PU Doublade (Done)

[OVERVIEW]
Doublade's outstanding Eviolite-boosted physical bulk and great defensive typing let it check the many physical attackers in the PU tier, such as Gallade, Silvally-Fairy, and Cinccino. In a pinch, full-health Doublade can even handle strong Dark types such as +1 Scrafty and Choice Band Absol, surviving Knock Off and hitting back hard with Close Combat, which outright OHKOs the latter. Doublade also possesses a solid Attack stat, which, in conjunction with Shadow Sneak, enables it to revenge kill weakened threats such as Galarian Articuno. Doublade's typing and priority Shadow Sneak also enable it to check Ribombee, a critical role that makes it a staple on offensive teams. Swords Dance allows Doublade to set up and sweep late-game provided its checks are weakened. However, Doublade's low Speed often forces it to take a hit before doing anything, and its poor special bulk can be taken advantage of by special attackers such as Charizard, especially if its Eviolite has been lost to Knock Off.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Shadow Sneak
move 3: Shadow Claw / Iron Head / Rock Slide
move 4: Close Combat
item: Eviolite
ability: No Guard
nature: Adamant
evs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance raises Doublade's Attack and enables its Shadow Sneak to clean up teams if boosted enough. Shadow Claw serves as a stronger STAB move against bulkier foes such as Jellicent and opposing Doublade, while Iron Head hits Gigalith and Regirock hard without the stat-lowering drawback of Close Combat. Rock Slide may be an alternative option for Pokemon such as Charizard that may try to switch in, and it retains good coverage alongside Close Combat. Close Combat affords perfect neutral coverage alongside Shadow Sneak or Shadow Claw, and it further nails Dark-types such as Scrafty while breaking through some physically bulky Pokemon such as Aggron. 8 Speed EVs outspeed uninvested base 35 Speed Pokemon such as Quagsire. Pokemon with high special bulk to complement Doublade's physical bulk are often good teammates. Audino and Gigalith are good options on balance teams. Gigalith also provides Stealth Rock support and sand to help wear down Doublade's checks. Doublade can effectively run Rest on more bulky teams for more longevity over coverage with cleric support from Audino, Eldegoss, or Ribombee. On offensive teams, Frosmoth and Doublade can wear down each other's checks such as Regirock and opposing Doublade. Offensive Rock-types that can handle special Fire-types like Charizard, such as Archeops, may also be good teammates for Doublade on hyper offense.

Swords Dance raises Doublade's Attack and enables its Shadow Sneak to clean up teams if boosted enough. Shadow Sneak provides valuable priority to bypass Doublade's poor Speed and enable it to revenge kill or sweep. (i think this is fine to remove, the previous sentence + the overview already nicely and briefly cover sneak.) Shadow Claw or Iron Head serve as a stronger STAB against bulkier foes such as Jellicent without the stat-lowering drawback of Close Combat. Close Combat affords perfect neutral coverage alongside Shadow Sneak or Shadow Claw, and is valuable in helping Doublade hit Dark-types such as Scrafty and Absol as well as break through some physically bulky Pokemon such as Aggron. (rock slide is worth mentioning as an alternative to shadow claw/iron head.) The given EV spread maximizes Doublade's damage output and overall bulk while outspeeding uninvested base 35 Pokemon such as Quagsire. If your team can already handle Fire-types well, Frosmoth may be a good teammate for Doublade, as its high special bulk complements Doublade's physical bulk and the duo can help wear down each other's checks such as Regirock and opposing Doublade. (could probably generalize this point so that it's about stuff that covers special attackers and not a specific mon. feel free to use frosmoth as an example in the revised sentence(s), though.) Rock-types that can handle special Fire-types such as Charizard and provide hazard support to chip Doublade's checks, such as Gigalith and Lycanroc, may also be good teammates for Doublade. (it might be worth making this point more about rock-types being useful partners whether they provide hazard support or not, though the fact that gig does provide it is certainly worth noting in its own sentence.) (mention archeops instead of lycanroc, way better long-term check to zard.)

Swords Dance raises Doublade's Attack and enables its Shadow Sneak to clean up teams if boosted enough. Shadow Claw or Iron Head serve as a stronger STAB against bulkier foes such as Jellicent include an iron head target and include opposing doublade as a shadow claw target without the stat-lowering drawback of Close Combat. Rock Slide may be an alternative option against Pokemon such as Charizard that may try to switch in mention how it still hits stuff that iron head does. Close Combat affords perfect neutral coverage alongside Shadow Sneak or Shadow Claw, and is valuable in helping Doublade hit Dark-types such as Scrafty and Absol would prefer swapping the absol and scrafty mentions for smth else, could also just remove (or just keep scrafty even) since it's mostly about the neutral coverage it provides as well as break through some physically bulky Pokemon such as Aggron. The given EV spread maximizes Doublade's damage output and overall bulk while outspeeding uninvested base 35 Speed Pokemon such as Quagsire. Pokemon with high special bulk to complement Doublade's physical bulk are often good teammates. mention audino and maybe mention Gigalith up here too instead of an independent point with rock types, like special sponges -> offensive partners One example is Frosmoth matchup mon is kinda niche but fine to keep if the emphasis stays on the diff special sponges, and the duo can help wear down each other's checks such as Regirock and opposing Doublade. Rock-types that can handle special Fire-types such as Charizard, such as Gigalith and Archeops, may also be good teammates for Doublade. Gigalith also boasts exceptional special bulk under sand as well as providing Stealth Rock support and sandstorm to help wear down Doublade's checks. mention rest variants and include how they can be eh without support/being full stall

A bit delayed but should be implemented now, can you please clarify what you mean by "rest variants" just to make sure we're on the same page? Do you mean Rest variants of Doublade, possibly running Sleep Talk? I apologize for my ignorance but I actually never used such a set before, only the standard SD set.

...Audino and Gigalith are good options for specially bulky Pokemon on balance teams. Gigalith also provides Stealth Rock support and sandstorm to help wear down Doublade's checks. In particular, variants of Doublade with Rest especially appreciate the passive damage that Gigalith brings. Doublade can run Rest on more bulky teams for more longevity over coverage effective with cleric support from Audino, Eldegoss, or Ribombee. On hyper offense offensive teams, Frosmoth can be used, and the duo can help to wear down each other's checks such as Regirock and opposing Doublade. Offensive Rock-types that can handle special Fire-types such as Charizard, such as Archeops, may also be good teammates for Doublade on hyper offense.
smth like this is fine, don't need to describe spdef sets for this
Thank you, implemented!
