Yes, well, my first one WAS a fail because I forgot to read the part where it said only one team per RMT and I posted two to save space.......yah, I'm an idiot. XD
but anyway, here's a real RMT and I would really like you guys to provide feedback because I'm still learning.
Here's the team:
I really like defensive pokemon so most of these are bulky so they can take hits as they switch in to attacks that would be super-effective to another team member.
Lead: Flygon @ Expert Belt (Splinter)
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk, 216 Spe, 40 Def
Nature: Jolly
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch
- Roost
I got (am getting) this pokemon from Nook's give-away and decided to make a team around it. After deciding what pokemon I would like on the team, I then thought he would make the best lead and might surprise some people because he's a Life Orb that has a good-unresisted combination (not a normal lead I don't think...?).
Empoleon @ Leftovers (Caesura)
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP, 160 Def, 92 SpD, 6 Spe
Nature: Calm
- Surf
- Grass Knot
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
I was originally planning on running the Swords Dance + Priority on Empoleon but I thought I liked this better. This is mainly to come in on an Ice or Dragon Attack that would originally be aimed at Flygon. Then set up Stealth Rock and Knock Off whatever item they are holding to hopefully give them a disadvantage. Surf and Grass Knot are the moves that the set told me to use...should I replace one with Ice Beam?
Gliscor @ Yache Berry (???????)
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP, 40 Atk, 216 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
I originally started off with Hippowdon but after realizing that his sandstorm was just hurting half my team I switched him out for something that was almost the same typing. I actually like this idea better than Hippowdon because he has better defenses :P and he can Swords Dance and hopefully do some good damage to the enemies and his speed isn't so bad either. All around a good player.
Regice @ Leftovers (BrainFreez)
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpD, 6 Def
Nature: Careful
- Curse
- Avalanche
- ThunderPunch
- Earthquake
This is my idea (i.e. not a set from smogon like I usually do :P). The plan is to have Regice switch in on an Ice or Water attack aimed at Gliscor. Regice has really good special defense and I maximized that to take those hits. The defense I didn't raise at all because it raises itself with Curse. With both those up, I should be able to take a decent amount of hits and then my attack is also raised. So I pound them with the 3 attack moves I assigned.
Slowbro @ Choice Specs (????????)
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 SpA
Nature: Bold
- Trick
- Slack Off
- Surf
- Psychic
I'm still kind of torn between Slowbro here or Starmie. They both resist fighting, fire, and steel that hurts Regice but Slowbro has better defense (which is Regice's weakness) so I chose him instead of the awesome star. Because I can't have more than 2 Leftovers, the plan is to Trick one more onto my team and because he is designed to take physical hits, putting a Choice Specs onto my enemy isn't that bad (unless they are already special attacking O.o) as long as they are physical. Then Slack Off and attack.
Spiritomb @ ??????? (Evil Angel)
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Spd
Nature: Bold
- Calm Mind
- Hypnosis
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power Fighting
This set is the same as Regice except with the Special stats. With nothing super-effective against it, as long as I pump up my defenses, I'm good right? Well, maybe critical hits...well, I Hypnosis them putting them to sleep and then as they switch or stay in I Calm Mind to incease my stats and attack them with an unstoppable combination.
So here we are...I don't have time for a threat list...I'm sorry...I really have to do my homework so I'll put one in tomorrow. :P Also, I need nicknames for Gliscor and Slowbro and an item for Spiritomb that would be great (you don't have to help with the nicknames if you don't want :P).
Thx for taking the time to read this and I look forward to seeing what you have to say!
