[SET COMMENTS]
Set Description
========
Curse puts opponents on a timer while Dragapult can stall out the opponent's health. Substitute lets it scout for an attack, and block status moves such as Trick and Will-O-Wisp from Cresselia and Spectrier respectively. Disable, when used after Substitute, lets Dragapult shut down the opponent's attacking move, and forces Choiced opponents to use Struggle. Phantom Force acts as its damaging move to finish off frail opponents like Spectrier, while taking up another turn for extra Curse damage.

EVs
========
The given speed investment allows for Dragapult to outspeed base 130s Pokemon, while the bulk allows for Dragapult to live a Shadow Ball from Choice Scarf Blacephalon. An alternative spread of 140 HP / 4 Atk / 244 SpD / 120 Spe with a Jolly nature lets Dragapult outspeed base 125s Pokemon and survive a Moonblast from Choice Scarf Tapu Lele.

Usage Tips
========
Always use Substitute on Turn 1 to scout for a move. Use Disable on Turn 2 against an attack, while use Curse should be used if the opponent has not broken Dragapult's Substitute. Continue to use Substitute to wear down the opponent's health, then Phantom Force can be used once Dragapult is safe behind a substitute, or the opponent can be KO'd by it. Dragapult beats most opponents that only have one move to break its Substitute, including most Choiced users such as Specs Genesect, Band Rillaboom, and Scarf Heatran, as well as stall users namely Registeel. Dragapult can also defeat non-Choiced Urshifu-S by using Disable on its Wicked Blow. However, it should be noted that Scarf Darmanitan-G, Scarf Urshifu-S and Specs Sylveon are all Choiced users that beats Dragapult. Dragapult also loses to Pokemon with multiple ways to break Dragapult's Substitute, such as Zygarde, Moltres-G.

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Draco Meteor
move 2: Shadow Ball

move 4: Thunderbolt
item: Choice Specs
ability: Infiltrator
nature: Modest
evs: 28 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 224 Spe

Set Description
========
Draco Meteor is its hardest hitting STAB move, taking out Dragon-types such as Nagandel and non-Haban Berry Zygarde. Shadow Ball lets it deal with Cresselia and Jirachi, as well as Spectrier. Flamethrower handily KOs non-Choice Scarf Darmanitan-G, Genesect and Kartana before they could KO back, as well as Choice Specs Magnezone. Fire Blast is an alternative over Flamethrower which offers higher base power, notably securing the OHKO on Rillaboom, but comes with the chance of missing. Thunderbolt lets it beat Urshifu-R and Volcanion.

EVs
========
The given speed investment allows for Dragapult to outspeed Naganadel, while 4 EVs in SpD are used to give Genesect an attack boost from Download. Maximum SpA investment lets Dragapult hit as hard as possible. The remaining EVs are put in HP to improve its bulk.

Usage Tips
========
Dragapult is fairly easy to use, by using the move that would deal the most damage. It beats most Pokemon that it can hit super effectively, with the exception of Fairy-types such as Primarina and Tapu Fini, as well as Moltres-G and Registeel. The former three are able to live a hit and OHKO Dragapult, while Registeel is bulky enough to stall it out using Amnesia and Rest. Against Necrozma, it should be noted that Draco Meteor deals more damage than Shadow Ball and has a higher chance to OHKO Specs variants. However, the SpA drop from Draco Meteor leaves it walled by Stall variants after a Sitrus Berry healing and a Calm Mind boost, while Shadow Ball could 2HKO Stall sets, depending on the EV spread of Necrozma.

Other Options
=============
A SubDisable set with Dragon Dance and Dragon Darts lets Dragapult have better offensive presence to improve its matchup against the likes of Regieleki and Zygarde, though this makes it automatically lose to all Fairy-types and most Steel-types, and thus is less consistent than running Curse. Will-O-Wisp + Hex is an option which lets Dragapult beat physical attackers like Rillaboom and Aggron, but Spectrier is generally a better abuser of the set, which hits harder and has access to Calm Mind.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Fairy-types**: Regardless of the set, Dragapult is unable to KO the majority of Fairy-types in the meta such as Sylveon and Tapu Fini, while all of them can OHKO Dragapult with ease.

**Choice Scarf users**: Strong Choice Scarf users such as Darmanitan-G and Urshifu can easily outspeed and OHKO Dragapult given its mediocre bulk.

**Taunt users**: Taunt shuts down Curse sets, making Dragapult only able to use Phantom Force, which is not particularly strong against neutral opponents.
