Thanks to its sky-high Defense stat backed up by an Eviolite and an excellent defensive typing, Doublade is a great check to strong physical threats such as Cobalion, Terrakion, and Lycanroc-D, although it must be careful, as the latter two commonly carry coverage moves to hit it super effectively on on the switch. It also sets itself apart from other walls for its great Attack stat, ability to sweep late-game, and access to Swords Dance and Shadow Sneak. However, due to Doublade's overreliance on Eviolite, it struggles to safely switch into foes it's supposed to like Mienshao and Heracross, as they commonly carry Knock Off. Furthermore, due to its low Special Defense, Doublade should not stay in on special attackers that aren't weak to Shadow Sneak such as Kingdra and Keldeo. Gyro Ball can be used instead of Iron Head for a much harder hit against faster foes, as it has a chance to OHKO Noivern on the switch. However, this comes with a drawback in having a weaker move against slower foes such as Galarian Weezing, Rhyperior, and Sylveon, as well as having less PP, decreasing Doublade's wallbreaking prowess. Shadow Sneak allows Doublade to revenge kill weakened foes such as Lycanroc-D and Starmie and lets it perform well as a late-game cleaner. Close Combat is a strong coverage move against Pokemon that would otherwise switch into Doublade such as Bisharp and Krookodile. Shadow Claw is an alternative move to enable it to break through Slowbro and deal with Reuniclus better. However, using Shadow Claw makes Doublade forgo either Iron Head or Close Combat, giving it a hard time against Sylveon and Galarian Weezing or Bisharp and Incineroar, respectively. The given Speed EVs allow Doublade to outspeed uninvested Rhyperior; a Brave nature with 0 Speed IVs should always be used if running Gyro Ball.

Doublade pairs well with strong wallbreakers such as Terrakion and Zarude, since they can punch holes in opposing teams and weaken Doublade's checks like Slowbro, Galarian Weezing, and Incineroar, helping it sweep late-game. Doublade is easily offensively checked by almost any special attacker that can shrug off Shadow Sneak damage, such as Heliolisk, Keldeo, or Noivern; therefore, pair it with specially defensive Pokemon like Celebi and Sylveon to alleviate this weakness. Celebi can also take on the bulky Water-types like Rotom-W that threaten Doublade and pressure Incineroar. Doublade also appreciates entry hazard removal from the likes of Galarian Weezing and Noivern as well as Wish support from Sylveon and Umbreon, since Doublade is susceptible to getting worn down throughout the match due to its lack of recovery. Galarian Weezing in particular pairs well with Doublade, dealing with Dark-types such as Krookodile and Zarude that it struggles with while pressuring its checks like Slowbro with Toxic Spikes, Corrosive Gas, and Neutralizing Gas. Since Doublade heavily relies on its Eviolite to switch into threats, it is very weak to Knock Off from Pokemon like Obstagoon and Krookodile; therefore, Pokemon that can switch into or punish Knock Off users such as Cobalion and Terrakion make good partners. The former can also set Stealth Rock to chip down foes for Doublade to sweep late-game. Given its pitiful Special Defense, Doublade is also a poor answer to Sylveon and Roserade, despite being a Steel-type. As such, teammates like Galarian Slowbro, Escavalier, and Talonflame, which can also pressure Doublade's checks like Incineroar and Krookodile, are much-needed partners.

Thanks to its sky-high defense stat backed up by eviolite and an excellent defensive typing, Doublade is a great check to strong physical threats such as Terrakion, Cobalion, and Lycanroc-D Scyther, and even Mimikyu. It's kind of an unreliable Mimikyu check and just gets Knocked by Scyther, so adjusting this list for its most relevant targets. It also sets itself apart from other walls by threatening to sweep late-game with a great attack stat, and access to Swords Dance and Shadow Sneak. However, Doublade must be careful not to switch into a Knock Off as it heavily relies on its Eviolite, and should not stay in on any special attackers not weak to Shadow Sneak, such as Kingdra and Keldeo, due to its low special defense. Swords Dance is the boosting move of choice, taking advantage of the switches Doublade forces by switching into the aforementioned physical attackers, turning it into a threatening wallbreaker and sweeper. fluff Iron Head gives Doublade a reliable and strong STAB move, while Gyro Ball can be used instead for a much stronger hit against faster foes, securing the OHKO on Terrakion while having a chance to OHKO Noivern on switch in. However, this comes with a drawback in having a weaker move against slower foes such as Galarian Weezing and Sylveon, as well as having less PP, decreasing Doublade’s wallbreaking prowess. Shadow Sneak allows Doublade to revenge-kill weakened foes such as Lycanroc-D and Starmie, and lets it perform well as a late-game cleaner. Close Combat is a strong coverage move against Pokemon that would otherwise switch into Doublade, such as Bisharp and Krookodile. Shadow Claw can be used over Close Combat to provide Doublade with a stronger Ghost-type STAB move to break through Slowbro and opposing Doublade, though this means that it can no longer break through Bisharp and Krookodile. I actually prefer to run this over Iron Head quite a lot of the time, since you retain the coverage for these Dark types, but it lets you have a strong answer to Reuniclus for bulkier teams without relying on Haze. You still break stuff like Terrakion with this cause of CC, but you do struggle to put pressure on Mystical Fire Sylveon and Weezing. Try and accurately sum the pros and cons of doing this up in a lot less words than this XD he given EV spread maximizes Doublade’s power and bulk; when running Shadow Claw, a 248 HP / 160 Atk / 100 Def spread with an Adamant nature can be used to avoid the OHKO from Marowak-A’s Flare Blitz, while you can retaliate with Shadow Claw. Would not bother with this most of the time, +2 sneak kills anyway and your cutting into your powre a bit. A Brave nature with 0 Speed IVs should always be used when using Gyro Ball.

Doublade pairs well with strong wallbreakers such as Terrakion and Zarude, since they can punch holes in opposing teams and weaken Doublade’s checks like Slowbro, Rotom-W Washtom doesn't want tocheck either of these, replace this mention with Weezing if you want. and Incineroar, helping it in sweeping late-game. Doublade is easily offensively checked by almost any special attacker that can shrug off Shadow Sneak damage, such as Keldeo and Noivern; pair it with specially defensive Pokemon like Mantine and Sylveon to alleviate this weakness. Don't like the Mantine mention, its not really a massive Pokemon right now in general, if you want a better option to ddeal with Keldeo consider talking about Celebi and mentioning how it can pressure these defensive waters and incin you dislike too! Doublade also appreciates hazards removal support from the likes of Mantine and Noivern, put a Weezing mention instead of Mantine, talk about how it can deal with dark types like Zarude, Obstagoon and Krookodile that you struggle with, mention how it can pressure a lot of Doublade's checks with Toxic Spikes and Corrosive Gas support as well as Wish support from Sylveon and Umbreon, since Doublade is susceptible to getting worn down throughout a match, due to a lack of recovery on its own. In return, Doublade can switch into strong physical wallbreakers, such as Terrakion and Mimikyu, not a great mimikyu switch in, you really want the disguise broken to check it with doub. that threaten these Pokemon. Since Doublade heavily relies on its Eviolite to switch into threats, it is very weak to Knock Off from Pokemon like Obstagoon and Krookodile. Pokemon that can switch into or punish Knock Off users such as Krookodile and Terrakion make good partners. Definitely mention Cobalion here too. Krookodile can also set Stealth Rock to chip down foes for Doublade to sweep late-game, as well as use Taunt on set-up sweepers like Swords Dance Terrakion that attempts to bypass Doublade’s bulk.Krookodile is never going to try and Taunt Terrakion, you are slower and if not Chople just fold to a CC.

You should comment on how as a Steel-type Doublade is a very poor answer to Sylveon, therefore teammates like Galarbro are essential partners. You can specifically give mention to CM Glowbro, providing a secondary fat win con that can help to pressure Doublade's checks like Incineroar, Krookodile, and Zarude with its coverage.

Thanks to its sky-high defense stat backed up by eviolite and an excellent defensive typing, Doublade is a great check to strong physical threats such as Terrakion, Cobalion, and Lycanroc-D. if you are going to call it a great check I really think you need an addendum here to talk about how +2 LO EQ from terrak and +2 LO Crunch from sd lycan can definitely blow through you if you aren't careful, atm it makes it sound like an incredibly reliable check to both when in reality eq rak and SD lycan can be problematic if you dont stay at full HP. Celebi can also take on the bulky Water-types like Rotom-W that threatens Doublade and pressure Incineroar. when you talk about special attackers that can check it, it'd be nice to have a mention of heliolisk somewhere too (talk about it with celebi most likely), since it's completely immune to sneak making it a lot more problematic than keldeo/noiv which can be easily chipped into +2 sneak range. Doublade also appreciates hazards removal support from the likes of Galarian Weezing and Noivern, as well as Wish support from Sylveon and Umbreon, since Doublade is susceptible to getting worn down throughout a match, due to a lack of recovery on its own. Galarian Weezing pairs well with Doublade especially, dealing with Dark-types such as Krookodile and Zarude that it struggles with, while pressuring its checks like Slowbro with Toxic Spikes, Corrosive Gas and Neutralizing Gas. Mention something about how Glowbro provides a much more reliable Roserade check due to its recovery, regenerator, and boots, something doublade really struggles with cause of its low SpD.

Thanks to its sky-high defense stat backed up by Eeviolite and an excellent defensive typing, Doublade is a great check to strong physical threats such as Cobalion, Terrakion, and Lycanroc-D, although it can only do so at full health for the latter two. Instead of saying it has to be at full health, I would just state it has to be careful as the latter two commonly carry coverage to hit it super-effectively on the switchin. It also sets itself apart from other walls by threatening to sweep late-game with a great attack stat, and access to Swords Dance and Shadow Sneak. However, Doublade must be careful not to switch into a Knock Off as it heavily relies on its Eviolite Reword this starting bit to say However, due to Doublade's overreliance on Eviolite it struggles to safely switch into foes it wants to like Mienshao and Heracross, as they commonly carry Knock Off. , and Doublade should also not stay in on any special attackers not weak to Shadow Sneak, such as Kingdra and Keldeo, due to its low special defense. Flows better making this point its own line now. Iron Head gives Doublade a reliable and strong STAB move, while Gyro Ball can be used instead of Iron Head for a much stronger hit against faster foes, securing the OHKO on Terrakion This Terrak mention isn't that relevant imo given Iron Head and CC do 85 min, which is putting it into sneak range. So regardless Terrak is losing the 1vs1. Just keep the sole example as Noivern. while having a chance to OHKO Noivern on switch in. However, this comes with a drawback in having a weaker move against slower foes such as Galarian Weezing, Rhyperior, and Sylveon, as well as having less PP, decreasing Doublade’s wallbreaking prowess. Close Combat is a strong coverage move against Pokemon that would otherwise switch into Doublade, such as Bisharp and Krookodile. Shadow Claw is an alternative move to enable it to break through Slowbro and Reuniclus, most notably Acid Armor variants. This implies Slowbro also has an Acid Armor set. I would just remove the acid armor mention entirely. I'm adding a few more partners than just Gbro so I wouldn't bother expanding further on this.
