I'm entering a tournament in a few weeks at an Anime Convention.
The rules are pretty basic except 1 thing: No Species Clause
Playing B1 and a ban list of
Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Kyorge, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Garchomp, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Excadrill, Thundurus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Meloetta, and genesect
I felt swanging around 2 Salamences was obviously the way to go.

I'm not proud of myself.

Salamence @ Life Orb | Moxie
Naive 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast

Starting out with the glory end of the team, the late game sweeper, DD Mence. With sand, spikes, SR, and U Turn wearing down my opponent, when the time comes this guy will mow down the opposition. At least, that's the plan here.

Salamence @ Life Orb | Intimidate
Naive 64 Atk / 192 SpA / 252 Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast

What not to bait in Salamence counters than Salamance himself? Mence is a difficult pokemon to counter due to the variety of his sets. Once our fabled revenge killers and walls are worn down by Salamence, Salamence will be able to sweep with no fear. The idea is basic, and the result makes sense. However, I now have a huge ice, dragon, and stealth rock weakness.

Starmie @ Leftovers | Natural Cure
Timid 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
-Scald
-Thunder Bolt
-Ice Beam
-Rapid Spin

Starmie is here to rapid spin and rock face. The main threats I see to this team are powerful dragons or other set up sweepers and starmie keeps the heat on them. I want to only time for my opponent to feel comfortable enough to set up to be 0% of the time; a theme that you will see throughout this team. I'm a bit wary trading my SpA for HP, but it could prove to be the better option.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers | Iron Barbs
Relaxed 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
-Spikes
-Leech Seed
-Gyroball
-Power Whip

Spikes are great, ruining most set up sweepers is great, resisting dragons well is great, wearing down my opponent in general: GREAT. This guy and starmie go together just as well as Salamence and Salamence, covering each other's weaknesses and keeping my opponent stewing in a generally uncomfortable place. Will they survive? Probably not.

Scizor @ Choice Band | Technician
Adamant 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
-Bullet Punch
-Super Power
-U Turn
-Quick Attack

Possibly the right man for the job, possibly my biggest hole. Bullet Punch will save me when things go wrong and someone gets to set up, U Turn will allow me to switch in the right Mence for the right job. I don't like being locked in a move on a team that doesn't want set up to happen, however. Going for a bulky swords dance could be a fun alternative.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers | Sandstream
Sassy 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
-Stealth Rock
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Fire Blast

This final pokemon is a bit of a cop-out. I want Stealth Rock and I don't want my opponent to control the weather. Something better could probably go here, or I could be using Tyranitar in a better way. At this point, I feel he functions as a checkmate against a scizor, latios, gengar, or ferrothorn, while luring in fighting types for my mences to menace.

My final feelings for this team: Those life orbs will probably hurt a lot, then again, this team is going to make my opponent hurt a lot. It looks great on paper, but I've been out of practice to know if it'll be as awesome as I hope..

Also, if you feel you have a better abuse of this clause lack, let me know.

And thank you for your time! : )
