Different times for updates in higher and lower parts of the tiers

I think it would be better if the updates of the different tiers were at different times. When a pokemon drops down to UU from OU, the tier updates between UU and NU shouldn't be done at the same time. The same applies if a pokemon drops down from ubers, the pokemon shouldn't drop down to UU at the same time. Or move up.

The reason for this is that new, powerful pokemon included in a tier will likely cause big changes. Let's say a pokemon drops down to UU. This pokemon causes some NU pokemon to get used a lot more, and makes UU pokemon useless. This will make the tiers outdated after maybe just a week.

The tiers are supposed to show which pokemon are more used than others. They are based on useage. But useage may change really fast after tier changes. The tiers will really quickly stop showing which pokemon that are more used than others. They will be outdated, because they show that a pokemon is much used when it isn't.

My suggestion is to make tier changes happen later for every tier below. When the bottom of OU is updated, so pokemon move up and down from UU, pokemon should not move up and down between UU and NU at the same time. If the changes between UU and NU happened a month later, the new UU list would better show which pokemon that are the most used, because many of the changes that the drop-downs from OU causes would happen in that month. Maybe it should be given as much as two months. That will make the tiers show better which pokemon that are much used and little used in UU.

Honestly, I think this guy's got a point.

Anything that drops to UU has a chance to alter how UU is commonly played, theoretically changing usage of the Pokemon in UU, and possibly being able to change the end results of a UU suspect test.

So, yeah, I'm agreeing that the tier drops / banning for different tiers should happen at separate times.

If a pokemon in NU becomes used a lot in UU but is still never used in OU, then it will still be NU. Tiers are based on usage in OU alone, not on usage in UU or NU.

Not true. NU is based of UU, otherwise Porygon2 would be UU. He is 55th in usage statistics (there are 49 in OU, making him higher than almsot all BL's and UU's) but is rarely used in UU and therefore is NU.
