UPLOADED MATERIAL
------------------------

[SET]
name: OHKO Fisher
move 1: Fissure
move 2: Yawn
move 3: Protect / Rest
move 4: Liquidation
item: Leftovers / Chesto Berry
ability: Unaware
nature: Impish
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
tera type: Grass

[SET COMMENTS]

* With immense bulk, Yawn, and Unaware, Dondozo is not only an impressive defensive Pokemon, but one of the most dangerous OHKO fishers in the game.

* Protect is not only useful for scouting for unexpected Tera types, but pairs well with Yawn and Leftovers to give Dondozo more longevity.

Tera Types
========

* **Grass-type**: A Grass Tera type is useful enough for covering Dondozo's weaknesses, and the Spore immunity makes it capable of beating Breloom too.

EV Spreads
========

* **252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe**: With Dondozo's massive HP stat, it's still able to take physical hits fairly well with this spread, while making it feasible to Yawn against special attacking threats such as Choice Scarf Hydreigon.

* **252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe**: This more extreme spread helps against powerful Tera users, with the ability to avoid a 2HKO from Choice Band Tera Dragon Dragapult's Dragon Darts with Leftovers. This comes at the cost of being much more vulnerable to weaker special attackers.

[SET]
name: Curse
move 1: Curse
move 2: Rest
move 3: Liquidation
move 4: Fissure / Avalanche / Sleep Talk / Yawn
item: Chesto Berry
ability: Unaware
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
tera type: Grass

[SET COMMENTS]

* With Unaware, Dondozo becomes an effective and difficult to break Curse user.

* Even with Curse being the point of this set, Dondozo can still effectively fish for OHKOs with Fissure when it's not in a favorable set-up position.

* Many foes will Terrastallize into a Flying-type to avoid an expected Fissure, which makes Avalanche a particularly useful coverage move.

Tera Types
========

* **Grass-type**: With a Grass Tera Type, Dondozo can effectively set up on Breloom.

Thanks, Dondozo is now Donedozo (at least until someone figures out better magical EV spreads lol)!

Posted about this in discord, moved it here as asked:

I'm not sure 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpDef is the right spread for a tank dondozo not running body press. I know it has snorlax syndrome where you get way more investing into its lower defense compared to its HP, and it's clear that you get very high value out of maxed SpDef thanks to that, but I think there's more to talk about with the remaining investment. The problem is, I'm not really sure what benchmarks are worthwhile to actually start or stop.

I'm manually plugging in some EV spreads and I'm not seeing a huge change in physical bulk with some moderate HP investment, which is also improving your special bulk. My testing for a good EV spread is admittedly pretty crude: I set two dDondozos to have 200 base attack and 165 Spatk and wild charge and thunder. One has 4 HP 252 Def and the other I'm playing with the defense and HP in variable tiers. I went to the nearest leftovers number for 116 HP / 140 Def and you get ~1% less physical bulk but like ~6% more special bulk from that, on top of extra HP from leftovers. I think this is probably a better balance, but I'm absolutely not sure where the ideal balance sits.

The old xact calc is recommending 4 HP / 252 Def with the 256 EVs remaining for assessing pure physical bulk, but I'm almost certain this isn't interfacing with the calculator in a meaningful way. Yeah that's getting you the best physical bulk with what you have left... but you can also sacrifice very small amounts of physical bulk to get pretty meaningful chunks of special bulk in return.

It might be worth pulling out the damage calc for some common attacks and see if there are any instrumental hits doing your EV spread one way or the other survives. Though, that might also be a struggle given dondozo just eats everything lol.

Edit: For anyone working on possible spreads, probably keep in mind Dondozo's leftovers numbers are at 116 HP and 244 HP. The thresholds for an extra point of defense with a defense boosting nature are at 36 Def, 116 Def, and 196 Def.
