Does the Mewtation glitch still works?

"A Smeargle and Mew fight each other. The Mew knows Transform, and The Smeargle knows Sketch. Mew uses Transform and turns into a Smeargle, and copies Smeargle's moveset. Now, say the opponent's Smeargle knows Earthquake. Smeargle uses Earthquake against Mew. (who is transformed into Smeargle) Now, Mew uses Sketch, and Sketches Earthquake. After the battle is over, Mew would still know Earthquake. That is how the Mewtation Glitch works. The same trick can be used by using a Ditto instead of Mew."


Does it still work in this gen?

That hasn't worked since after GSC, with the exception of early versions of the Japanese DP (and even then it was accomplished somewhat differently).

It didn't work with Ditto last gen. As far as I know it only worked in the GSC era.

I just asked this question in the "ask a simple question", and some testing confirms this.

What happens is when transformed, sketch has a 100% fail rate, making this trick impossible :/

Supposedly it worked in the buggy early Japaneses release?
