Double Dance Magearna is one of the most dangerous sweepers in the OU tier; it can set up with both Shift Gear and Calm Mind to sweep through offensive teams and overwhelm balanced builds without Toxapex. Magearna takes advantage of some of OU's most prolific Pokemon, such as Ash-Greninja locked into Dark Pulse and Mega Alakazam, as setup bait, which lets Magearna quickly snowball due to Soul-Heart stopping the opponent from easily sacrificing Pokemon to check Magearna. Double Dance Magearna is best featured on bulky offense teams that require a late-game cleaner against opposing offense as well as balance teams lacking Toxapex. Finally, offensive wallbreakers that can break Toxapex teams, such as Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele, and Heatran, are appreciated as teammates for this Magearna set because it they can give the team an advantage in Magearna's worst matchups.

Magearna abuses takes advantage of some of OU's most prolific Pokemon, such as Ash-Greninja locked into Dark Pulse and Mega Alakazam, as setup bait, and that results in which lets Magearna quickly snowballing into victories snowball due to Soul Heart Soul-Heart stopping the opponent from sacking easily sacrificing Pokemon to check Magearna. Double Dance Magearna tends to find itself is best featured on Bulky Offense bulky offense teams that require a late-game cleaner against opposing offenses offense as well as balance teams lacking Toxapex. Finally, offensive breakers wallbreakers that can break Toxapex teams, such as Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele, (AC) and Heatran, that break Toxapex teams are appreciated as a teammate teammates for this Magearna set because it they can give the team an advantage in Magearna's worst matchups.
