Don't Mess With Heatran
A Shoddy Battle WarStory

Futuresuperstar's Team:
Medicham, Salamence, Tangrowth, Heatran, Dusknoir, Cresselia

Twilightwolf90's Team:
Gallade, Togekiss, Slowbro, Heracross, Jirachi, Porygon-Z

futuresuperstar sent out Medicham.
twilightwolf90 sent out Gallade.

Hmm, Gallade. Well, for some reason, I started this battle with little to no sense in my brain. So, knowing that it would take a critical hit to down Gallade, I still attempted to destroy it!

Medicham used Psycho Cut.
Gallade lost 87% of its health.
Gallade used Thunder Wave.
Medicham is paralysed! It may be unable to move!

Okay, now this sucks. A paralyzed Choice Scarf Medicham really, really sucks. Oh, well, I will have to figure out a way to deal with it. I doubt this thing can kill me in one hit, and I might as well try to faint something with Medicham before losing it.

Gallade used Psycho Cut.
Medicham lost 71% of its health.
Gallade lost 10% of its health.
Medicham used Psycho Cut.
Gallade lost 90% of its health.
twilightwolf90's Gallade fainted.

6-5

Okay, so my Medicham is pretty much a goner, but at least I took down a Pokemon with me.

twilightwolf90 switched in Togekiss.
Togekiss used Air Slash.
It's super effective!
Medicham lost 135% of its health.
futuresuperstar's Medicham fainted.

5-5

I frickin' hate Togekiss so much, my God. That thing and sandstorms are my two least favorite things about Diamond and Pearl. Meh. Well, maybe I can scare it off with Salamence, or perhaps kill it off. I predict a switch, though, so I decide to dance it up. I run a physical variation, myself.

futuresuperstar switched in Salamence.
Salamence's intimidate cut Togekiss's attack!
twilightwolf90 switched in Slowbro.
Salamence used Dragon Dance.
Salamence's attack was raised.
Salamence's speed was raised.

Eww, Slowbro. That was a risky switch-in, had I used Draco Meteor as a Choice Specs Salamence version. But, alas, I settle for stupidity once again and decide to take a physical tank with Ice Beam head-on. Yeah, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed this late at night.

Salamence used Dragon Claw.
Slowbro lost 58% of its health.
Salamence lost 10% of its health.
Slowbro used Ice Beam.
It's super effective!
Salamence lost 114% of its health.
futuresuperstar's Salamence fainted.
Slowbro's leftovers restored a little health!
Slowbro restored 6% of its health.

4-5

Well, I put a solid dent in Slowbro, at least, which turned out to really help me later, but I let my two primary physical threats fall just like that early in the game. This is not a good sign. Hoping to take out Slowbro as quickly as I could, I sent out the first half of everybody's favorite combination.

futuresuperstar: eah, this is a sign that its getting too late, =p
futuresuperstar switched in Tangrowth.
Tangrowth used Grass Knot.
It's super effective!
Slowbro lost 56% of its health.
twilightwolf90's Slowbro fainted.

4-4

This, my friends, is why we have 100 Effort Values in Tangrowth's Special Attack statistic. In any case, mission accomplished, and the slow-ass-Slowbro falls. I have taken out a physical tank, but I have little left to really capitalize on such an achievement. Here's hoping ...

twilightwolf90 switched in Togekiss.

God, I hate this piece of flying blubber! Out-stall, go, go, Cresselia!

futuresuperstar switched in Cresselia.
Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 19% of its health.
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Okay, so Cresselia can eat its attacks with ease, but we all know that the paralysis is coming next, and if I get haxed into submission, the ending will not be pretty. This is about the time that I started to come to my senses during the match, if I recall correctly. Feel free to correct such a statement, though!

Togekiss used Body Slam.
Cresselia lost 11% of its health.
Cresselia is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
Cresselia used Calm Mind.
Cresselia's special attack was raised.
Cresselia's special defence was raised.
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

In an effort to minimize the damage of the little flying blubberball, I tried to Calm Mind before it commenced its Air Slash Raid. In hindsight, Ice Beam may have been a better idea, but it would have done very little damage without any boosts. Then, the switch-stall-war began.

Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 12% of its health.
Cresselia flinched!
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 12% of its health.
Cresselia used Ice Beam.
It's super effective!
A critical hit!
Togekiss lost 94% of its health.
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Wow, I broke through the paraflinch on only try #2 and managed to dent that sucker really hard. Foolishly, I attempted to Ice Beam once again, forgetting that the annoying little sucker carried Roost.

Togekiss used Roost.
Togekiss restored 50% of its health.
Cresselia used Ice Beam.
Togekiss lost 25% of its health.
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Ehhhh. Well, its still going to Roost again, so I can use this opportunity to Calm Mind some more.

Togekiss used Roost.
Togekiss restored 50% of its health.
Cresselia used Calm Mind.
Cresselia's special attack was raised.
Cresselia's special defence was raised.
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Then, the true stall-war began. I remember at one point thinking how many Air Slashes he would have. I really need a fast ground-type on my team ...

Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 10% of its health.
Cresselia is paralysed! It can't move!
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 10% of its health.
Cresselia flinched!
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Cresselia is paralysed! It can't move!
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!

Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 10% of its health.
Cresselia flinched!
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

The good news was that each turn only resulted in a 4% HP loss, and Togekiss would eventually run dry on the attack. The bad news was that I could not break his paraflinch for the life of me. Finally, he gave up to fight another day. I knew I would see the aerial blob again, and I knew I would not be so lucky as to set up a couple of Calm Minds next time, either, especially since I was about to have to switch out ...

twilightwolf90 switched in Heracross.
Cresselia used Moonlight.
Cresselia restored 50% of its health.

Heracross! Well, considering they all run Choice Items these days, I had little to fear from a sweep and just switched to my primary physical wall. Quite honestly, it could not really do much to Heracross, but it could certainly wall it!

futuresuperstar switched in Dusknoir.
Dusknoir is exerting its pressure!
Heracross used Megahorn.
It's not very effective...
Dusknoir lost 22% of its health.
Dusknoir's leftovers restored a little health!
Dusknoir restored 6% of its health.

Say hello to Dusknoir! Well, I cannot do much to you, since I do not have Fire Punch, and I cannot burn you, but you certainly ain't doin' much to me!

twilightwolf90 switched in Porygonz.
Porygonz's Download raised its stats!
Porygonz's special attack was raised.
Dusknoir used Thunderpunch.
Porygonz lost 29% of its health.
Dusknoir's leftovers restored a little health!
Dusknoir restored 6% of its health.

I consider this to be my opponent's main mistake. Porygon-Z desperately needs Choice Specs Dark Pulse to do anything of merit to Dusknoir, and I can hit it plenty hard back. I figured that I would be losing a significant amount of health on my Dusknoir, in the process, but Heracross no longer scared me since I knew it had a Choice Item. Commence attack!

Porygonz used Thunderbolt.
Dusknoir lost 44% of its health.
Dusknoir used Earthquake.
Porygonz lost 36% of its health.
Dusknoir's leftovers restored a little health!
Dusknoir restored 6% of its health.

No Dark Pulse killed this little guy. I certainly was not complaining, though!

Porygonz used Thunderbolt.
Dusknoir lost 46% of its health.
Dusknoir used Earthquake.
Porygonz lost 37% of its health.
twilightwolf90's Porygonz fainted.
Dusknoir's leftovers restored a little health!
Dusknoir restored 6% of its health.

4-3

With Porygon-Z and Gallade down, I figured I had managed to take down a good amount of threats against my team. But, again, without my two main physical attackers and my primary physical wall at 12% HP, I knew my opponent had the upper-hand.

twilightwolf90 switched in Togekiss.

And, this stupid little ball of fluff is frickin' why.

futuresuperstar switched in Cresselia.
Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 19% of its health.
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Go, go, Cresselia! Let us see what you can do!

Togekiss used Air Slash.
Cresselia lost 12% of its health.
Cresselia flinched!
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

Apparently not.

Cresselia lost 9% of its health.
Cresselia flinched!
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

I managed to completely wall it, once again, getting in a few Calm Minds. That thing was running short on Air Slashes, and there was no way I was going to let it run paralysis through my whole team. Once again, he sent out Heracross.

twilightwolf90 switched in Heracross.
Cresselia used Calm Mind.
Cresselia's special attack was raised.
Cresselia's special defence was raised.
Cresselia's leftovers restored a little health!
Cresselia restored 6% of its health.

So, this time, I figured he'd predict the switch back to Dusknoir and try to ensure that it would die. So, I decided to change it up a bit. I knew he would not try to hit an incomer with Close Combat because of Dusknoir's immunity and ability to Pain Split the switch-in. So, I predicted either another Megahorn or Night Slash. Hello to half number two.

futuresuperstar switched in Heatran.
Heracross used Megahorn.
It's not very effective...
Heatran lost 18% of its health.

Aww, yeah. Heatran is out and ready to tear up the team. I knew by this point that he had Togekiss, Heracross, and something else. I figured I would Fire Blast instead of Overheat to try to clean up. This is where I sealed the match in the bag, and this is the reason everybody should run Choice Scarf on their Heatrans!

twilightwolf90 switched in Togekiss.
Heatran used Fire Blast.
Togekiss lost 67% of its health.

Heatran used Fire Blast.
Togekiss lost 69% of its health.
twilightwolf90's Togekiss fainted.

4-2

Flock off, feather face.

twilightwolf90 switched in Jirachi.

Jirachi, eh? Well, again, with Choice Scarf, this thing does not stand a chance.

Heatran used Fire Blast.
It's super effective!
Jirachi lost 132% of its health.
twilightwolf90's Jirachi fainted.

4-1

The little wizard from hell never stood a chance. I felt like being a smart-ass, for some reason, and informed him of his "(BAN ME PLEASE)Weak."

twilightwolf90 switched in Heracross.
futuresuperstar: You have a (BAN ME PLEASE)Weak
twilightwolf90: nk

His last Pokemon is holding a Choice Scarf, which pretty much sealed the win for me, right there. Obviously, Close Combat was right around the corner, which meant a free switch-in for my beloved Dusknoir!

futuresuperstar switched in Dusknoir.
Dusknoir is exerting its pressure!
Heracross used Earthquake.
Dusknoir lost 28% of its health.
futuresuperstar's Dusknoir fainted.

3-1

Earthquake? Well, that sucks. I guess it served as a sacrifice to scout for the win! The rest is history.

futuresuperstar switched in Cresselia.

3-0

Yay, I win!

Pros:
- Heatran is a beast and always will be. If you do not have a fire-resist, you have a (BAN ME PLEASE)Weak. Period. Not even Blissey wants to face this thing in the sun ... though, I never even set up the sun.
- Cresselia for walling the hell out of that stupid and obscenely happy cloud of fluff.
- Dusknoir for being sexy.

Cons:
- I played very poorly in the beginning.
- Medicham basically gave up its roll as a revenge killer the second it got cute with Gallade.
- Salamence did nothing.

Heh, I do that too. Informing people they are Butterfree weak, Toxicroak weak etc. :D

Good warstory, better then most you read around here.

A good read. Probably one of the only warstories I have read through completely. Nice to see your Tangrowth and Heatran, even if they weren't exactly working together.

Your opponent would've fared better with Pursuit over Earthquake. You made a surprising win even with some thoughtless moves.

nice match...beating down on gallade and slowbro wasn't bad afterall =d. and props for dusclops for fending off what was supposed to be a super sweeper porygon2 and heracross xd.

Your cresselia was really a hero (ine) in this match. That last part with Scarfcross using earthquake was quite funny. What, did he run out of stone edge TMs or something? Anyway, too bad there wasn't much growthtran action because the opponent was too incompetent to pose much of a threat to either.

"Flock off, Feather Face"

Best line in this warstory by far, AWESOME use of it.

Overall it was kind of an easy match for you, so it's not too amazing, but the commentary was great. Good show.

Pretty good war story....

If i was your opponene t i would havve switched out togekiss when i go the paraflinch going..

Says the opponent:"I hate Heatran..."

Anyway, loved the story and I find myself laughing at several points of the battle (Togekiss drove you nuts I see " And, this stupid little ball of fluff is frickin' why.")

Right now I am writing an RMT (Scared till Death)... but still have no idea (except to an extend Slowbro) how to deal with Heatran... DIE YOU FREAKIN PIECE OF $#!* !!!

Oh well...

Yay, finally some Heatran pwnage. Nice battle, to bad you were tired and made those bad moves in the beginning, but overall, nice battle.
