This is now my second RMT on here so hopefully I can keep improving. I started this team with Latios to play against my friend who was anti-draco meteor to show him it was good. I decided to add Kyurem-B for a more physical dragon and thus began the reign of the Double Barreled Dragon.
Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 12 SpD / 244 Spe
Hasty Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
-Earthquake Defog
Draco and Psyshock are on all Latios. HP Fire lets you hit Scizor and Ferrothorn mainly as well as giving you a chance against steels in general that aren't named Heatranwhich brings us to our next move, earthquake. Earthquake really only is used for Heatran but it gets the job done. The EVs give 93.8% chance to OHKO after rocks and of course always KO if it switches into a draco. The speed is max except HP Fire forces an imperfect IV so 244 allows me to stay ahead of base 108s like Keldeo. The rest is put into Special Attack because Latios is what you would call a special attacker.
Kyurem-Black @ Leftovers
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 56 HP / 120 Atk / 132 SpA / 200 Spe
Rash Nature
- Substitute
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
-Dragon Claw Fusion Bolt
This has to be my single favorite pokemon to use on this team even though it is the first time I have ever used it. The sub is magical easing prediction and keeping you safe. The EVs are from the Strategy Dex and used that exact set except I opted for a physical STAB move instead of electric coverage. Ice Ground hits everything neutrally thanks to help from Teravolt except for Surskit which has run rampant on my team, sweeping on numerous occasions, when it comes in on this thing and, wait, what the heck is a Surskit anyways?
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Superpower
When running dragons this gen there is an immanent problem named fairy types in general to watch out for. Scizor is gifted with the ability to do a little bit of damage to fairies with the move bullet punch. I chose the banded set because it hits hard without requiring set up and I can get the freedom of being able to do a lot of damage while getting my but out of the battle with u-turn. This is honestly the only Scizor set I have ever run and it does the job i want it to so I plan on continuing to use it.
Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Synthesis
Mega Venusaur was added to the team to join Scizor on the anti-fairy squad specifically walling the most common fairy in the meta right now. Giga drain is the main STAB because it gives you health back. Sludge bomb is the main damage output and has a nice 30% chance of poisoning. HP Fire prevents being walled by steels in general but mainly those that 4x resist and are immune to my STABs like Ferrothorn. Synthesis provides reliable recovery to help be a better wall. The EVs are simple: take as little damage as possible from physical attacks.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
The most over used of the overused is this man right here. I chose him for stealth rocks as well as his ability to wall the entire physical metagame. EdgeQuake is great coverage and U-Turn provides momentum. The EVs are slightly reminiscent of those I put on Venusaur because they are exactly the same except Landorus prefers to use physical attacks.
Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
-Protect Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
At this point I see my team has 2 physical walls and just under 0 special walls so I will need something to catch special attacks single handedly. I chose the Pokemon with the greatest amount of special bulk because of its special bulk believe it or not. This set has the ability to use wishes to keep everyone on the team healthy and to wear down anything with toxic stall. EVs are the best for taking hits and that they do.
This team is far from perfect although I would like it to be; that is where you come in. Please help me improve it as best you can. I have a few ideas of changes I could make but I'm not sure how great they would be so I will only make them if you suggest them as my Team Rater. Happy Rating!
