In this corner, we have one of the most ferocious physical wallbreakers in DPP NU, Life Orb Hitmonchan! Mach Punch lets Hitmonchan check faster threats such as Tauros and Floatzel. Ice Punch and Thunder Punch are boosted by Iron Fist, and both let Hitmonchan hit common Fighting-resistant Pokemon quite hard with Life Orb. Ice Punch can hit Vileplume and Nidoqueen, while Thunder Punch hits Slowking and Charizard. The given EV spread allows Hitmonchan to outspeed neutral-natured Magneton and Poliwrath. Since Hitmonchan is checked by common Psychic- and Ghost-types, it appreciates Skuntank as a teammate to Pursuit trap these threats. Other physical attackers such as Tauros and Floatzel can take advantage of Hitmonchan beating down common physical walls such as Regirock, Sandslash, and Slowking. Special wallbreakers such as Charizard and Haunter that can take on Hitmonchan's consistent defensive checks like Dusclops and Sableye are also appreciated.
