General Tournament Rules
- Visit this link if you need any sort of refreshers as far as how tours work.
- If I need to clarify tournament rules in further detail, I will. However, as far as I know, either A) these rules will never be read, or B) you'll already know any of the rules I could possibly need to yap on about.
- If you ever have any questions about general tournament rules, please ask me. I'm here to ensure that everyone is able to have fun, as part of a respectable tour. I'd be more than happy to go over rules/rulings in detail if people ask, but the truth of the matter is that the link above covers almost anything you'd possibly need to know.
- This is a Gen 4 OU Tournament. All matches must be played in "[Gen 4] OU".
- This tournament will be Double Elimination. If you lose a game, don't flipping quit the tour. Play it out.
- All matches are best of three. You may switch teams between games within a match.
- Saving replays is mandatory. You do not have to post your unless mentioned in the round's OP.
- Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown (or smogtours server).
- Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
- Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
- OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
- Evasion Clause: Evasion moves are banned, as are Sand Veil and Snow Cloak for Pokémon with more than one ability.
- HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages
- Baton Pass Stat Trap Clause: The following combinations of moves/effects are prohibited
- Baton Pass + Any Stat-Boosting Move
- Baton Pass + Any Effect which restricts the switching of pokemon
- As a note: If anyone tries to cause an infinite battle, use the /offertie command. If they don't accept, let me know.
- I'd prefer y'all didn't cancer in tours, but this is smogon we're talking about. My words only mean so much.

Winners Round Robin

Both of these are separate Round Robins, but are being played out simultaneously so as to not waste a full week of your time. Replays are required. Please save each game, and submit them with your win for any corresponding set.
I'm sorry that it had to come to this.
Because of the completely cursed way this tour started, we are doing a triple round robin over the course of two weeks. First, a round robin among the Winner's bracket and a round robin among the Loser's bracket. Then, a single round robin consisting of the two losers from Winner's bracket and the winner of Loser's bracket. This way, everyone will still need to lose two sets to be eliminated. This decision to resolve the tour via triple round robin was done under the direct guidance of more than one TD and multiple other experienced tour hosts, and I later double-checked with an additional TD for guidance on carrying it out.
It was my fault for not seeing the "Double Elimination" option in the bracketmaker (which, yes, is the only reason that we are forced to do this), and I should have reached out for assistance during Week 1 and Week 2 from someone more experienced when I learned that the (now former, as they've been banned) main host was too inebriated to check my work in both instances. Since then, I've been checking everything I do with people who have been doing this far longer than I.
I apologize for any and all inconveniences involved, and please be assured that I have been thoroughly reined in since as early as Week 3. After this tournament, I do not plan on hosting Seasonals, DPP or otherwise, for the foreseeable future, so that ideally none of you will have to worry about having a shoddy tour host like this. If I do host tours again after DPP Seasonals have concluded, it will only be after consulting a TD/TO on the matter and would most likely be limited to the Ruins of Alph Spotlight tournaments (Which are both infinitely more chill and undeniably have more personality to them). If you read all of this... thank you for doing so. Have a wooper for your troubles

Thanks for being patient with me, and just lmk if there are any questions/concerns. Make sure to schedule early if possible, but as y'all can see we're most concerned about getting games played than we are about being sticks in the mud, so should an extension be needed, just ask by Wednesday.
Your deadline for this week is Sunday, October 27th at 11:59 PM GMT-4. Feel free to ask for extensions where they are needed, ideally by Wednesday.
