Hello,

This team could use some help. Originally, it boasted Dragonite as a member, but I've switched to Garchomp... and may switch back.

It has a massive BoltBeam weakness sadly, and I'm not sure how to fix it. I'd like to keep the Crobat, Charizard, Lucario, and Gyarados around. The rest I'm open to suggestions.

The larger picture is to go for a fast Hypno with the Crobat, U-Turn into a threat for the incoming pokemon, and use a set up move on the switch. You'll note that both walls and Garchomp all boast a set up move to use.

Drusilla (Crobat) (F) @ Wide Lens
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 160 HP/216 Spd/132 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Taunt
- U-turn
- Air Slash
---

Opening Pokemon. Between Hypnosis (Boosted accuracy from Wide Lense) and taunt she can usually force a switch out or a set up.

Grimlock (Garchomp) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang
- Swords Dance
---

This used to be a Dragonite because DD/Outrage Rocks. However, I was too weak to Electric, and Garchomp gets a free switch in on predicted Electric Attacks (Which a lot of my team will draw out).

Joey (Lucario) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Extremespeed
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Close Combat
---

Choice Banded Physical Threat. Whee. In case they don't switch, or I run into an abuser of Focus Sash.

Champlain (Gyarados) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/100 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Fang
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
---

Counter to opposing Garchomps, Bulky Water, and a potential Gyarados Counter along with Lucario. If he gets in a Dragon Dance on the Sweep he can take on quite a few Pokes on his way out.

Roosevelt (Snorlax) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 128 HP/130 Def/252 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Rest
- Crunch
- Body Slam
---

Special Wall. I've considered Calm Mind Blissey here too. Curse on the switch in, Run if its a Close Combat User. Once you can account for all the opponent's Close Combats, he can be pretty deadly.

Cyldragon (Charizard) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Dragon Pulse
- Air Slash
- Focus Blast
---

Choice Specs threat. On this team they expect Bellyzard as the others are all set up Pokes, and they often get a nasty surprise. He can fare pretty well against most pokes.

In all seriousness, I didn't expect this to be a top 10 team, but it has just EPIC failed in my hands, so I'm missing something. Any suggestions to close the SemiTruck sized hole this team appears to have would help.

Bulky Gyarados wants Taunt, always.

You also need a physical wall somewhere, something like Skarm or Gliscor or even Hippowdon or Donphan could be a very good idea, since you lack a spinner and three pokemon are weak to Stealth Rock (Charizard will take 50% from it, double weakness, which gives you ONE switch). A spinner is absolutely important for that team, or you will be losing your pokemon to Stealth Rock damage

Overall Team: As it stands right now, 3 pokemon weak to Stealth Rock with no spinner isn't nice. I would personally remove Charizard. You could add in Gengar (no Boltbeam weakness, still has ground immunity, hits just as hard as Charizard), or possibly Weezing. You have nothing to really absorb physical attacks often, and Weezing is quite proficient at using special attacks as well. I like Blissey over Curselax to be honast, much more reliable. It's up to you though.

Fixing the Boltbeam weakness: I've already suggested replacing Charizard. Something else I would do would to to replace Lucario with Magnezone, even though I am a big fan of CB Lucario. Now I know you said you wanted to keep Lucario, but hear me out. Magnezone, first of all, has great resistances, a massive SpAtk stat and can pull off some good sets even with its limited movepool. Magnezone, Garchomp and Gyarados are also 3 pokemon in the game that compliment each other offensivly and defensivly extremely well. Between just Gyarados and Magnezone you have a resistance to every type off attack in the game. On top of that, Magnezone also resists both Ice and Electric attacks. Magnezone won't compeltely fix your Boltbeam weakness, but it will definatly help.

Potential problems: Specs Lucario will be able to 1~2HKO everything on this team except maybe Gyarados (but Stealth Rock will take care of that). Other Gyarados could also prove to be a threat, especially if they're carrying Stone Edge for your Gyarados. If this is for Shoddy, Deoxys-S hurts quite a bit to. And last, but not least, Mamoswine. Stone Edge / Ice Shard / EQ @ Life Orb completely wrecks this team. Bronzong can take care of this, possibly over Snorlax.

Good luck, I hope this helped a little.

Thanks for the comments. I think I'm going to massively rework this team and revisit it in light of some of the stuff posted.
