Double Team (OU)

First off, I need you to know that this team requires three electric pokemon. This is due to me being a gym leader in another league. I've played around with this team for a while and it seems pretty solid. I also have on question before i get started. How do you double battle in shoddy?(if you can)

I went with discharge instead of thunder bolt for two reason. 1) is the higher paralyze rate.
2) is it is supposed to be teamed up with electivire. This is essentially the famous Zapvire combo, done with rotom instead. the reason for this, is exploder leads are way too freakin common now, and He can set up some wonderful screens, which is practically mandatory in now. Shadowball>will-o-wisp for better coverage.

Electivire (Ratatosk) @ Expert Belt
Motor Drive
Adamant (+ Atk, -Spa)
EV:4hp/ 252atk/ 252 spe

~Thunder Punch
~Cross chop

Standard Electivire, hits 13 different types for super effective, with support from rotom spamming discharges, then electivire keeps on getting faster. not to mention the screen support allows them both to stay alive longer.

Jolteon (Verius) @Leftovers
Ability:Volt Absorb
Nature:Timid (+Spe -Atk)
EV: 6 HP/ 252 SPA/ 252 SPE
~Baton Pass

~Substitute
~Charge Beam

This is basically more support for my sweepers in this team. Lure out elec users with gyrados, bring this in and sub away. If i'm lucky I'll even be able to pass off a Spa boost to one of my pokemon. Verius here needs a fourth move, I can't use Hidden Power because I don't feel like putting that much effort into breeding.

Gardevoir (Martel) @Leftovers
Ability:Trace
Nature:Modest (+Spa -Atk)
EV: 252 HP/ 48 SPA / 176 SPD/ 32 SPE
~Wish
~Will-o-wisp
~Psychich
~Focus Blast

I use her mostly for the sake of my girlfriend (gardevoir is one of her favorites) But to be honest, I really need wish support on this team, and while jirachi could do just as good a job, Gardey comes with Will-o-wisp and a nice neutrality to ground. Which I already have two weaknesses of.

Gyrados (Alice) @Life Orb
Ability:Intimidate
Nature:Adamant (+Atk, _Spe)
EV: 6 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
~Dragon Dance
~Ice Fang
~Water Fall
~Earthquake

Good pokemon, hovers the likes of earthquakes and such, Standard DDer, not much else to say about it.


Absol (Shadow) @Choice Scarf
Ability:Super Luck
Nature:Adamant (+Atk, -Spe)
EV: 6 HP/ 252 ATK/ 252 SPE
~Night Slash
~Super Power
~Psycho Cut
~Pursuit

Absol is there for a little bit of a synergy boost. Rotom and Gardey both have a ghost/dark weakness and Absol here sponges it up nicely, while the former compliment His Fighting weakness. Scarfed for speed, he's rather frail.

First thing first, you don't have sr. This will let threats like Salamence switch-in will little trouble and allow him to fire ff EQuake. Mixmence can be really problimatic as it can hit both your ground immunities and OHKO one if not both of them when factoring in SR. I personally see little reason to use the sub sweeper set of Jolteon simply because it is outclassed by the specs and non-specs set. Tyranitar is a very common switch-in and will wall and be able to dish out plenty of damage to Jolteon. I see a bit of a Ttar weakness here in general as you lack a perfect switch-in. Gyarados is really your only answer to several major threats such as mence, scarftran, and CB Tyranitar and once it is gone you have almost no bulk at all. Gardevoir, although bulky, has poor typing and has trouble swtching in due to its nuetrality to ground. I don't see it lasting very long. Either it will wish pass or manage to burn a switch-in but not both. Try someone like wishbliss here instead. I really don't see why you have Electivire on this team. Any smart player will never use Thunderbolt against a team filled with Electrics. I think Zapdos would be the better choice here. Another thing I noticed is that your apparently runing the standard rotom. Don't, the other forms have better stats and your better off running something like a scarf set. I would replace absol with a ood lead. If you hate exploders that much why not try something like Swampert with protect? Could you please tell me which league this is? It should be fun battling theme teams like these. Gl
