Dragalge is a great bulky special attacker that has an amazing ability in Adaptability. This allows it to tank shots from hard hitting Pokemon such as Zeraora and Urshifu while also dishing out respectable damage. Due to its poison type, Dragalge has a great utility move in Toxic which can punish set up pokemon such as Cloyster, and Volcarona, while also being able to threaten Sticky Web, and Screens setters like Grimmsnarl and Rimombee.
Dragalge's main weakness comes from its lack of speed, which means that it can be revenged killed by many hard-hitting opponents, such as Excadrill who resists Dragalge's main stab attacks. To overcome this lackluster speed, trick room may be needed. For this reason, Dragalge should be placed on teams which pokemon benefit from Trick Room, such as Hatterene and Clawitzer. Moveset wise, your main stab moves will be Sludge Wave and Dragon Pulse. If you want to go hyper offensive, an Adaptability Draco Meteor can OHKO most of the meta aside from Faries and Steel Types. To overcome this, Haze can be great to replenish special attack while also making sure pokemon like Togekiss and Speed Boost Scolopide aren't a problem.
