Thanks to CardsOfTheHearts's tier reviews in his signature (which we've all probably read millions of times now) the difference between NU and UU is determined by useage. With that in mind, I've created a list (with the help of some others in my RMT thread) of what is considered NU or borederline NU (in bold). The purpose of this is to a) give the NU metagame a nice jumpstart and b) to help define what's considered UU and what isn't. The Pokémon in bold either have NU stats but are used a lot or aren't used much in UU. When I get around to it I'll make sort of a threat list-esque list for this list, explaining why that Pokémon would be considered NU. This topic can work somewhat like the UU - BL tier discussion that's pinned, sorting out what's considered NU and UU and borderline NU, and than we can do some testing.

How did you make this list? I personally would love to play a NU metagame.
NU should be based on usage only first and foremost. Then we can start discussing what's too powerful for it and should be moved back up into UU.
I think if this discussion is to get started, we need a more comprehensive and reliable list than one that's just been put together from a few people's experiences of what they've battled the least.
The shoddy statistics might be a good place to start for this. We just need to decide where the cutoff it.

What I did is I looked at the Pokédex and stats, as well as the counters sections, the opinion, any other options and some warstories. Some Pokémon that I saw weren't that great but were used a lot (Dewgong) I put as borderline, and others that are good but still weren't used a lot I also put as borderline (Seviper, Victreebell, Skuntank, etc). So everything not in bold is defininetly NU, but stuff that is in bold is pending. I also looked at what they gained from the generation shift as well as their position in ADV, and if another Pokémon outclasses them, are they still good?

At this point, this thread cannot promote good discussion with the content in the original post. As it is, the UU metagame is no where near settled - and we need something more than subjective usage opinions to kick something like this off.
