered.

First of all , your reuniclus has nothing against a tyranitar. When Ttar comes in , you can barely hurt it as it resist both your attacking moves. So i would replace shadow ball with focus blast. Even tho my own Ttar can survive a focus blast (even from mewtwo fyi) , unboosted ofcourse , most Ttars cant . Your Ttar is specially bulky too but it has less then 252 hp and spDef ev's so will still be one hitted by a focus blast.
Wich brings me to then ext point , i would change the Ttar to a 252 Hp , 252 SpDef , 4 atk set , less attack , but you'll barely notice the (not even) 20 stat points difference . Where it DOES matter alot for special defence.
You say abou excadrill that with that set it can kill any of his 'counters' .
That is not true , i'm positive my skarmory can always come in , take 2 hits to phaze him out. Roost of any dammage he does and so on. You would need a flinch from rock slide to succesfully kill of a skarmory (unless you get a crit for that matter) .
But there is unfortunatly NOTHING you can change on the set , to change that fact.
What i do suggest , is getting rapid spin on excadrill , ... actually , no dont do that. Most of your pokes arent even weak to SR , and most cant be hitted by spikes. (but spikes can form a huge threat in the end . Defenatly for conkeldurr after a status.)
Your latios set is pretty common , not much to change to it , its a huge threat yeah ^^
Keep it , altho i'm not a fan of legends hehe .

One more thing : Ice punch will not OHKO MS dragonite , but you dont want to battle those according to your signature so i guess its ok.

Nice team. Replace Shadow Ball with Focus Blast on Reuniclus, and replace something with...

bronzong.png

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 252hp/84atk/80def/92Sdef(2spd IVs)
-Stealth Rock
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
-Hidden Power [Ice]
Fixes your Landorus problem. Also deals with Gliscor, Terrakion, etc.

2nd fatsnorlax's suggestion. Bronzong is an elite sand check. Probably use it over Jirachi because it functions for taking dragon hits as well. Then swap Ttar for a scarf variant to retain the revenge killing capabilities. I also think that Focus Blast should be used over Recover. With team preview, you can see Ttar and Scizor from a mile away. Just don't send Reu in until they're weakened enough.

If you have trick room, it's often suggested that you shouldn't have recover with it. I'd recommend Focus Blast, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Trick Room. I always prefered psyshock over psychic. It allows you to hit blissey.

You have a lot of trouble to NP Thundurus in the rain. Jirachi can revenge kill, yes, but it can't take a hit at +2, and you can't really lure a HP Ice. I guess you can switch to Tyranitar on a predicted Thunder, Reuniclus on a Focus Blast and Excadrill on the next Thunder, but it's really risky and Thundurus will just switch out. Not to mention that SubNP Thundurus is becoming more and more common, and you can't revenge kill it with Jirachi or Excadrill in sand.
Quiver Dance Volcarona can also potentially sweep your team with a Quiver Dance in sun or two in sand. Nothing on your team can survive both a Bug Buzz and a Fire Blast / Fiery Dance. Excadrill can revenge kill in sand, but it isn't always and if he somehow manages to get up two Quiver Dances, you're done for.
Rock Polish Landorus can do quite some damage to your team, set up on Jirachi, Tyranitar, Latios or Excadrill and outspeed everything on your team. Not much can take an Earthquake after that, and Latios will just be KOed by Stone Edge, while Excadrill dos piss-poor damage with X-Scissor while getting KOed by Stone Edge + Earthquake.

I recommend using an Azumarill over Conkeldurr. He still has that monster attack stat and strong STAB priority, but also is able to kill Volcarona, Landorus and Thundurus with it. You still cover Terrakion and Excadrill as well. He also adds a Water- and Fire-type resistance, so you can handle weather teams better (you currently only have on Water resist!). The exact set is:

120px-Vincent_Azumarill.png
Azumarill @ Choice Band | Huge Power
Adamant | 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Waterfall / Aqua Jet / Superpower / Return

Good luck!

i dont really see what jirachi is doing for your team. aside from revenge killing dragon-types, it really doesnt take out anything that your team wouldnt otherwise be able to deal with, and it seems to be a bit of a waste of a pokemon. however, your team seems like it could have some big problems with nasty plot thundurus (especially in rain) and quiver dance volcarona. both of these threats can set up on jirachi or latios locked into an unfavorable move, and from there they can basically sweep your team unimpeded. in order to be able to more easily and consistently revenge kill these threats, you might want to consider a choice scarf terrakion instead of jirachi. terrakion can revenge kill both thundurus and +1 volcarona with ease, as well as hitting hard and checking other potential threats as well. try this set:

terrakion @ choice scarf (ability: justified)
jolly nature | 4 HP | 252 Atk | 252 Spe
close combat | stone edge | x-scissor | rock slide

i think you might also want to consider changing your latios set. choice specs latios has massive problems with tyranitar, and isnt very versatile of an attacker. i think that a life orb latios would be a better fit for your team, as such a set can punch massive holes in an opponent, allowing reuniclus or excadrill to come in afterwards and clean up. use a set of draco meteor | surf | thunderbolt | recover and a life orb (keep the EVs and nature you have now). if you want, you can use hidden power fire instead of thunderbolt, but your team already packs several ways to deal with steel-types and not many to deal with water-types, making thunderbolt a more solid option.

finally, try a different EV spread on tyranitar. a spread of 252 HP | 64 SpA | 192 SpD with a sassy nature will allow you to OHKO standard gliscor, who is really only beat by latios on your team, with ice beam.

good luck with your team!
