Hello! If you want to be a part of Twinleaf Turboblaze this season, please feel free to message me or LogIce here in smogon DMs or on discord (Discord is preferred) with anything you think would be relevant to getting into derby Ladder peaks, replays, tour results, etc I will not respond to everyone, but I will read and confirm that I have read what everyone has submitted. Howdy! After a one-year hiatus, the Doubles Derby I champion team Red Spect Redemption is returning once again to build up a crew that cooks with fire in the teambuilder, takes wins, and has a lot of fun in the process!
Tryouts will not be held, but if this sounds like a team you'd like to be a part of, my DMs on Discord (GenOne) or here on Smogon forums are open. I will do my best to read and acknowledge everyone who reaches out.

NATDEX SHOUTOUTS POST
With 12 natdex slots and a vast pool of signups, it might be hard for managers less familiar with the tier to spot the cream of the crop, especially among the numerous natdex mains that don't touch too many other doubles formats. As someone who's been consistently active in the tier through last derby, played/supported in NDPL and won the circuit I feel qualified to shoutout some less noticed players that have caught my eye over the last 8 monthsThe players in this section should have no issue being self-sufficient performers if drafted, capable of bringing dominant builds in a format driven by its builder first.

Nidorus - Perhaps the builder I fear the most in natdex, truly a master chef.
Eragon - No Explanation needed. Could sweep a completely different tier while supplying broken teams to the ND slots and the natdex slots would go positive.
Kunal (Shadekirby321) - Kunal hasn't been around long nor has he gotten to play in any tournaments yet, but permit yourselves to take a leap of faith on him. Kunal's knack for building natdex has radically shaped the metagame in the past several months, restoring glory to amoonguss, developing Xurkitree as a significant threat in the metagame to the point of earning it not one but two sample teams, and most recently being a driving force behind the resurgence of tapu koko aided by iron hands, which saw massive usage in the recent National Dex Blind Draft teamtour. Kunal's builder is one of the driving forces of metagame development and any team lucky enough to nab him will have a strong edge over the competition in both slots, even if he doesn't play himself.
Terekusai - Terekusai had a fantastic year in the Natdex circuit, netting himself 3rd seed in the circuit playoffs and making top 4 in that tournament, being knocked out by myself in semis. Tere also made finals of the Summer Seasonal last year, only being defeated by Eragon himself and has generally shown solid play throughout the year in Natdex. Tere loads solid teams backed by good play and has been putting up results in indivs, but unfortunately ended up as the biggest snub from NDPL despite this. If your team needs an additional starter slot that will be self-sufficient terekusai is a great pick.
Voltix - A regular in the tier, Voltix managed to go 4-4 in NDPL. Voltix has been playing this format far longer than I, and throughout the year has had solid performances, earning second seed in circuit playoffs (behind Eragon). Voltix should have no issue slotting and playing, ebing a player that has always struck me as self-sufficient and solid, a good bet.
Enzonana - El nana goob. Wins games and has been active in the tier for most of the last year.

The players in this section are excellent in their own right, but may need assistance acclimating to the builder arms race of natdex, especially in lieu of the very recent Stakataka ban. However given good support they should have no problems thriving in the tier.
Laptops - Notable for requesting a builder in his signup, Laptops has proven his competence at playing the format with a 6-2 record in the last Derby and 4-3 record in NDPL with good wins against regulars of the format.
Akaru - My partner in crime in NDPL, Akaru excelled in the pool with great play backed by my building, netting himself a great 4-1 record (which undoubtedly would have been higher had his availability not forced him to sub out for 3 weeks), with Akaru's only loss in NDPL being with a mudsdale team we made to play a game which made no difference on our playoffs cut. Akaru showed great enthusiasm towards the tier as that tournament went on and I have no doubt that with good support he can outplay a large section of this pool.
Bagel - Bagel is a monster, but his records in natdex teamtours wouldn't lend to that description. Having gone 2-2 in Derby 2 and 1-5 in NDPL, bagels history in natdex teamtours take a player that I would easily list as a prime starter candidate as someone who I'd make sure I have good natdex support for before slotting. However none of that detracts from Bagel being possibly the best player mentioned in this post, and if he finds his footing in the format there will undoubtedly be carnage.
Chris32156 - Chris put up a fantastic 5-2 record in Derby last year and has hovered around the format since, playing a few games in NDPL. Though I haven't seen too much of chris recently I have confidence that he could find his footing in the tier in this tournament with few issues, especially if provided good test partners.
Eatfoods - Foods faced off against me in quarters of circuit playoffs, where her play managed to impress me a fair bit. Foods has been active in the format for some time now and she has consistently loaded good teams, both conventional and new.
Test Bots - A circuit playoffs qualifier, Test bots went 3-2 last derby and has pulled out a few surprises throughout the circuit year, someone to keep an eye out for.
ChainlessJoe - Joe put up a solid 3-2 record last year and continues to be a competent player of the format. Could excel with some strong builder support.

These players have ample knowledge of the format to act as support slots or sub in when needed effectively.
Frixel - Not the most active natdex player but fundamentally good enough that he could win games if handed good teams
Penter - An ever-reliable test game partner, Penter managed to score two wins in NDPL as a sub and will consistently bring challenging teams for his opponents to respond to in the builder, a true wildcard pickup and good support for other players on the team.
Smudge - Recently had some good wins in the blind draft tour, always has a good handle on the metagame to be able to provide good support for his teammates.
Flying Beagle - Definitely solid enough a player to pick up the tier with good support, but still a slight gamble given the relative experience of the field.
Big Pichu - Another ND tier leader, should be capable of providing good support to the other slots.
Sealife - Went 4-4 last derby, solid player overall
Iceberg77 - Iceberg returns after a disappointing derby last year. As a veteran of the tier iceberg certainly has the potential to put up some numbers if slotted.

Seth - The GOAT of moral support and managing team tours :)

That's about it. A lot of the managers this year are natdex regulars (Jello, Glimmer, Logice, xqiht) so some of the best players of the format got left off this list because of that. Hopefully this is helpful to any managers needing assistance with drafting natdex, the pool is pretty competitive this year with the downsizing.

He is a very formidable opponent and I would hate to face them in a tournament

Paraplegic 1st seed in the 2022 Circuit and won swiss the same year, he helped me a lot during my circuit runs, and I can say confidently even without any recent big results he's absolutely capable of starting and going positive
Actuarily 80%+ win-rate in DLC in team tours with 7 individual tour wins without a doubt he's the greatest of all time also always gets to at least semi-finals of circuit, 2022 Finals, 2023 semi-finals, 2024 semi-finals

Cepha solid LCBC (4-1) won DLC Majors and got to finals of the 2024 circuit he’s a bit unconventional when building but he puts up wins for the love of god don’t let him go for less then 6k

*eragon we all know him, good run in LCBC took out some big names if you can convince him to play, he'll do fine I helped with most of his teams literally all I did was toggle EVs

Hello friends. As you're probably aware, the derby draft is tomorrow! Derby is a special tournament to me, not only because my teammates and I were able to win the tournament last year, but also because it represents the massive amount of effort the doubles community has put in over the past few years to establish tiers that no one could've ever seen becoming so popular.
The other day I had something really funny in mind: how can we create the largest "derb" chain in the server's history? Surely, someone was going to shut it down or say something to break the chain sooner or later. So I came up with the idea to run the chain as a small charity drive, where every derb message from a unique chatter added another dollar I would donate to a charity, to a max of $50. Spoiler alert, I was always going to donate the entire amount, but it's nice to have some stakes isn't it?
LuBiStar20 hopped in to add another 30 derbs to the total, though I woke up this morning to find that we were 6 derbs short of maxing the chain at 80. Still, 74 derbs is incredible. This might be the longest chain message with entirely unique chatters in any Smogon discord's history. I would like to immortalize everyone who participated in this post.

I was diagnosed pretty late in life for T1D - I had already graduated high school, and as such I didn't grow up with any challenges from it, but my brother was a different story. I'll save the specifics but I do hope this drop in the bucket for this organization is put to good use, and if I'm able it'd be nice to do this again for the future DOU team tours.
