Don't Give Me That Mean Look
[A UU RMT]
[A UU RMT]
Introduction:
Recently I've made two UU teams, a Sunny Day team and a Rain Dance team. You may have seen the RMTs around the forums.

I'm home sick with what appears to be the H1N1 virus (fever and chills... so fun) and what better way to distract myself than to make another UU Team?
I've been working on a UU Stall team for some time, but then I decided I wanted something a little more offensively oriented, so I went with stall plus the two most powerful sweepers I could find.
My basic plan is to set up Spikes, Stealth Rock, screens, and then Baton Pass a Mean Look to one of my sweepers.
This team is a very rough draft, so I would appreciate it to no end if you'd unleash your criticism upon it. = D

TEAM BUILDING PROCESS
First, I needed a lead. I wanted something fast that could benefit the team by setting up an entry hazard as well as managing to avoid the many Normal-Type moves leads like Ambipom often run. So I chose Froslass.
Next I wanted something that could set up dual screens, throw in a Stealth Rock, and escape to come back in when the screens wore out. Uxie, with its access to all those moves and U-Turn, seemed like the proper choice.
I also wanted a Rapid Spinner. I was going to choose Donphan, but I also wanted a Pokemon who could learn Roar in case I was up against something that liked to abuse stat boosts, so I went with Blastoise.
Next, I needed a Baton Pass/Mean Look Pokemon. Umbreon was the obvious choice.
Since I'm only using two sweepers, I wanted to find the most powerful physical and special sweepers available in the UU metagame. Alakazam, though fragile, has the speed and Special Attack to kill fast, and Rhyperior, who is slow, can take a hit before dishing one out from a massive 140 base Attack.

THE TEAM ITSELF

FROSLASS @ Focus Sash
Timid
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Spikes
~ Taunt
~ Destiny Bond
~ Ice Beam
Froslass's speed, plus its immunity to commonly-seen lead attacks like Fake Out and Explosion, make it a great lead.
Taunt handles other leads that want to thrown down a Stealth Rock, and when they try to attack, it's time for Spikes. With Destiny Bond, I can kill any lead that's slower, as long as I don't get shot down by a priority.
Ice Beam is a great STAB backup if I have the time to shoot one off.
With Focus Sash, I can handle a hit and then either set up another layer of Spikes or Destiny Bond the opposition down.
Unfortunately, despite Froslass's Ghost typing, it probably won't live long enough to switch back in later to block Rapid Spinners. Any ideas on how to fix this?

UXIE @ Light Clay
Impish
252 HP / 180 Def / 76 Spe
~ Reflect
~ Light Screen
~ U-Turn
~ Stealth Rock
With decent speed and wonderful defenses, Uxie's a great dual screener, which is perfect, because I needed one. Uxie usually comes in after Froslass, sets up screens, and is then really difficult to hurt while I throw down a Stealth Rock. Then I can U-Turn out and come back later when my screens run out.
Memento is usually used on this set, but I really dislike that move. It sacrifices your Pokemon for the sake of lowering the opposition's stats, which can be nulled by a mere switch-out. I need Uxie to stay alive for future screenage.

BLASTOISE @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpA
~ Surf
~ Rapid Spin
~ Toxic
~ Roar
Blastoise makes a darn good Rapid Spinner. He can handle Stealth Rock, and he brings a much-needed defensive pivot for Grounds, Rocks, and Fires.
Toxic is a great move on a stalling turtle, and one I really wanted on my team - I adore Toxic. Roar is for Pokemon that try some stat-upping, and with his defenses, Blastoise is a good Roar candidate.
Surf for STAB Water to take down those previously mentioned Grounds, Rocks, and Fires, although Blastoise isn't really an attacker and Surf is mainly for backup.

UMBREON @ Leftovers
Careful
252 HP / 92 SpD / 164 Spe
~ Mean Look
~ Baton Pass
~ Wish
~ Yawn
Ah, Umbreon. One of my favorite Pokemon. Umbreon is central to the strategy of this team. It uses Mean Look and Baton Passes to one of my Choice sweepers, whichever one will get the job done better.
Wish is a very helpful healing move, one of which I'll hopefully be able to get in before Baton Passing to a sweeper, which will help the sweeper survive. Yawn is for an opposing Pokemon that poses a threat to both of my sweepers, so it won't be able to do a ton of damage.

ALAKAZAM @ Choice Specs
Synchronize
Timid
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
~ Psychic
~ Focus Blast
~ Signal Beam
~ Energy Ball
Alakazam's Choice Specs-boosted 135-base Special Attack is going to be killing a lot of things that aren't resistant to its attacks or sporting sky-high Special Defense.
Psychic is its main move, and anything that doesn't resist it is going to be in a lot of pain. Focus Blast is for Normal-types, mainly Chansey and Miltank, who would otherwise pose a threat.
Energy Ball over HP Fire for bulky waters that would otherwise pose a threat to this team.

RHYPERIOR @ Choice Band
Solid Rock
Adamant
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
~ Earthquake
~ Stone Edge
~ Aqua Tail
~ Fire Punch
My second powerful sweeper. It gets handed its trapped prey by Umbreon and squashes it with whichever move will best do the job.
Earthquake and Stone Edge are very powerful STABS which also provide great type coverage.
Aqua Tail and Fire Punch are the standard moves for this set, but I'm open to suggestions. I recognize that there are probably many things this team is weak to that I haven't noticed, and different moves in different slots may help fix that.

A FINAL LOOK

AFTERWORD:
Again, this is a VERY VERY rough draft of a team, and it needs a lot of help. I love competitive battling, but I'm still fairly new at it, and any assistance offered would really help shape me as a battler. So please feel free to comment and rate, even if it's only the smallest of nitpicks. Thanks in advance!
