Going along the same vein as Celebi, Shaymin can easily use a Life Orb set. I initially had Psychic because "beating Heracross and Roserade was cool," but Leech Seed has saved my ass so many times, and if I have to, I can hit both with HP Fire. And yea, I had Leech Seed AND Rest. As usual, I'll take comments for other moves, but I'm obviously only going to initially put what I used.

[SET COMMENTS]

Shaymin's purpose here is to use its 320 Speed to systematically wreak utter havoc on the opponent's team with Seed Flare and its 40% chance to lower the opponent's Special Defense by 2 stages. Leech Seed is chosen because it gives Shaymin the upper hand against Blissey and Snorlax and their massive HP. Rest is to heal off residual Life Orb recoil damage and any damage Shaymin might accrue throughout battle.

The choice of Hidden Power depends entirely on what Shaymin must beat. Hidden Power Fire is a nice complement to Leech Seed, and helps Shaymin beat Steel Pokemon like Skarmory and Bronzong. Hidden Power Ice can be chosen if Garchomp and Salamence are issues and Shaymin must absolutely defeat them. Hidden Power Ground is for Heatran and Houndoom, who resist Seed Flare + Hidden Power Fire / Ice.

Timid is chosen to allow Shaymin to outspeed all +Speed nature base 90 Pokemon like Roserade and Lucario, and all +Speed nature base 95 Pokemon like Gliscor and Kingdra. Modest can be chosen if outspeeding those Pokemon is less important than the added power. 32 HP EVs reach 349 HP, the perfect number for a Life Orb set, which yields 11 uses of Life Orb, as opposed to 10. Also noteworthy is that Shaymin's Natural Cure ability allows it to heal the Sleep status (along with any other status) when it switches out, meaning it can Rest with little to no concern.

I don't think you need the comma there. Someone else might want to verify.

Timid is chosen to allow Shaymin to outspeed all +Speed nature base 90 Pokemon [no comma] like Roserade and Lucario, and all +Speed nature base 95 Pokemon [no comma] like Gliscor and Kingdra. Modest can be used if outspeeding those Pokemon is less important than the added power. [Not needed]32 HP EVs [deleted to] reach 349 HP,[deleted or] the perfect number for a Life Orb set, which yields 11 uses of Life Orb, as opposed to 10.

And a version without the annoying brackets.

Like I said on IRC, you might want to mention Celebi in the Hidden Power section.

Just thought you might want to mention Shaymins ability to abuse rest + natural cure. Maybe at the end of the First paragraph.
Shaymin's ability, Natural Cure, lets it abuse Rest by Resting and then switching out, thus curing Shaymin of it's Sleep Status.

The hidden powers obviously the heart of this set, And chosing between them is a real pain... If you don't pick hp ground you'll get owned by heatran every single time and if you pick hp ground a shit load of other things can rape you, HP Ice is also hard to give up :/
I would personally not use leech seed, I don't really see the point... Its not like shaymin is a stalling pokemon its job is to hit, and hit hard.Blissey and Snorlax would still not be threatened by leech seed and Seed Flare is enough for them anyway.Though this isn't a bad set and could be insanely awesome.I would go with this though.
Shaymin @ Life Orb
Timid at 32Hp/252 Sp atk/224 speed
Ivs for HP Ground 70 and Timid
31hp/14atk/31def/31spd/30sp A/30sp D
Seed Flare
Hidden Power Ground
Psychic
Rest
With this, Heatran gets owned as well as Lucario and other steals.Heracross, Gengar and Roserade are done in by Psychic.
All in all hp ground and psychic should be first options, And there should definitly be more mention about the hidden powers and chosing between them.Pros and Cons for them would help too.

Leech Seed is chosen because it gives Shaymin the upper hand against Blissey and Snorlax and their massive HP.
Replace "and" in between "Snorlax" and "their" to "with".

I actually don't like the 2nd paragraph but I can't really think of a better way to word it atm.

Thank you.

I agree with Servant, so I've rewritten it. The main issue is just the wording of the first sentence, the rest is fine. I tried to make it all around a little bit clearer, but most of it is identical. Can't wait to test this set out; I'll post again after I do my own testing.

The type of Hidden Power you opt to use is entirely dependent on the user's team. Hidden Power Fire is a nice complement to Leech Seed, and it helps Shaymin beat Steel Pokémon like Skarmory and Bronzong. Hidden Power Ice should be used if Salamence and Garchomp are huge threats to the rest of the team. Hidden Power Ground helps with Heatran and Houndoom, who otherwise will wall Shaymin.

Obviously these are subject to change; the main issue is just elucidating the first sentence so to clearly indicate that the Hidden Power should vary depending on the teams weaknesses. As usual, excellent job Aldaron.
