DP and Revolution

Recently, people have been finding differences between DP and Revolution as far as battling goes. And judging by Stadium and Stadium 2, I bet there are more to come.

So here's my question. Do you guys think competitive Gen IV play should be based on which game?

I think it'll depend on what significant changes there are, I know for Stadium2/GSC Stadium 2's Present was used for instance, but in RBY/Stadium1 we kept RBY's Hyper Beam and such. There doesn't really seem to be enough of a precedent without seeing what changes there are I guess.

Competitor will have a "use stadium fixes" flag, which actives Stadium fixes for whichever generation you're playing in. This isn't a new concept to DP.

I find this incredibly hard to believe, but we can just test it over the summer.....

I mean, that doesn't even sound logical in my head....

I think it was something about Sableye being hit for neutral by Fighting after Foresight in PBR and SE in D/P, but I think I may have confused that with something about XD and ADV.

Actually that happens, but on Colo / XD. Sableye has literally no weaknesses on those 2 games (by GENIOUS Sonority).

I've been the one asking for quite a while if this is still true in PBR (by GENIOUS Sonority). Also of course if this affects Spiritomb as well.

So far, the only drastic difference that has be found (that I know of) is that Skill Swapping Slow Start works on PBR, but not on the DS games.

Assist in-game will copy the moves of teammates that have already fainted. However, in Colosseum Assist will only copy the moves of teammates that have not fainted yet. I don't know if this applies to link-cable battles, though.

EDIT: To clarify, this is in 3rd gen. I don't know about Assist's behavior in 4th gen.

Wait, are you referring to 3rd Gen or 4th Gen?
