Name of the Ultra Beast: Magground (From maggot and ground)
Typing: Normal-Ground
UB Specification: UB Burial
Stats: 179-97-107-89-59-37 (Total:570)
Potential moves: Wish, Yawn, Trick Room, Parting Shot, Gyro Ball, Trick, Earth Power, Calm Mind, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, Stealth Rock, Rock Tomb, Power Gem
Dex Entry:
Ultra-Sun: It is said that this Pokemon took this imposing form by eating corpses of other Pokemons during thousands of year.
Ultra-Moon: The inability of this Pokemon to hurt other Pokemon by itself is well-known in his world, and nobody fears him there, the worst thing he can do being to block the way.
Flavor Description: As ViZar sais, UB's tend to be the opposite of their real life counterparts. This one being a worm, an animal that is very soft and not resistant, I've made this UB a defensive mon, that can counterratck and is pretty versatile.
Competitive Description: I've imagined this mon to be able to play three main roles easily guessed with team preview. The first one is a very bulky mon, healing other Pokemons in the team thanks to wish, but with no other healing move, and no Toxic. The second would be a trick room setter. The last one is a set-up sweeper, using Calm Mind, that is mainly restricted by it's poor speed and common weakness to water.
Name of the Ultra-Beast: Snoxin (Snow+Toxin)
Typing: Ice-Poison
UB Specification: UB Snowflake
Stats: 107-67-97-73-97-129
Potential Moves: Sludge Wave, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Blizzard, Sludge Bomb, Toxic, Roost, Acid Armor, Knock Off, Stealth Rock, Freeze
Ability: Beast Boost
Dex Entry:
Ultra-Sun: The toxins this Pokemon contains are strong enough to wear down an even resistant pokemon, and makes him suffer for hours.
Ultra-Moon: Even though this Pokemon looks like a snowflake, it seems to be extremely resistant, and levitate over the ground instead of falling.
Flavor Description: I won't repeat myself concerning the opposition of UB's to their real life counterpart, but it is present here (as stated in the Ultra-Moon entry). In addition, it is really fast, unlike snowflakes, which tend to fall slowly on the ground.
Competitive Description: The idea behind this Pokemon was to make a really bulky Pokemon (107-97-97 is on the level of Mew, Jirachi, etc.), but make it fast so it can gain the advantage of it's status moves before it's opponent even move. It's movepool also follow that idea, by having access to status moves (and being one of the only defensive mon who can use acid armor safely), in addition to some coverage moves (it probably wouldn't use them tho, 73 Sp.Atk is too bad), knock off, and Stealth rock. Also, sorry, but this would probably be played mostly in stall (but could still fit in Balance). In addition, it would be the first Poison-Ice type ever !
Design (Not official, if the council décide to change it it'll change)
:
Name of the Ultra-Beast : Madcarug (Madame+Scary+Bug (thanks to Vizar for this one))
Typing: Dark-Bug
UB Classification: UB Trap
Stats: 107-101-89-71-89-113 (Total: 570)
Potential moves: Pursuit, Infestation, U-Turn, First Impression, Zen headbutt, Heart Stamp, Bulk Up, Gunk Shot, Throat Chop, Sucker Punch.
Ability: Beast Boost
Dex Entry:
Ultra-Sun: This Pokemon is well-known for viking to play with it's prey once it has fell in it's trap. It won't ever let it escape.
Ultra-Moon: When this Pokemon meets someone stronger than him, it will prefer fleeing than risking to destroy the trap he spend hours making.
Flavor Description: This one is largely my favorite out of the three i made. It's very defined role of a pivot trapper, along with the fact it's less defensive than the two other, could make it very fun to play. The inspiration of a ladybug, a gracious and apreciated bug, is here turned totally with the terrifying predator side.
Competitive Description: This Pokemon could get very useful in Balance Teams, by trapping mons that could get hard to deal with (Infestation is also the only trapping love, if i recall correctly, that has no immunities, except for Munja) Infestation. It can also do First Impression to do damages and get better speed control, Pursuit on ghost type Pokemons, Bulk Up to be harder to deal with for the trapped Pokemon, and U-Turn to pivot. It could be really fun to use (not so fun to face tho). At least much more fun than Magground and Snoxin.
Name of the Ultra-Beast: Rockilio (Rock+ vespertilio, the latin word for bat)
Typing: Flying-Rock
UB-Classification: UB Echolocation
Stats: 79-103-79-79-79-79-151
Potential Moves: Stealth Rock, Spikes, Rapid Spin, Leech life, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Fly, Brave Bird, Air Slash, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Liquidation, Waterfall
Dex Entry:
Ultra-Sun: This Pokemon see only through echolocation. Its voice come back to it extremely fast, allowing it to fly at high speed easily.
Ultra-Moon: This Pokemon doesn't like to fight directly, and chose most of the time to hide in a protected space.
Flavor Description: This time, the opposition is only in the dex entries, with it being that it hides and doesn't like fighting directly, whereas real life bats have to hunt.
Competitive Description: I wanted this to be a really fast pokemon (thanks to Hematite and kakaks on the Discord for their help). I then thought that an hazard setter was the best role it could fulfill. So it's pretty limited in in what it can do, but do it pretty well, with it's extremely high speed and acceptable bulk for it's role.
