Done [Doubles] Orthworm (QC 1/1) [GP 1/1]

Pengu

happy time
is a Top Team Rater
Orthworm @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Earth Eater
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Heavy Slam
- Shed Tail

Orthworm digs and slithers its way into Doubles OU! This tricky worm holds a one-of-a-kind ability, Earth Eater, which lets it reliably wall out one of the most threatening Pokemon this tier has to offer, Landorus. Orthworm uses a tried-and-true combination in IronPress to deal damage, while Heavy Slam decently damages foes that resist Body Press such as Landorus and super effectively hits Diancie. The selling point is Shed Tail, providing a Substitute to let an ally safely set up. This was seen in the match replay below, where Shed Tail gets bagel's Dragonite in safely against a fully boosted Manaphy. Tera Fire lets Orthworm resist attacks from Fire-types like Chi-Yu and Ogerpon-H, while Sitrus Berry helps keep its health up after a Shed Tail. Bulky special attackers like Gholdengo and Raging Bolt can easily take Orthworm's attacks, threatening KOs and using its passivity as an opening to boost with Calm Mind and Nasty Plot, respectively. Thanks to Earth Eater, Orthworm pairs nicely with Earthquake users like Dragonite and Ting-Lu. Additionally, Ting-Lu is a great ally for Orthworm, as it lowers the Special Attack of foes on the field and pressures both Gholdengo and Raging Bolt with Ground-type STAB moves.

Orthworm digs and slithers its way into Doubles OU! This tricky worm holds a one of a kind ability, Earth Eater, which, when paired with its Poison-type immunity, makes it able to reliably wall out one of the scariest most threatening Pokemon this tier has to offer, Landorus. Thanks to Earth Eater, Orthworm pairs nicely with Earthquake users like Dragonite and Ting-Lu. Because of its underwhelming attacking stats, Orthworm uses a tried and true combination of Iron Defense and Body Press to deal damage, while Heavy Slam can deal decent damage into foes such as Landorus and Diancie. With all of these qualities, the selling point is Shed Tail, providing a free substitute to let a frailer (not necessarily true? it usually likes to shed tail into bulkier setup threats, see below comment) ally safely set up or come in. I think this sentence can be reworded, it feels awkwardly placed here. I would mention pokemon that orthworm likes to shed tail into, like Dragonite (see OSDT final https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9doublesou-848391) and Gouging Fire. Tera Fire grants Orthworm with a resistance to Fire-types like Chi-Yu and Ogerpon-H while Sitrus Berry helps keep Orthworm's health up after a Shed Tail. Even with these, Orthworm has its struggles. Takes up unnecessary characters and doesn't add much to the analysis in my opinion. Strong Bulky Special Attackers that can easily stomach did you mean resist or withstand here? Orthworm's attacks like Gholdengo and Raging Bolt threatening KOes and using Orthworm's passivity as an opening to boost with Calm Mind and Nasty Plot respectively. can ignore Orthworm and or KO it when with enough boosts. Ting-Lu becomes is a great ally for Orthworm in this regard seems unnecessary, lowering the Special Attack on the field and pressuring both Gholdengo and Raging Bolt with Stomping Tantrum. I think mentioning somewhere in this about the recent OSDT finals is good. Orthworm is not a common pokemon, and featuring the replay somewhere in this analysis would be very relevant and gives this more value. I would also elaborate on Setup partners like Raging Bolt, Gouging Fire, and Dragonite that benefit from the use of shed tail.

Please ping me once implemented, would like to do another check with the changes above. Overall nice work

Orthworm digs and slithers its way into Doubles OU! This tricky worm holds a one of a kind ability, Earth Eater, which, when paired with its Poison-type immunity, feels like dex info, can cut down characters by removing makes it able to reliably wall out one of the most threatening Pokemon this tier has to offer, Landorus and Diancie. Orthworm does not wall diancie (Body Press) Thanks to Earth Eater, Orthworm pairs nicely with Earthquake users like Dragonite and Ting-Lu. Move this to where you talk about partners later in analysis Because of its underwhelming attacking stats, Can cutdown on characters by removing Orthworm uses a tried and true combination of Iron Defense and Body Press to deal damage, while Heavy Slam can deal decent damage into foes that resist Body Press such as Landorus and hit Diancie for super-effective damage. With all of these qualities, The selling point is Shed Tail, providing a free substitute to let an ally such as Dragonite We mention Dragonite later can probably get rid of it here to save characters safely set up or come in. This was seen in the finals of this year's itteration iteration of OSDT you may have to spell out OSDT, I'm not sure what the guidelines are on this, where bagel (might need to tag player) uses Shed Tail to get Dragonite in safely against a fully-boosted Manaphy. Tera Fire grants Orthworm resistance to Fire-types like Chi-Yu and Ogerpon-H while Sitrus Berry helps keep Orthworm's health up after a Shed Tail. Bulky Special Attackers can easily stomach Still don't love the use of stomach here Orthworm's attacks like Gholdengo and Raging Bolt threatening KOes and using Orthworm's passivity as an opening to boost with Calm Mind and Nasty Plot respectively. Thanks to Earth Eater, Orthworm pairs nicely with Earthquake users like Dragonite and Ting-Lu. Characters without spaces (including bottom segment, not the replay): 1226

Just a few comments/fixes, tried to cut down on some characters here and there, overall count should be 1155 without spaces. It's a longer spotlight but I think with the inclusion of a replay it might be okay. Go ahead and mark 1/1 once implemented.
