ORAS OU Don't Switch ITS A TRAP !

Hellow guys !
So well, i was AFK from Pokemon since some months, a while then, and now i'm back in the game. I never had a pro level but i'm not a beginner.
I would like to start with a new something, and Overused is the "generic" tier so i started with it.
So here is my team IT S A TRAP !

@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 52 SpD / 204 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Tri Attack
- Trick

Starting with Togekiss, who is my lead most of the time. The Haxx thing is really scary when used, 60% of flinch makes Togekiss able to take down most lead i'll encounter. Trick can deal with Stall leads or those who will Stealth rock round 1. Aura Sphere can hit Badly Tyranitar while tri attack is a cool move to use if i know i will go second because of scarfed being tricked.
204 EV Spe since with Scarf it makes Togekiss at 407 Speed, enough to Outspeed Lopunny Mega and those Pokemons that has 135 Speed Base or less.

@ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Togekiss's Best Friend. Most of the time they'll face Togekiss, they'll switch into Scizor, Ferrothorn, or Skarmory. Magnezone handles both of them except if Scizor has Superpower. It's also a good Sweeper that can deal massive damages even if the type makes 0.5 damages. It's a tank.

@ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off

The last pokemon of my core. Conkeldurr assault vest can take many special damages and will absorb all status he can find. He's a good switch to Chansey or Rotom Wash for example while my two other pokemon struggle to those things. Having Knock off makes the guy hit a good ammount of thing that can be switched in without risking anything. Drain Punch makes the pokemon live longer.

@ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic

Garchomp is the punisher here, its classical defensive set will make him able to punish physical attackers such as Talonflame, Lopunny Mega and such without difficulties. If i can place it over an electrik type or fire, they'll mostly switch, letting me put my rocks on the field. With this spread, he can take a Charizard X's Solarbeam and dragon tail it. Toxic is here finally to deal with Stallers suck as rotom wash without take a free Hydro pump in the face.

@ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost

My first main sweeper in the team. Giving him Roost and Swords dance makes him stay alive longer, and he can even takes rock without suffering if i put him against a pokemon that doesn't have Water/Rock/Electrik moves. Sword dance allows Talon to deal respectable damages on tyranitar, OHKO Chansey , OHKO Hoopa Unbound....Yep, Talon is good. It's also the pokemon that stops Charizard Y and those "I DD Myself 3 times and sweep you" pokemons.

@ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Taunt

The second main sweeper. He can makes holes in most situation. He struggles against Sabeleye Mega but well, he cant be good everywherer. He's enough to deal with those Gardevoir, Latios, Latias, any poison-type pokemon and Focus Blast makes some surprises by hitting Ferrothorn, Excadrill etc. He's a decent Out to metagross and taunt will break stall strategies.

Well, so this is my team. I know there is lot of things to change, i guess, but i'm pretty comfortable with this one. I'm at ~1500 ELO in the ladder using this, even if i have hard time against things such as Zapdos who can counter most of my pokemons if i dont sweep him fast with Alak. I'm open to changes, but i would like to keep my core. If i can keep the same pokemons it's cool too since the Defensive covering is pretty good in my opinion.
Thanks Guys !

Hello Overgiga Miltank (very funny name xD),

I tried this team because Togekiss is one of my favorite Pokemon.
I think the team has a nice balance, but lacks a water resistance. I got swept almost cleanly by a Keldeo.
On top of that, you don't have a way to remove Stealth Rock once it has been set-up by your opponent, which quite problematic when your team has a Talonflame and a Togekiss.

I propose to change Conkeldurr (it did not do much for me during my games) for Latios. He should be able to switch into Keldeo reliably, and remove the hazards thanks to Defog.
I hope it helps, the speed provided by Latios should be useful in a lot of situations (for instance, if an opposing Manaphy manages to set-up).

Good luck with your team.

Hi Overgiga Miltank,

nice team you have here! As the previous rater stated, you don't have anything for hazards control, so Starmie over Conkeldurr is kinda nice imo. This will allow you to deal with Keldeo and remove entry hazards. You can run a bulky set with Thunder Wave for speed control or a fast offensive set with Analytic and Life Orb to punish switch-ins. Then, be sure to replace Taunt with Encore on Alakazam in order to deal with some setup sweepers or bulky Pokemon with recovery

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Thunder Wave / Psyshock
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin

The former synergizes with Togekiss' Air Slash whilst the latter deals with Manaphy and fast teams better. In addition, Ferrothorn is trapped by Magnezone, so Starmie works well in the team. Hope I helped and good luck with your team!
