DPP/Gen IV special challenge among friends, need team ideas

yo
i'm super new here and just been lurking looking at DPP ubers and OU for ideas for a team.
my friends are doing a challenge where we have a few weeks to play our respective gen iv game and get together a team for a 6v6 battle on battle revolution.

rules are:
- only 1 legendary per team
- no mythicals
- no double team/minimize
- every held item must be unique (e.g. no 2 holding leftovers, etc.)
- possibly only 1 poke asleep/frozen at a time

besides that everything is fair game i think, provided you can acquire it. mystery gifts allowed, and trading between each other is allowed too.

any ideas for a really strong team? I'm playing Pokemon Diamond. friends are playing plat, hg and ss

sorry if this isn't the best place to post this i'm a bit overwhelmed by the structure of everything on here and haven't really been active on forums before.

completely understandable, there's a lot going on.

unfortunately smogon in general doesn't really tend to pay attention to non-smogon metagames. that means that there aren't really any great places to talk about custom metagames like you and your friends made

best I can come up with is to look at

smogoff is the off topic forum that's about basically everything besides actual competitive battling, so unfortunately you're in probably the least helpful place for what you want :psywoke:


normally I lock threads like these, but I'll keep this open. maybe someone knows of another part of the forum, a pokemon showdown chatroom, or maybe an official smogon discord server where someone could help with your questions, and would be helpful enough to post a link to it here
