DPP UU is the 3rd official generation of UU, and marks the beginning of some major differences in generations, such as physical and special being unique to moves instead of types, the introduction of items such as Choice Specs, Life Orb, and Choice Scarf, and the introduction of Stealth Rock as a new and powerful hazard. A lot of these traits lead towards DPP UU being a more offensively inclined tier than previous generations, extra hazards exist and more ghost types to spinblock to protect them, and threats got progressively more powerful offensively, but defensive behemoths such as Clefable, Venusaur, Registeel, and Milotic still provide plenty of room for defensive structures to thrive.

Hello everyone, after 3 years of waiting we finally have the DPP UU Viability Rankings update!

Since it has been a long time without an update we decided to make requirements accessible in terms of amount of tournaments being considered to qualify but also harsher to get requirements in terms of results. The requirements are: 3 DPP UU wins in UUPL XII, UUPL XI, UUSD IV, UUSD III, DPPPL IV or DPPPL III or being a finalist of DPP UU Cup VI, leading to the following list of qualified voters:

Hitmonlee in A- , we used to pray for times like these.

Why did Dugtrio drop so low? Is it because the targets it wants to trap often pack priority or that Rhyperior is popping up on structures that earlier used Registeel? I assume Dugtrio drop is also a reason for Swellow drop since they are often paired together.

Why did Blastoise rise? Defensive Blastoise is pretty bad, being inept at spinning and just an overall worse bulky water than Milo, were the choiced offensive sets that reliable?
