Don't underestimate Dark Arceus!

I've always enjoyed playing Ubers. However, I found one of my old Ubers teams not working out too well, so I decided to make a new one. Here, I wanted to be able to give stall teams serious trouble, while retaining the team's usability outside of that role. Also, I wanted to use what I think is the most underrated Uber ever: Dark Arceus.

Alright, here's the team!

Deoxys-A @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Psycho Boost
- Superpower
- ExtremeSpeed
- Shadow Ball

Glass cannons. They somehow manage to make their way onto every team I make! This is almost always my lead; it does a great job at breaking opposing leads like Deoxys-S, who must choose in between setting up SR or breaking my sash (usually breaking my sash), and then it goes down to a combination of Shadow Ball and ExtremeSpeed. Superpower lets me handle a leading Tyranitar, who usually lead to break my sash, or a possible Steel-type. Psycho Boost was the last move of choice to handle the rest, since it outdamages a super-effective Ice Beam anyway and most of the Pokemon that get hit 4x by Ice are either KOed by Psycho Boost anyway or handled by Mamoswine anyway.

Rayquaza_Shining_Version_by_Xous54.png

Rayquaza @ Life Orb
Trait: Air Lock
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- ExtremeSpeed
- Outrage

Mixed Rayquaza, breaking them walls to make Dark Arceus's job easier. I was originally using a Mixed Giratina-O, but I found that it was too slow to really do much and ExtremeSpeed would be better than Shadow Sneak, so I switched it to Rayquaza after a few battles. Skarmory's getting taken down by Fire Blast, while Draco Meteor will do a heavy chunk to Groudon, usually low enough for Scizor to take care of it with Bullet Punch. This also gives me a great way of stopping Kingdra before it uses Dragon Dance, since Air Lock negates the Swift Swim boost. Outrage lets me do a heavy chunk to Blissey and Chansey, who could give Dark Arceus trouble because, although it can beat both, it usually leads to a time-consuming 30+ turn stall war, and then ExtremeSpeed helps out against faster threats like Blaziken with a few speed boosts.

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 200 HP / 56 Atk / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit

The most prominent stops to Dark Arceus are Terrakion and Tyranitar. So, I decided to slap a CB Scizor on the team and it has yet to fail me. Bullet Punch lets me stop Terrakion hard, already making things a lot easier for Dark Arceus. Superpower is for Tyranitar, as the standard T-tar won't get OHKOed by Bullet Punch, and due to the removal of Rain, its Fire Blast will OHKO Scizor. It also helps a lot against Heatran and Ferrothorn, who can't do a whole lot to Scizor in return and also give Dark Arceus problems. U-turn scouts for switches (since the likes of Terrakion will never stay in on Scizor), and for the sole purpose of helping out against Scarf/Specs Reshiram locked into Draco Meteor (both of which can be problematic), Pursuit lets me weaken them to the point that they're easier to take care of, and also help out against the occasional Lati@s.

Kyogre_by_yoshitaka.png

Kyogre @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Water Spout
- Surf
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

The problems are, Scizor cannot handle Excadrill and Lucario, who also give Dark Arceus trouble. To remedy these problems, I decided to use a Scarf Kyogre. It seemed pretty easy for me to fit on the team, nerfing Blaziken's Flare Blitz, helping Scizor's massive Fire weakness, and completely negating Mamoswine's Fire weakness.

The first STAB move of choice was Water Spout, as it will do massive damage to just about anything coming in when at full HP (even Groudon!), and then Surf for back-up STAB when Kyogre's HP gets low. Both of these moves will OHKO Excadrill, so that's one problem down. Thunder lets me revenge kill Manaphy, and Ice Beam ensures things like SD Garchomp aren't complete annoyances, which especially helps since Kyogre removes the sandstorm.

Mamoswine (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Substitute

Mamoswine has an interesting niche in Ubers: Due to its Ground typing, it can set up on the multitude of Choiced Thunders in Ubers, which I attract a lot of thanks to Kyogre! Simple strategy here: Switch in on a Choiced Thunder aimed towards Kyogre (usually from Palkia), then get a free sub as they switch out! Virtually every single wall in Ubers is 2HKOed by either Icicle Crash or Earthquake, and because of the Substitute, Giratina and Lugia can't phaze me with Dragon Tail, so I can get another free hit off. Icicle Crash does 61.3% - 72.12% to the standard 252 HP/176 Def Impish Lugia, and despite only doing 50.7% - 59.64% to 248 HP/252 Def Giratina, Dark Arceus can handle it pretty well. Earthquake lets me do something to the typical CM Steel Arceus (37.5% chance to OHKO), who will give Dark Arceus serious trouble, and at the same time can't be handled by Scizor, and then Ice Shard lets me prevent a DD Rayquaza/Salamence sweep, and also does a good job at handling Garchomp.

Arceus-Dark @ Dread Plate
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Judgment
- Refresh
- Recover

Here He is, the star of the show. Stall teams, all I can say about your fate against Him is, if you run into Him on the highway, you're going to have some serious trouble.

My main reasons for using Dark Arceus over Darkrai are for His reliable recovery, ability to remove status, superior bulk, and still giving stall teams serious trouble. If Rayquaza is down, then not all hope is lost for Dark Arceus, because He can still beat Chansey and Blissey thanks to having access to Refresh and Recover at the same time, thanks to nothing being immune to His STAB Judgment. Chansey and Blissey can't do anything to prevent Him from getting to +6/+6, and once that happens, both are 2HKOed by Judgment, and even specially defensive Forretress is 2HKOed, despite resisting the attack.

Well, hope you enjoyed this RMT! Rate, comment, subsc - Oh wait this isn't YouTube, sorry. Anyway, rate, hate, whatever floats your boat.

I am not a pro in ubers so this rate may or may not help. It looks that RP Groudon can easily handle your team. It outspeeds everything at +2 and can deal a sizable chunk to majority of your team. You have to rely on weak priotry to check it and all but Mamoswines Ice Shard seem kinda lacking. Also Ho-Oh seems like it could be problematic because you have no Stealth Rocks. It can come in and freely spam Brave Birds and Sacred Fires which will wear your team down rather quickly as nothing barring Dark Arceus has recovery. Also Garchomp behind a Sub looks like it could hurt. It won't be sweeping you unless Kyorge falls but behind a Sub it can easily handle your team. It can sub up on a Choiced Thunder or a Rayquaza outraging. I would suggest you add a Heatran to your team as it seems like it can handle the threats I mentioned.

Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
Heatran can take Brave Birds and rock up. This makes it an alright Ho-oh check. Just try it out and seem if it does you any good. I would suggest putting it over your Deoxy-A because it never helps to be playing 5-6.
Hope the quick rate helped.

Heatran sounds like something interesting to try out, but I don't think it'd work since the rain that Kyogre sets could conflict with it. I just don't think Heatran would work out too well on this team, and since Ho-Oh is getting hit hard by a Rain-boosted Water Spout from Kyogre at full health (OHKO if I recall correctly), I haven't really run into any situations where I needed to have Stealth Rock.
