Tournament DPL XI - Week 7

• Follow all rules listed here.
• Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
• If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
• Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
• If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
• Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
• Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

Playoff Scenarios - What does your team need to make playoffs?
back by popular demand I'm doing playoffs scenarios, I do these by hand so feel free to double check my work (also I use BD and differential interchangeably in this post just fyi)

Snowpoint City Cold Crew
--Already qualified for playoffs. Only two other teams can reach or surpass 9 points which cements them 3rd seed at worst entering playoffs.

Slateport City Spindas
-Win or tie will qualify them for playoffs
-If Spindas lose to the Cold Crew, all of the following cannot happen
--BOTH Cratermakers AND Lands winning their matches and ending with higher differential than the Spindas
--Ducks win or tie while maintaining higher BD than the Spindas

Milwaukee Ducks
-Win will qualify them for playoffs
-If Ducks tie, the following cannot happen
--The Spindas tie or defeat the Cold Crew AND Cratermakers AND Lands win their matches and end with higher differential than the Ducks
--In the event of the Spindas defeating the Cold Crew in the above scenario, the Cold Crew would have to maintain a BD higher than 4 (i.e. not losing 8-0. losing 7-1 would technically tie the teams in BD)
-If Ducks lose, TWO of the following cannot happen
--Gholdengos have higher differential than the Ducks after winning
--Cratermakers win OR tie, but have higher differential than the Ducks (equal differential would mean they need to tiebreak for playoffs)
--Lands win OR tie, but have higher differential than the Ducks

Browbeat Lands 2
-If Lands win, ONE of the following must happen
--The Cratermakers lose, tie, OR win while maintaining less BD than the Lands
--The Ducks lose OR tie, while maintaining less BD than the Lands
--The Spindas lose and maintain less BD than the Lands
-If Lands tie, the following MUST happen
--The Cratermakers must lose (a tie would mean they need to tiebreak for playoffs)
--The Gholdengos must lose OR tie
-If Lands lose, all of the following MUST happen
--Cratermakers lose while maintaining less BD than the Lands
--Gholdengos lose
--Glimmoras must maintain lesser BD than the Lands

Paldea Cratermakers
-If Cratermakers win, ONE of the following must happen
--The Lands lose, tie, OR win while maintaining less BD than the Cratermakers
--The Ducks lose OR tie, while maintaining less BD than the Cratermakers
--The Spindas lose and maintain less BD than the Cratermakers
-If Cratermakers tie, the following MUST happen
--The Lands must lose (a tie would mean they need to tiebreak for playoffs)
--The Gholdengos must lose OR tie
-If Cratermakers lose, all of the following MUST happen
--Lands lose while maintaining less BD than the Cratermakers
--Gholdengos lose
--Glimmoras must maintain lesser BD than the Cratermakers

Po Town Gholdengos
-If Gholdengos win, one of the following MUST happen
--BOTH of Cratermakers and Lands either lose or tie their series (since all teams are +0 BD, a win would guarantee Gholdengos pass the other teams)
--ONE of the Cratermakers and Lands either lose or tie their series AND Gholdengos end up with higher BD than the Ducks
-If Gholdengos tie, ALL of the following must happen
--BOTH of Cratermakers and Lands must lose their matches
--Glimmoras must maintain lesser BD than the Gholdengos (they can mathematically only tie the Gholdengos in an 8-0 scenario, forcing tiebreak)
-If Gholdengos lose
--They cannot qualify for playoffs

Geosenge Town Glimmoras
-If Glimmoras win, ALL of the following MUST happen
--Glimmoras end the week with higher BD than the Lands WHILE Cratermakers AND Gholdengos lose (If Glimmoras 8-0 the Lands and Gholdengos tie, a tiebreak is forced)
-If Glimmoras tie or lose
--They cannot qualify for playoffs

Kitchen Kingdras
--Cannot qualify for playoffs
